I was too stunned to speak, but I enjoyed the generosity. 

He sat me in the passenger seat with my legs dangling out of the car. He unstrapped the heels from my legs and brought out a kit from his trunk and in it was an ointment and a sandal. 

He bent down enough to massage the salve on my heel, looking serious like he had studied how to do this. 

For a second, the thought of why he had the kit in his car gripped me and I shook it off. I wanted to enjoy this moment.

I stared down at him as he wore the sandals for me. 

When he was done, he took my hands in his and smiled at me. 

"Do you feel better now, mama," he asked and I nodded like a teenage boy who got accepted by his crush to go with him to prom. 

The inside of the restaurant shows nothing but exuberant luxury. Every embellishment in here was top tier with professional waiters and waitress attending to us.
