Chapter 1: Crazy mistake
Derrick walked home from work and as he walked he noticed the nearly empty street.
"Typical" he murmured to himself as he continued to walk.
He noticed a dollar laying across the road and as he looked at the dollar he noticed a kid running to the attended dollar and almost immediately he noticed a van heading straight for the kid.
Before Derrick could understand what was about to happen, his body reacted. He plunged in front of the fast approaching van.
"Ah!!!" he yelled and almost immediately everything turned pitch black.

Hours later
Derrick opened his eyes and found himself in a dark room.
"Is this hell? " he whispered to himself.
"Hello, Risha, I .... What, who are you"
a voice asked.
"De-de-derrick" he said nearly stammering.
"Wait your name's not on the list, if my calculations are correct you should live until you become ninty eight, what killed you?" the voice asked.
"Killed? Hmmm- a van" he said and he instantly regret it, he didn't understand why this mysterious voice was interested and him answering his never ending questions seemed to worsen his condition.
"Hmm, there's a problem" the voice said.
"Wait, I'm dead?" Derrick asked as he noticed the voice was silent.
"Yes, welcome to the afterlife, I guess there was an error you see that girl you saved was supposed to be here" the voice said calmly.
Derrick couldn't understand what the man was saying and he felt stupid listening to a man whom he could barely see.
"Who are you?" Derrick asked.
"It's not your job to know" the man replied coldly.
"Could I at least see you" Derrick asked.
The man was quiet for a while and almost immediately Derrick caught sight of a hooded figure. He was cloaked in all black.
"I suppose you understand one rule here, don't ask me for anything...."
"Can I at least see how Earth is right now" Derrick asked before the man could finish talking.
"Stubborn humans, I wonder why I'm the only one who receives the yelling but never get a raise, call me Sirinius " the man said as he opened his palm.
Derrick stood still a bit confused by everything happening. He looked at the projection and noticed his death was being broadcasted.
"Happening live at Alandare, a young man was allegedly crushed by this van where the driver claimed it was an accident, officials say he killed him out of hate but passers-by claim that he was already dead as the man could not avoid the white van.....
The reporter said as Derrick stood still probably stunned.
"Wait, don't tell me you're the one that lured that girl with just a dollar because if you are that was pretty low, very very low." Derrick yelled at the man who seemed slightly annoyed.
"It's my job I'm not like you humans besides I have an offer, I'll call it compensation" the man replied ignoring Derrick's harsh remark.
"What offer" Derrick asked.
"You can go back to being human just slightly you'll also live on Earth like I said it's also slightly different but anyways you'll still be human, I mean what do you have to lose" the man said.
"Wait,what I ....
"You're welcome" the man said as he snapped his fingers.
