First Disciple

For the rest of the night, we spoke about the changes that would be made and how I could build connections with other worlds.

The next day, I woke up earlier than everyone else to get some training. Walking into the time chamber, I worked out for a few days to perfect my new form.

Once I was happy with the progress, I left the chamber and walked back into our new house. Walking to the dining room, I saw my family eating breakfast. Joining them, I had them explain to me how much they advanced since their training.

After hearing everything, I was glad that they had gotten used to their newfound strength and had a deep understanding.

"Virgil, remember the meeting with the shareholders happens today at 2," my father said, drinking his coffee.

"Yeah, I know I will be going out for a while, but I will be back in time," I said, changing into a jogger suit.

With Stefen walking by my side, I walked into the city to relax. As I walked, I began to think about all the changes that would happen, all the good ones and some of the bad ones.

As we walked by a coffee shop, Stefen began to bark while staring at someone in the shop.

"What's wrong, boy?" I asked, looking through the shop window

When my eyes met what Stefen was barking at, I was confused; it was just a high school girl with long black hair and red eyes standing in line.

Not understanding why Stefen kept barking, I walked inside the shop and took a seat. As I looked around the shop, my eyes fell on four people. The high school girl, a man standing behind her with his jacket pointed at her back, and a man and woman standing close to them both looking around the shop with a suspicious glare.

Taking a closer look at the girl, I could see that she seemed calm and fine, but I could also see the fear in her eyes, and her hands were shaking.

(So this is what you were barking about) I thought petting Stefen

"Do you want to help her?" I asked

Giving me a bark, the people in the shop all stared at Stefen before looking away. Seeing Stefen, one of the workers walked up to me.

"I'm sorry, sir, but animals are not allowed in the shop," the young man said with a small smile.

"Sorry about that. I will leave right away," I replied

Standing up, I was about to walk out when Stefen rushed up to the girl and started to sniff her hand. Seeing the dog, I could see her expression tense up and then soften.

"Oh, hey, there, little guy," she said, petting him with a small smile.

"Hey, get you fucking mutt, man," the guy standing behind the girl said, causing the high schooler to tense up again and look down.

"Sir, please control your dog," the worker said

"I'm sorry about that, Stefen; come," I said before walking out of the shop.

"Do you have her scent?" I asked when we walked out of the store

Giving me a bark, we sat on a bus bench and waited for the group to leave. After ten minutes, the two men, a female and a high schooler, walked out of the shop and began to walk down the street. 

Following behind them, Stefen tracked them into any alleyway where a van with another group of men was waiting.

"Is this the girl?" one of the hooded men asked.

"Yup, one of the heirs of the Yamamoto clan," the man said with a grin.

"Good job, she will go for millions," another man said with a small laugh.

"Just remember we get half," the woman was gesturing with her hand.

"To think one of her own family members would sell her to us. This is the easiest payday," one of the men laughed.

"Turns out this world is really corrupt; for someone's own family to sell them," I said, walking into the alley.

"Who the hell are you?" one of the men asked

"Just a passer-by," I said, walking closer

"Just kill him; we can sell his body on the market," the hooded man said with a scoff.

"Sorry, kid, today's not your lucky day," one of the men said, holding a gun at me. 

"Little girl, close your eyes and cover your ears until I say so," 

Listing to what I said, the girl closed her eyes and covered her ears

"Stefen, kill them all," I said with a sigh.

Hearing my order, Stefen barked as black holes opened under him, and three lycans standing at ten feet crawled out of the hole and charged at the group. Before they could even yell in fear, the Lycans tore their heads off, killing them instantly. 

Picking up the bodies, they tossed them into the hole, where you could hear snarls and the sound of wild beasts eating. Closing the hole, Stefen ran up to the girl and began to lick her face, causing her to open her eyes and laugh.

"You must really like this girl to act this way," I said, walking to the girl.

"Thank you, sir, you saved my life," the girl said with a small bow.

"That was all him; all I did was watch." I looked at Stefen.

"Thank you very much, little guy; what's his name?" she asked, petting him

"His name is Stefen," 

"Well, Stefen, thank you for saving me; my name is Suki Yamamoto," the girl said, standing up

"So, what do you plan to do now?" I asked

"I don't know. I can't go home as long as someone is trying to kill me for my title," the girl began to think.

"You said your name was Yamamoto; where have I heard that name before," I began to think.

As I traced my memories, I remembered the old man from Bleach, who was an absolute badass.

"Are you related to Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto?" I asked the girl

"Yes, that is my great-grandfather," she replied

(I can't pass up on this opportunity) I thought with agrin

"How about you come with me? With my parent's help, we will be able to take your rightful place as heir,"

"I can't do that; that would be too much of a burden," she said, shaking her head.

"It's not a problem, and I will also help you awaken your soul reaper abilities," 

"...how; how do you know about that?" the girl asked, taking a step back.

"Because you're not the only one with abilities in this world," I said, holding an energy orb in my hand.

"And why would you help me? What do you want in return?'" she asked.

"Simple, I want your loyalty; the world is going to change a lot, and I need allies," I said, holding my hand out.

Looking at my hand, the girl hesitated, thinking about if she could trust me. After a few moments, she grabbed my hand and spoke.

"Very well, I will trust you," she said with a small smile.
