Pub

"Hey, you! Why did you run away?" One of the girls asked in worry.

"Huh?"

"Hey, girls. Follow me!" Kane commanded and walked away.

Silver was confused.

"You've got some explaining to do, kiddo!"

Walking in to the pub, they were greeted by Anya who was currently the only the waitress as the pub was still small. But, it seems there's a new one.

"Welcome! Nya~ nya~ nya~!" Anya happily greeted.

Upon entering, it's not just Anya who was now working. There is a new waitress, a cat person.

"Okay, kids! Order food you like!" Kane said after sitting down.

Then, Mia appeared from the kitchen.

"Let me guess, you are here to order lots of foods?" Mia asked with a smile on her face.

"You got it! And also, I'll pay for whatever the girls will order." Kane replied with a smile as well.

"Alright!" Mia said and turned to look at the girls, "Order anything you like!" She added while pointing at the board at the wall were they are listed.

"Lots of meats please! Also, some vegetable salad and orange juice, please!" Silver ordered.

"So, what did happen?" Kane asked the three girls, "Oh, by the way, my name's Kane. This kid here is my adopted son, Silver Sterling."

"Hello, mister. My name is Maya Ferion. This is Ryuu Lion, Anna Ying. These two are Cindy and Tifa Lockhart!" Maya introduced.

"Oh? Do any of you know a blonde called Cloud Strife?" Kane asked.

Then, the two Lockhart raised their hands. Kane only smiled while Silver almost choked. Kane laughed at Silver.

"Um, sir? How did you know?" Asked one of the Lockhart.

"Tifa, right? Well, would you believe me if I came from Future?" Kane asked.

"No." Said all of the girls in unison.

"How about, able to travel through time?" Kane asked once again.

"Maybe." All of them said in unison.

"Well, here's a fact! Cloud is dense." Kane said and added, "But my kiddo here, will make you happy throughout your life!"

"What are you saying old man?" Silver asked in low but audible voice.

The whole place became cold, and everyone can feel the temperature dropping slowly but continuesly.

Meanwhile, Tifa was blushing because Silver was really handsome even if he's just a kid of the same age as her.

"Heh! It looks like you've manage to discover your magic. But why ice?" Kane asked.

"The author said fire is overused. Like you, you used lightning instead fire." Silver retorted.

"What? Who's author?" the 10 years old Maya was confused.

"Here are your orders! Eat well, especially you, little Silver!" Mia came and placed the foods on their table along with Anya.

'Nice timing!' Silver thought to himself.

"Let's eat now!" Kane said and then...

Both Kane and Silver clasped their hands and said "ITADAKIMASU!".

They didn't recognized the word but they did the same energetically, except Ryuu.

"Oh yeah, which one of you is the lucky girl?" Kane asked which confused the girls.

"What?"

"I mean, Silver said that he touched a certain elf's hand. So..." Kane said while Silver only sighed.

One hand was raised, and it was Maya Ferion.

"Hm..." Kane closed his eyes.

It became silent, until Kane opened his eyes.

"What time is it, kiddo?" Kane asked.

"Um... It should be nearing 1 in the afternoon by now." Silver said.

"Alrighty, let's start your training!" Kane said and pulled out a pouch full of money and placed it on the table.

Then, the two left the group of girls.

"Did he just said training?" Cindy asked.

"Yeah... Wait! Does that mean he's already an adventurer? Like that Ais Wallenstein this month?" Maya asked out of the blue.

"He is?" Cindy and Tifa asked.

"We don't know yet. But me, Ryuu, and Maya can go to the Guild to see if he is." Anna finally talked.

« Secret Training Grounds »

*SWISH*

*THUD*

Sounds of wood clashing against wood can be heard in a secret training grounds. Two silhouettes are fighting using wooden weapons. The small figure was equipped with wooden shield and wooden sword, while the bigger figure was carrying a buster sword.

Buster sword, but not the same buster sword as Cloud's as it is double-edged sword.

"Your stance is faltering again!"

After a few more exchanges...

"You need to get used to left-handed opponents!"

Few more exchanges, and Silver was exhausted after those lessons.

"Alright, take a break!" Kane finally spoke the magic word.

"Thank god! My goodness, that was intense!" Silver muttered, loud enough to be heard while breathing heavily.

"I'll add something to your training routine." Silver groaned but Kane didn't care as he continued, "You'll also train with your left hand so you'll be able to fight using either your hands."

"Ambidexterity? That would make my progress on swordsmanship to slow, no?" Silver asked after he sat up.

"But it does suit your fighting style. Unless you want to be recognized as a different character, yes?" Kane asked back.

"Um... I don't think I know any fighting style that needs ambidexterity using sword and shield." Silver replied while trying to stand up.

"Did you know a certain Valkyrie who uses halberd which technically meant you can fight many at once." Kane said and stretched his body.

"... You mean, Freya from Mobile Legends? Who uses sword and shield and whenever she uses her Ultimate, her weapon will become a halberd? The question is..." Silver had yet to finish, Kane added.

"Possible to have sword and shield that when combined together, it becomes a halberd? Yeah, I can pretty much create one, either [Soul Bound] or [Growth Type]. Choose one." Silver said as he walks into a door with "Forge" name on it.

Silver only followed him as he chooses either of the two.

If it was Soul Bound, he can sneak in his weapons. But, he cannot used it's full potential unless he is strong enough to use the power it held. They are much like Asauchi, but they are physical creations, can be summoned if willed, can be recalled when they are far, and can be hid inside their soul.

If he chose Growth Type, his weapon gets stronger along with him. But, he cannot hide it nor be able to recall it back to him if he ever lost it, unlike Soul Bound. It is different from Bell's Hestia Knife made by Hephaestus as he is the only one who can use it.

"So, which one do you like?" Kane asked as Silver stepped inside the Forge room.

"I will choose..."
