Chapter 12: The robot girl was unmasked

"Fracius!!! Fracius!!! A kashilo!!! A kashilo has targeted us!!!" shouted the coachman at the top of his voice.

The demon immediately got out of the carriage, there was no time to lose. However, it was not even dawn yet, so he barely spotted the position of the kashilo.

He took to the air, but he didn't seem to have much bearing, staggering a little to the right, a little to the left.

Just as he was about to take something out of his jacket pocket, he saw a blue trail leave the carriage and arrive in a flash where the ground rose and fell again. It appeared to him to be Triva, from the cloak, so he shouted her name, but didn't have time to finish saying it that a loud roar reached him. Somehow, Sat's helpless little sister had just created an impact crater where he thought the kashilo was.

For a moment, he stopped moving his wings, risking falling, but he quickly managed to regain altitude. In doing so, she who to him was called Triva, turned in his direction... Two bright blue eyes, that was all he saw, for she had already gone back inside the carriage to make sure Sat had not woken up, but this was not the case.

"Hey... Dricea... What's going on? I heard a..."

The robot girl began to chant, causing him to fall back asleep.

Shortly afterwards, Fracius returned inside the carriage. What he found there was Dricea with Sat's head resting on her lap as she sang and stroked it.

He sat down in front of her, then, with absolute seriousness told her "Your name is not Triva, is it?"

She did not answer him, she could not stop singing, or Sat might wake up, she thought. However, she straightened her head, finally showing him her face.

Fracius laughed, his was a laugh like "I knew it."

He slumped his back against the seat of the transport, tired from his fatigue flying, then, he smiled at the robot girl "I never imagined one day I would have the honour of meeting you in person, Dricea, the last of the ancestral golems."

"You are wrong, my name is Triva, I have no idea who this Dricea you speak of is." she replied, as serious as never, or as expressionless as ever.

"Yet, I am sure that only the Dricea I speak of would have been able to do what you did before."

"Yes, that may be, but don't be so sure. There are people much stronger than me around the continent."

"Yes, but I doubt any other sentient being can match your speed. You are not made of flesh and bone like us, but of zeranto and magic."

The next morning, when Sat woke up, they had almost reached the city of Scelevo, its walls could already be seen. The only thing he found different from the day before, when he woke up, was that Fracius addressed Dricea as Dricea, and not as Triva.

He therefore learned of what had happened last night "A kashilo... And tell me, Fracius, what does it look like, this kashilo you speak of?"

"A dragon without wings, but with strong, powerful legs, in a nutshell."

He opened his eyes wide. Had he heard correctly? A dragon?! He had not been surprised at the kashilo, but at the fact that in describing it he had unwittingly made him aware of the existence of dragons in this world.

Be that as it may, he recomposed himself a moment later. It was not clear to him whether Dricea had revealed to Fracius that he was the third hero, but if she had, he would have referred to him at least once in that way by now, wouldn't he? So he acted in such a way as not to arouse suspicion.

At least, although the demon had learnt of Dricea's true identity, his behaviour towards them did not seem to have changed at all. All in all, Fracius was a good person, Sat thought.

About ten minutes later, they finally reached the longed-for city of Scelevo. As soon as they had passed the city walls, the headquarters of the adventurers guild being not too far from the entrance, they got out of the carriage, parting from the coachman for good.

About ten minutes later, they finally reached the longed-for city of Scelevo. As soon as they had passed the city walls, the headquarters of the adventurers guild being not too far from the entrance, they got out of the carriage, parting from the coachman for good.

Leading the way was Fracius, who told them during the carriage ride that he knew the city almost like the back of his hand, because of the many conferences he had attended and which had taken place here.

The headquarters of the adventurers guild of the city of Scelevo was not very large, just a couple of floors, but it was nevertheless very well-kept, they could tell at a glance that order and cleanliness were of some importance to the one in charge.

They stepped inside, following the demon, who guided them to the counter at the bottom of the ground floor.

Sat immediately realised that he had more than a few eyes on him, but knowing that he could count on Dricea he paid no particular attention. He knew well that if any of them tried to harm him they would first have to deal with the robot girl.
