A Quaintrelle Paradox

AXEL was never the same after what happened five years ago. He tried to be the same again, to be the sane Axel that everyone expected him to be before his life turned upside down, because of the guilt residing deep inside his heart; when a friend of his vanished like thin air, never to be seen or heard from again. He partly blames himself for being indifferent, for being absent in his friend's life, before they disappeared and was declared to be dead. He accepted this fact a few years ago, ready to move on from this guilt and live his life the way he is supposed to be. He was ready to, until he was invited to his high school reunion. That is where things turn a dark turn as the halls were filled with shouting instead of cheers, the road turned dark with either blood or rain, and marble floors colored in bright red. Everything changed so quickly, and it all comes down to the person who disappeared five years ago; the person that was once declared dead. It all started with his friend. And her name is Abigail.
