67. Whispers Of My Mind

"Tila, don't leave me, I can't be without you."

"Tila, keep breathing, un."

"Zetsu, what the fuck happened to her?"

"She's lost too much blood,"

"Her hearts hardly beating. QUICK GET HER TO THE INFIRMARY"

I snap open my eyes, shakily, sweating - the words spoken that night, those vague memories of nearly meeting death that night still plague my dreams - turning them into nightmares, it's something that I will never forget.

"Tila, another nightmare?" The soothing voice of Sasori rings in my left ear causing me to turn and face him, he sits up in bed and wraps my head into his chest, his familiar smell dispelling the fear that lingers from my nightmare.

"If Zetsu hadn't of betrayed him.. I would have been.." I whispered into Sasori's chest as I unwillingly reminisced, lingering on the thought of how close I had come to ending my life..

"It's been a month since then and your still here. You need to let go of the 'what could have been's'" He whispered back gently, firmly reassuring me that I was safe now..

That I had lived and that I was with those I loved.

"You're right, I just wish the nightmares would stop."

Sasori let go of me, his calming beige eyes meeting mine, a small cheeky smile playing in his lips.

"Let's go out and have some fun, it will take your mind of things" He persuaded, causing me to chuckle - he knew all too well that I was never good at sleeping.

"Okay, but on one condition" I smiled faintly, there was a small pause as Sasori raised an eyebrow slightly in curiosity.

"We see if anyone else is awake and take them along with us" I explained.

Earning a small nod, I slowly started to get up out of bed, threw Sasori's cloak over to him before proceeding to put my own cloak on- it was late but I had a feeling that Sasori and I weren't the only ones lurking in the darkness of the night.

We left our room and quietly walked down the corridor towards the staircase, as we reached the last step I heard two voices bickering from the kitchen, I looked back to Sasori who gave me a small smirk before lowering my chakra signature and very quietly walking towards the kitchen door..

Sasori and I crept up and stood just beside the wall outside the kitchen archway.. Listening carefully to the voices who sounded like Hidan and Deidara's.

"You don't even like fucking yoghurt, give it here" Hidan's voice beckoned.

"No way! You ate the last yoghurt tub in one day! HM" Deidara retorted irritably.

'These two argue more than anyone' I thought, mentally dead panning -.- ..

Suddenly I jumped out from behind the wall into the archway -

"BAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!" I yelled as scarily as I could manage!

"SHIIIEEETT !?!?" Hidan screamed before falling backwards off his chair, yoghurt tub flying up into the air before falling down onto the floor with a 'splat'.

"Not the yoghurt un" Deidara sighed, frowning as he looked at the mess on the floor beside Hidan before looking back up to me.

I gave a small chuckle before helping a reluctant Hidan back to his feet, the scowl on his face slowly faded, turning into a cocky smirk.

"You fucking got me again. Sheesh, no mercy, huh?" he teased, giving me that confident look that I knew so well.

"This game you two have going is stupid yeah, why are you two up anyways?" Deidara interjected, looking back towards Sasori who was now standing in the doorway as though waiting.

"I can't sleep, want to come out with us?" I asked only to receive a look of confusion from the two.

"C'mon! Let's go find something fun to do" I said, grabbing both of their sleeves then dragging them towards the doorway, receiving no further objections - Hidan snickered and Deidara let out a nasal grunt.

We all made our way out Into the dead of night, the faint sound of crickets croaked as the grey cloud slowly started to cover the clear midnight sky - the perfect night to get into mischief.

As Sasori and I leaded the way down the deserted city street out towards the outskirts, Deidara and Hidan followed silently behind, keeping an eye out for something entertaining to pop up, eventually as we made our way out into the forest we stumbled across an open field - the same lake that I had stumbled across while at the festival, but suddenly I caught sight of a figure sitting at the lake bank.. A girl..

"There's somebody there" I whispered to Sasori, he gave a small nod then looked back to Hidan and Deidara who were gawking at the beautiful lonesome figure metres away.

"She's fucking gorgeous, let's take her home" Hidan whispered, receiving a cocky smirk and nod from our blonde companion.

"Okay, why not. This could be the beginning of something beautiful" I teased in agreement.

"Fine. You two have fun. Tila and I will stay back" Sasori smiled coyly.

I watched as Hidan and Deidara slowly approached the girl from behind, confidently walking up-to her, she turned around looking frightened out of her wits before changing her stance as though attempting to use a Jutsu - Hidan then said something that I couldn't hear then he hit her in the head with the hilt of his scythe knocking her unconscious..

Dei picked her limp body up and threw it over his shoulder, they both came back towards us grinning like idiots.

Life never ceases to amaze me.
