Saving Jazlynn (2)

Alice and I drove to El Paso together and I looked out the window. I sighed softly and Alice looked at me then looked back at the road. She gently held my leg and I looked at her.

"I know how you feel. I had to leave all my friends behind for the safety of my family and The Boss. If The Boss wasn't such a huge target for the Dark Web, we wouldn't have to hide at all...but I promise everything will become better, but remember this one rule...as an Agent or Assassin, if they are a target or an oppressor they must die no matter who they are. We must save our women, our family and make sure they remain safe. Put your personal feelings aside...don't cry until after the mission is over." Alice said.

I looked out the window again, holding her hand. She interlocked our fingers together and smiled. I closed my eyes to get some rest while we drove to El Paso.

We only made a few stops going to El Paso. We stopped to go to the restroom and getting snacks to eat on while we made our way to El Paso. I looked at the scenery then noticed a star shining on the mountain.

"That star.." I said.

"That's El Paso's Star Logo. It holds a lot of significance and could be our clue to finding Jazlynn. While you were asleep, me and the other agents came to an agreement to check the building that was built next to the El Paso Star. That's where we are headed. We current only have 16 hours before Jazlynn is sold off. We must hurry." Alice said.

We made our way to the other agents. It took another 20 minutes to reach them and we got out of the car. Alice put on her Agent's Clothing then put on her hat. Wendy and the others got out of their cars. We walked to the others. Rhea put on her hat and carried her katana. Wendy put on her hat and equipped her gauntlets. Eliza licked her lips and put on her hat then readied her explosives and throwing knives.

"Ryder. Wear these. You're our Ace. You deserve the Ace Wear." Wendy said then handed me a black trench coat with white sleeves and a black kitsune mask.

I put on the trench coat and put the mask on my face. Rhea handed me a katana, Wendy also handed me a pair of gauntlets, Alice handed me a loaded handgun and Eliza handed me a few throwing knives.

"Eliza. We are going in loud." Wendy said.

Eliza nodded and took out a sticky bomb from her pocket then threw it at the entrance to the warehouse. The men guarding the door noticed the bomb and looked surprised. The bomb stuck to the door and Eliza pressed a button and the bomb detonated, blowing the doors open and killing the guards.

"What the hell..?" One of the bosses looked at the door and noticed us walking to the warehouse.

"The Agents...wait there's an extra one." The other boss said.

I looked inside and looked at all of the women and noticed Jazlynn tied up on the ground. I looked at the bosses and one of them was a female.

"We will kill them, and that way there will be no distractions for the Main Boss." The woman said. "Lloyd, Aydin handle White and Blue. I'll handle Black. Jaxen you handle Red."

"What about the Masked One?" Lloyd asked.

"Tony! You handle the masked one." The woman commanded.

Tony stood up from the woman and cracked his knuckles. "Who said you get to call the shots Lexi?"

"I'm vastly superior than you all...You should know this by now." Lexi said and walked forward.

Tony smirked and looked at me. I looked at Tony and equipped my gauntlets. He ran to me and went for multiple punched. I weaved his attacks then punched his stomach. He groaned and coughed a bit. He stumbled back and went for more attacks, but I blocked them all and sweep kicked him off his feet. I quickly got on the ground then grabbed his shirt. I punched his face multiple times then let him go. I stood up and took out my gun then was tackled by another guy. I grunted and stood up ground.

"A two against one?! How cowardly are you all?!" Wendy yelled then dodged all of Lexi's attacks.

Lexi jumped and kicked twice, but Wendy dodged then and hit her stomach with her palm. Lexi groaned and skidded back. She huffed and fixed her clothes. "Whatever allows us to kill you fuckers, we will take it."

I looked at the person, holding me back then my eyes widened. It was Matt. So many questions ran through my mind at this very moment and one of them was me wondering why was Matt with these creeps. I pushed him off me then put away my gun.

"You won't be stopping us. We are getting payback for what The CEO did to Trinity Valley. She shut down our fucking college! She told Mr. Webb to delete everything! We have nothing now! My career is over! You Paid Relationships fuckers have ruined our lives! How else were we supposed to respond? I have nothing. What am I to do without my career..?" Matt said and looked at me. He wasn't aware that I was behind the mask.

I looked at Matt then adjusted my mask and got in my battle stance. "We can't leave you alive. This will be your final resting place..." I said, not knowing how to feel, but I had to do my job.

Matt glared at me and yelled then ran to me. He went for a punch, but I caught his fist then tried to punch him. He caught my fist then kicked me away. I grunted and let him go, stumbling backwards. I dodged more of his attacks then latched onto his arm, twirling my body around his then got him on the ground in an arm lock. He groaned and Tony ran to me. I looked at Tony then let go of Matt and dodged his kick.

"This guy is pretty fucking good at fighting.." Tony said then helped Matt up.

"Yeah...he also has all the weapons as the other agents. It's safe to assume that he might be the Top Agent." Matt said and held his arm.

"If we rush him at the same time, we could get him and find out who's beneath the mask." Tony said.

"Yeah." Matt nodded.

They yelled and ran towards me. I dodged Tony's punch then grabbed his arm, flipping him over my shoulder. He groaned and arched his back. He coughed a bit then I picked him up and pushed him to Matt. Matt grunted as Tony crashed into him. I looked back and noticed Eliza fighting Jaxen.

"This is it~" Eliza giggled and dodged Jaxen's attack then stabbed his stomach with her throwing knife. He groaned and she shoved a grenade in his mouth. "Nighty night~"

He groaned loudly and panicked. She pulled the pin and pushed him down the mountain.

"Boom~" Eliza smiled and waved then the grenade exploded, blowing the guy's head off his shoulders.

Matt and Tony saw it and looked horrified. They looked at Eliza and then watched the other agents in fear.

Alice dodged each bullet from Lloyd's hand gun then grabbed his face and slammed him on the ground. "You lose." Alice said then shot him in the head, killing him.

Rhea deflected multiple throwing knives quickly then spun around and swung her sword, slashing Aydin's legs and caused him to fall. "Goodbye." Rhea said then sliced Aydin's head clean off his shoulders. She preformed the chiburi and got the blood off her katana.

Wendy parried every attack from Lexi then quickly struck each pressure point on her body. Lexi groaned in pain as her body went limp. "You're worthless.." Wendy said then grappled onto Lexi then snapped her neck with ease.

"These bitches are crazy..." Tony said. "We gotta go!"

Tony ran off. I looked at him then threw a throwing knife at him then luckily struck him on his neck, killing Tony. Matt looked surprised then tried to run off. I ran after him and grabbed him by his hair then pulled him to the ground and stepped on his chest. He looked at me with fear in his eyes.

"I don't want to die. Please...just spare me. I won't say anything about this.." Matt begged.

I pulled out my pistol and aimed it at his head then took off my mask. I looked at him sadly and my lip quivered.

"R-Ryder..? You're the Top Agent..?" Matt asked surprised.

"I'm sorry Matt...but these are the consequences. You mess with us, and you pay the price.." I said sadly and held back my tears.

"I can't believe you'd betray me and Jaiden for this! You left Trinity Valley for this life-"

"Fuck you! Don't put the fucking blame on me! You're helping a literal fucking criminal organization, Matt! All of this...could've been avoided. I reached out to you. You ignored my calls and texts...you blocked my fucking number!" I yelled and had tears coming from my eyes. "You could've stayed safe by doing literally ANYTHING ELSE!"

Alice watched me and noticed how much of an emotional wreck I was speaking to my old friend. She walked forward then Wendy stopped her.

"So this is how our friendship ends huh..?" Matt said.

I panted softly and tears were streaming down my cheeks. I looked at Matt and the rushing memories of our friendship came to my mind. "I suppose so..."

Matt closed his eyes and smiled. "You know. You've become something that no one would believe. You've become an agent. That's pretty cool and you've become a great fighter. Guess a nerd like you can make it big. If you ever get to talk to Jaiden again...tell him that I'm just seeing my family back in Australia."

I closed my eyes and put my mask back on. "I will."

I pulled the trigger. The gun fired and the bullet went through his skull. I looked at Matt and quietly cried then fell to my knees. Rhea looked at me sadly and felt really bad for me.

"He's gotta know the harsh reality of being an Agent. Anyone who associates themselves with these people becomes a target. Friend or not, they are all the same to us. An enemy." Wendy said then walked inside the warehouse. "If you want, you can check up on him. This being his very first mission, I can only imagine the emotional damage and stress he's suffering with right now."

Alice walked over to me and crouched down in front of me. She took off my mask and noticed me silently crying my eyes out. She hugged me and comforted me. She rubbed my hair and let me just cry. She didn't say a word.

An hour passed and I had finished crying. I was asleep in Alice's car and they sat outside talking to one another. Alice sat on her car and lit up a cigarette then lit Wendy's cigarette as well. They watched the last rescue helicopter fly off with Jazlynn inside of it. Wendy looked at me inside of Alice's car.

"He's sound asleep like a baby. It's cute." Wendy smiled. "You do have a mother's touch."

Alice blew out her smoke and sighed softly. "Well I am a mother of one daughter. She's turning six and this job has me fearing for her safety, but because I am in this line of work I do get some very good babysitters. I just hope she doesn't figure out about my job in the future. I can't let her get too curious or ask too many questions."

"How old are you again?" Wendy asked.

"I'm 23." Alice answered.

"Damn you had her at 17? Who's the dad?" Wendy asked.

"She doesn't have one. He left the moment he found out I was pregnant with his baby. Me being a dumb teen didn't think of the consequences of sex at the time, but I'm happy with my daughter. She's a joy to be with after a long day at work. She literally is my world." Alice smiled.

"You should let Ryder take care of her with you. He will be the closest thing to a father she gets.." Wendy said. "I would've done so."

"I guess." Alice said. "Any updates on Noel?"

"She just reported to The Boss and everything is going according to plan. Her father had agreed to help us by sending us more advanced weaponry and technology. It's nice having her close to us...not only that but she's one of the Agents from the Japan Branch so she's got some pretty high tech shit." Wendy said.

"Kinda feel bad that she has to pose as a guy and lie to Eli, but it's a perfect disguise because of her build. She can go to college and work at the same time. Kinda like Ryder except she's trained since she's The Boss's niece." Alice said. "She's blended in so perfectly and plays the role so well I forget she's even a woman at times."

"Me too.." Wendy chuckled lightly then heard a honk behind them.

Rebecca got out of the car and walked to Alice and Wendy. "Where's my little love bug?"

"He's in my car. It'll be a while before The Boss comes with the news. That's why I called you. He's been through a lot. He needs you more than anything." Alice said.

Rebecca opened the car door on my side then pulled me out of the car gently. She wrapped my arm around her neck. "Thank you for keeping him safe."

Alice nodded and smiled. Rebecca brought me to her car then put me on the passenger side then buckled me in. She looked at me with a bittersweet smile then kissed my cheek. She got in on the driver's side then drove off back to our home.
