"That was rather reckless of you." A voice echoed throughout the small single prison, "You could've died due to blood loss, no?"
"Are you here just to mock me?" Lux asked, as she was sitting on the hard prison bed. The little light reflected her pale face as she looked at the darkness ahead, "Who are you?"
"Well, who I am doesn't matter." The voice sounded rather cheeky while talking as it sounded like it was coming from everywhere, "I was just walking past, minding my own business. When at that moment, I could feel this. Intense rage from you,"
"Point?" She cut them off.
"Point is, I hate to see that rage just disappear with the passage of time." Footsteps echoed, and the voice sounded nearer, "I want to help you direct that rage." The little light shone the figure, who had a big grin on his face.
"Why me?" She was skeptical of his true intentions.
"I need an ally, and I can sense that you could very well be a powerful one." He leaned forward against the cell, "Don't you feel angry towards those that think you were weak, that you needed to be tamed? Don't you feel the rage boiling when you realised the truth?"
"You are sounding like a demon tempting me to do evil." Lux raised an eyebrow, "And how ain't you caught?"
"I'm shall neither confirm nor deny I'm a demon," He chuckled, he pushed himself away from the cell,"As for your question," He walked inside like it's nothing, "My power is illusion."
The light revealed Writ standing there.
"Both of us have a common goal, and it would suck to see you mistaken the goal." He shrugged as he started slowly strolling around the cell.
"What goal? Revenge?" Lux asked as she leaned against the wall.
"So, do you want to be my ally?" He stopped in front of her and stuck out his hand.
She hesitated. Taking a deep breath and closing her eyes, she thought about it.
He patiently waited, his hand still out.
She raised her hand and slapped it away. "I don't make deals with creeps."
"Eesh, that hurts." He kept his hand in his pocket, "But understandable." He shrugged his shoulders, "The deal is always open, call my name when you change your mind."
Lux didn't ask for his name and just raised her eyebrow again.
"Tough customer," He slowly stepped out of the cell, "Name's (error)!"
Her eyes twitched, 'Not a demon. That's a fucking demon name.' She looked out at the cell, 'Did I almost make a contract with a demon?'
Writ slowly walked out of the prison, no one saw him as he strolled out.
'She can see me, now that's interesting.' He thought, 'Have she met a demon before?' He looked at the sun rising up in the sky, "A new day." Someone walked through him like he was air, as he sighed, "I'm no different than an illusion after all."
Walking along the street, Writ's body suddenly shook.
"Is winter soon?" He felt a tingle up his spine, he looked up at the sun, "It's still morning though."
…
Looking at the moon hanging ever so high, Sanosuke just laid on the ground without moving.
He could feel pain whenever he moved.
"Ain't you afraid your ally will die from internal injuries?" He raised his voice as much ss possible, as his eyes glanced at Elda who was sitting on a tree branch while staring at the moon.
"I will find a monster that will give you recovery attributes!" She replied, "You won't die!".
'The hell.' He thought, as he focused on the moon standing by itself in the starless night.
Elda hopped down and sat beside him, "Wanna hear a story?"
"Story about?" He can't do anything other than listen, so he didn't mind.
"The difference between striking a deal between a demon and a angel." She simply narrated, "It's said that a deal made between any of these two beings can't be broken. If broken by either party, they will suffer a severe punishment.
The deal is usually made by some kind of words ritual. But more powerful demons and angels can simply ask, make a handshake, and bam. Deal sealed.
So the story is about this deal made between a human and a demon. The deal was unknown, but the human was cunning and found a loophole in the deal. Ironic right? The demon that's known to be the most cunning, was outsmarted by the human.
In rage, the demon who wanted to kill the human was bound back by the deal. So the demon swore that if they ever see the human face again, they will kill the human.
The demon was still angry, and thus destroyed the human hard work completely. But the human survived what was destroyed, and is planning to rebuild."
"Are you the demon?" Sanosuke asked, looking at Elda who was watching the moon.
"There's another story, about a deal between a human and an angel." She ignored Sanosuke's question, "Short and simple, the deal was for the angel to do one of the human wishes.
The naive angel sealed the deal without asking what was the wish, because they thought it was exciting to make a deal with a human.
Guess what's the human wish?" She chuckled, "It wad to kill the human. That was the deal. However, an angel can't kill, otherwise they lose their powers. Yet, a deal was a deal.
Thus the angel killed the human and lost their powers. Ironically the angel still went back home when the sun set." She stopped talking, causing Sanosuke to look back at her.
"What happens next?" He asked eagerly, but Elda just shrugged.
"Who knows, the storyteller just stopped the tale." She slowly stood up, "Anyways, I shall go find a monster that will give you a healing attribute."
"Wait you were serious about that?" Sanosuke wanted to sat up, but he felt sharp pain throughout his body.
"Yep! I will be back before you die of starvation. Hopefully." She shrugged, as she leaped off.
She took out the map from her pocket and stopped walking, looking down at it.
"There aren't any monsters with healing attributes in this place." She pondered, "Losing powers doesn't mean losing its attributes right?.."
