"This is suspicious…" Sanosuke looked at the cup of plain water in his hand, "How do you carry money on you?" He turned and stared at Elda, who was drinking fruit juice.
She removed the straw from her mouth and replied, "I remember my bank account number, duh."
Sanosuke looked at the machine that she ordered from, "Why does such a town has one?"
"It's common technology, what do you mean…?" She stared at Sanosuke as he stared back.
"Drink store!" The door busted open, with River at the front, "Hey, there isn't many people here."
The other students peeked over his shoulder.
"Anyone have money?" Dealla looked at everyone as they walked inside.
"Why do you make such a commotion.." Kinsei covered his face, "And I have money.."
"Shouldn't the teachers be paying?" Dealla mumbled out loud.
"They are busy drying themselves.." River shrugged, "They enjoy playing in the rain at such a age."
Ding
A crisp sound of the bell rang in his head as Reginald walked past a table.
The three of them clearly heard it, as Reginald turned his head to look at the two, and the two glanced at him.
"Hey, Reg your turn, Kinsei paying~." River pulled Reginald over as he focused back on walking, "You too!" He grabbed Otta's arm.
'Hm?' Elda's eyes visibly narrowed when she saw Otta, and Sanosuke noticed.
He whispered to her ear, "Did she kill someone before?"
She closed her eyes, "No," That one word sounded full of sorrow, "She would never."
"Isn't that a great idea?" River asked, "This way, we can try each other drinks and know what we like." As they are waiting for their drinks at the pick up area.
"I'm not sharing my drink." Kinsei and Otta said in unison.
"Three drinks shared around." He looked at Reginald and Dealla. They didn't mind.
When everyone got their drinks, they left the store.
Elda stirred her drink, "Sanosuke," He looked at her, feeling the end of his hair standing up, "Promise me, you will never summon a demon nor angel even if you know how to."
"Even angel?" He asked, feeling surprised.
"Even an angel." She continued sipping her drink, despite having a thousand of question in his mind, Sanosuke just silently drink his water, "Sleep well tonight kid," She finished her drink, "I will see you back at the room." She stood up and left.
"Reg, your drink is really something else.." River passed back the paper cup to Reginald.
"How you so comfortable calling people by their nickname already?" He took the cup, "We barely know each other for a day."
"Doesn't it feel like we've been pals for a long time though?" River questioned as he took a sip of his drink, "Compared the rest, I trust you more. Even if we know each other for a day." He grinned.
Reginald also took a sip of his drink, pondering about what River said.
"I guess so," He agreed, "I can joke around with you without feeling awkward like the rest." He mumbled with a straw in his mouth.
"Hey! Why you two walking so slowly?" Kinsei shouted from the front, cupping his mouth, "Move faster slow poke!"
This town looked similar to their previous ones, except they won't have motels for travellers.
They reached the only motel available and saw the van parked there too.
The motel has three levels and is quite big. There's many other vehicles parked, too.
"What's our room number?" River asked when the dual caught up to the group.
"Mr Dav mentioned he will pick us up," Kinsei smirked, "Unless he's too busy?" Behind Kinsei, a figure loomed over with glowing red eyes.
"Busy with that?" Kinsei jumped and turned around, facing Dav's death stare.
"Busy drying hair of course!" His whole body was shaking while River and Dealla were holding back their laughter.
"Good." He turned around, "You three boys will share a room, while Otta will stay with Sezia," He started walking inside, "And Dealla will stay with Kate."
Everyone followed him to the third level, "Otta your room is 5, Dealla is 6. The boys room is 4. My room is 7 so if you need anything, you know which room to call." He explained as he stopped in his tracks, "Don't you boys set anything on fire or I will set you on fire." He glared at the three.
"Yes sir!" The three boys said in unison, their backs straightened as they saluted him.
"Good. Dismissed." He entered his room, as everyone else also went to their own room.
When the door closed, River had a smirk on his face.
"Let's set this place on fire!" His eyes lit up at that thought, as Reginald just knocked him out.
He turned and stared at Kinsei, who had his arm raised in surrender.
"Let's explore?" He carefully asked, as Reginald gave a thumbs up. He wiped away his sweat and looked at River, who was still on the floor.
"He's faking it." Reginald used his feet to nudge River a little, "Get up well you can, or the next sound you will hear isn't something pleasant."
River slowly used his hand and rubbed his head as he slowly got up, "Ah ah? What happened? Where am I? Who am I?"
"Let's go find a leash. Who knows where he will wander." Reginald said while looking at Kinsei.
"I approve of thy lord idea!" He nodded, giving a thumbs up.
"Hey hey! I remember where we are!" River placed his hand on his waist, "We are in the motel! And my Name's River!"
"We should get Otta to study this weird creature my lord." Kinsei pinched his chin and said, as Reginald nodded.
"I'm willing to get studied by Otta!" River beamed, as the two had a disgusted look of their face.
"A missight on my part, my lord, let's keep him away from Lady Otta." He said, as Reginald started chuckling, which caused Kinsei to start chuckling too.
Their chuckling turned to laughing, with River joining in too.
When Otta entered the room, she saw Sezia and another lady in the room.
Sezia sat on the bed with a towel on her head, and the lady was sitting on a chair opposite of her.
Sezia is wearing a simple black shirt with a black jacket and sweatpants.
While the lady was the same one she saw at the store, Elda.
"Otta!" Sezia raised her arm, "Glad you come!"
"I'm staying here, where else am I suppose to go?" She asked as she walked over to her bed and put down her bag.
"Can I borrow your laptop for a moment?" Sezia clasped her hand and asked, "Pleassee?"
"Sure." Otta took out her laptop and handed it to her.
Sezia opened it and logged in to her own account, "Otta, you've said that if you are given the blueprint, you can recreate what's on them?"
Otta nodded, "But won't it be against policy to show a stranger it?"
"Otta, do you want to go to Duerrin?" Sezia asked a different question, as she slowly glanced at her.
Otta firmly shook her head, "I feel like I shouldn't go there."
Elda slowly stood up, "Sometimes the decision you feel is right, is only stopping you from progressing." She slowly left the room, "Cya kids."
"Is she older than you?" Otta asked, as Seiza shrugged.
"I only know. She most definitely isn't a human
