For those who have their doubts about why the Protagonist 'starts' in Undertale, the answer is extremely simple. Undertale is the only 'Multiverse' - so to speak - that the Protagonist can be a child, without needing the help of plot armor to survive.
Undertale is obviously an extremely dangerous world no matter how simple, but if a child like Frisk managed to survive in it with the help of determination, I have no doubt that someone like the protagonist could survive with the help of a demon.
And first of all, yes. This Undertale is an AU, an alternate universe. Which AU? soon you will know the answer (in the next chapter).

Ruins' exit
It would be a lie to say that it was boring going through the ruins. The countless monsters and their strange attacks, the new sense of walking through the unknown, and even the anticipation of events that would surprise you. All this was absolutely incredible for Kumagawa.
Every single little thing that happened in the Ruins was a new sense of happiness in Kumagawa's heart, but unfortunately it wasn't all perfect. There was one problem he couldn't solve, no matter what he did.
The problem was extremely simple, but strange. He was winning.
He didn't just want to win and declare himself the victor who wiped out an entire race by just winning, let alone being a kind of hero or protagonist who never loses.
Unlike other children and teenagers, Kumagawa longed for the sense of defeat. He wanted to be defeated by strong people who hated him, or even enjoyed killing and fighting.
And this was something that he could not get in the ruins, throughout his time in the ruins some silly things happened that ended up making him stronger, among them: the increase of his LV to a new levels.
LV: 8 - 13/60
After his LV reached level 5, he realized that as the LV increased stronger he became. It was obviously a good feeling, but not the ideal one.
He wanted to be strong, but not an absolute monster who would defeat everything he encountered along the way, and to see that the LV he sought so much would eventually turn him into that, desperation filled him.
It is true that a child his age should not be able to feel such despair, especially for such a silly reason...but what can be done? This is a Kumagawa.
...
Flashback
At the time the boy was sitting on the floor facing a pile of dust slightly larger than normal. The dust was located in front of a door fully purple with some strange symbols, apparently the exits from the ruins.
On the side of the door and throughout the room where such a door was located, there were several nails 2 to 3 meters long, all of them were piercing the walls of the place and possessed some white fur remnants.
That pile belonged to the ancient guardian of the ruins, Toriel. She had found him during his little time in the ruins and took him to his home, giving him food and even shelter, this was somewhat appreciated by Kumagawa, but...it was not something he really wanted.
The feeling of being so well cared for and even so loved made him nauseous in a way, he had not been 'made' to receive so much love, even more from a 'plus'.
A 'minus' like him could not accept the affection and love of someone so 'special' like that.
( A/N: Yes, I know that in the original work Kumagawa called himself 'Minus' and Medaka and the others 'Plus', I'm not absolutely sure about the reasons but I can have a reasonable idea that it was because of their powers.
Anyway, here in this work there is a slight change. Kumagawa calls himself 'Minus' because he has a contract with a Devil, and the others do not. Everyone who has contracts with Demons (or is in any way related to demons) will be considered 'Minus' by Kumagawa.
The reason for this line of thought will soon be explained, but before I solve this 'mystery' I am finishing working on another already raised one, so please try to wait until there. )
== ( New discovery of Kumagawa, and an important act. ) ==
Just the fact that he received so many positive things from Toriel already made him mad with rage, but all this escalated in an absurd way when the Mother Goat decided to try to stop him from leaving the ruins, to stop him from further exploring this 'new world' that he was in.
This simple gesture enraged Kumagawa completely, and for the first time in his life he made a face of pure Rage.
Kumagawa's spiral eyes became completely opaque, leaving only a totally dark blue that seemed to devour anything that entered his vision, accompanied by a somewhat frightening frown.
By the time Toriel saw the face of 'her child', she had been frightened in a way, she could never imagine that the child she loved so much - as all the others who fell underground - could make such a frightening face.
Thinking her child had misunderstood her, she opened her mouth to talk about the full reason she was forbidding him to leave, but before she could form a word, Kumagawa was already in front of her.
Raising his LV to 5 left him almost twice as strong as he was before, and this in some ways did not please Kumagawa as it left the defeat even more distant, but for an instant...
He appreciated that now with this strength he could end the person in front of him.
It was an uncontrolled rage and virtually without any real reason, but nothing can be done about it, not when the bearer of such anger is Kumagawa.
The world flashed black and white, indicating that a battle had begun.

( Fight + Thoughts )
( I don't know how to write a decent fighting scenario, I'm still learning. So in case it's bad I'm sorry.
I'm accepting some advice.)
Unsuccessful for a single second, Kumagawa threw himself at Toriel using all his 'new strength' on his legs, coming in front of her in a matter of moments. As he got close enough, the boy punched the mother goat in the stomach causing her to spit out a small amount of blood.
Toriel - 400/440
A single punch with force Ota was enough to get 40 of HP, that was more than enough for him.
Two giant hands appeared around Kumagawa and moved vertically, leaving fireballs floating where they passed. When they finished moving the room was almost completely filled with fireballs.
And as soon as his hands were gone, all the fireballs went towards Kumagawa at high speed, surprising him in some ways as it was the first time he dealt with attacks at such a speed.
Kumagawa managed to dodge the first 6 fireballs, but the next ones hit him hard, causing him to fly away and hit his back against a wall with force, spitting blood.
HP: 47/60
Minor burns were on Kumagawa's body after this attack, causing him to feel a considerable amount of pain.
...
The boy advanced toward the mother goat with a huge smile on his face, along with a small amount of blush in such.
Don't get me wrong, he wasn't blushing because of the mother, he was blushing because of her blows. These blows were more than enough to make him fear for his short life and at the same time make him understand that there are still many people out there who should be able to hurt him.
This simple thought drove Kumagawa to madness, and he advanced toward the mother goat without regard for his injuries or the pain he felt.
...
Midway the boy was forced to dodge some fireballs here and there, causing Toriel to get further and further away from the boy as he dodged the fireballs, delaying his arrival to the woman.
For Toriel's misfortune she could not expect it to last forever, and after dodging 7 more fireballs, he got close to her.
Getting close to her the boy closed his hands and began to punch the mother goat with the maximum strength and speed he had, while he had a smile a little wrong on his face, smile in which did not match the boy's face at all.
( A/N: I know I will possibly traumatize some people's lives, but imagine the 'crazy' smile of 'Isaac Fooster' on the cute little Kumagawa, that's how he's like right now. Well, sorry... )
Each punch delivered by the boy was enough to take 10 of HP from the mother goat.
Toriel: 390/440
Toriel: 380/440
Toriel: 370/440
...
Toriel: 320/440
...
Toriel: 290/440
Contrary to expectations, Toriel did not seem surprised or even successful in attacking the Kid. It was the total opposite...she had a smile on her face and stared at him with a little intention of killing.
This left the boy confused in a way, but he quickly realized what it was when a window appeared in front of him.
* Corruption successfully activated.
* 'Toriel' was placed under 'corruption'. His ideals are being slowly destroyed.
This brought a smile to Kumagawa's face, apparently his Ability - which he does not know how he did - corrupted a person's ideals as he caused harm to them. And he couldn't ask for anything better.
With this type of Skill he could even fight against incredibly strong but extremely 'righteous' opponents, such as the annoying Manga characters he began reading before meeting the 'Darkness Devil'.
Fortunately Toriel did not break the boy's expectations and strongly attacked him creating dozens of fireballs, one near the other.
This type of attack completely illuminated the dark room they were in, and brought a big smile to Kumagawa's face, along with a lot of sweat.
With a simple wave of hand all the fireballs descended toward Kumagawa, as if it were rain.
This type of attack was almost impossible to dodge, and certainly would not be any different with Kumagawa. The boy ran towards Toriel trying to use her as a kind of shield, but the fireballs were faster than him.
Most of the fireballs hit Kumagawa's body, leaving him completely damaged.
...
When the rain of fire was over, the boy was lying on the ground completely charred, and in front of him was Toriel, with a sad face of dread.
HP: 0/60
*Soul breaks*
End.
I am here in the author’s final notes to explain why the chapter appears 'short' and does not have much content.
I split the chapter in two, cut it in half. It was a giant before (almost three times the size of the previous chapters) and was being difficult to put everything in a decent way and still maintain 'quality'.
I am completely editing the other part of the chapter and will post it tomorrow modified and in a way, full of content.
I was somewhat disappointed with this chapter because it did not have much content and more 'words' and 'explanations' than it should, or much less some real action or emotion. So if I, the author, felt like this, I’m sure you readers must have felt something similar, if not identical.
So I’m making you a promise: Tomorrow the next chapter will have the highest quality that I can currently do, and it will have a lot of content to make up for this chapter.
I’ll see you next time.
