a date to cry for

6:00 p.m.

Fumiko is in a park waiting for Arturo. she has been waiting for five minutes. Arturo arrives dressed in an elegant suit. Arturo gives a bouquet of flowers to Fumiko. she is wearing a simple pink dress that makes her look like an angel.

"my, my heart stops working after seen a goddess."

said Arturo being honest with what he thinks.

they stay in the park for some time talking about different things. when the time is right they go to a movie theater. Arturo wanted to see a comedic movie and Fumiko wanted to see a horror movie. they ended watching the horror movie.

inside of the movie theater Arturo was a bit nervous. this was his second time in a date with her. there were words that he wanted to say but then he didn't thought it was the right time. the movie was a supernatural horror movie about some guys in a haunted house.

Arturo only likes two type of movies. he likes romance movies based in the books he reads (Arturo loves to read those books too much because he usually pictures himself and Fumiko as the main characters) and he also loves funny movies (he is usually angry but when he watches funny movies his mood changes.)

"are you liking the movie?"

asked Fumiko thinking that maybe he is uncomfortable.

Fumiko loves to watch all kinds of movies but her favorite type of movies are action movies in which the Hero is a man with no powers, because those movies help her to have faith on herself as a cop. Supernatural Horror movies because Fumiko loves to believe that ghost are real and all the supernatural had always been mysterious and interesting thing in which she believes. also she loves Science Fiction for the theory of the Aliens and all that stuff.

Fumiko saw ten years ago the first movie in the franchise (the movie they are watching is the final installment in a franchise of six movies) Fumiko has seen every movie in the franchise and she loves most of the movies (she hates the fourth one.) Fumiko is afraid that Arturo may not understand the movie because he didn't saw the previous movies in the franchise.

"I can't believe this movie is so good even when is a Horror movie from a big franchise. I haven't seen the other ones but I have heard from Daisuke about the franchise. he even told me that the fourth one was trash."

whispers Arturo with absolute honesty.

there is a sex scene in the movie and Fumiko turns to her right to see Arturo's face. she didn't notice before but now she is focus on his face. his tick eyebrows and a white scar in the end of his left eyebrow. his eyes are a caramel / honey brown color. his thin eyelashes. his thin nose. his lips. his skin is in a light bright brown tone. he has some facial hair in his chin, is probably that he shaves a lot to keep his face clean (when they were kids Fumiko told him once that she didn't wanted to have a hairy boyfriend.)

Arturo speaks and she notices that his voice is really manly and seductive. Fumiko looks back to the screen. the sex scene just ended and now a ghost is about to kill the couple that was having sex. Fumiko blushes as she thinks that a handsome guy like him is interested in her and she didn't notice before that he isn't bad looking.

Fumiko keeps watching the movie with a small smile. Arturo looks at her for a moment. his heart is beating fast. he whispers on her ear letting her know that he is going to the bathroom and he asks her to tell him if something important happens while he is away. Arturo leaves and he is in his way to the bathroom. he receives a call from Daisuke.

Arturo finds the bathroom and he is talking with Daisuke at the same time that he piss. Daisuke called him to tell him that Arristide is preparing everything for Blind Thief's funeral and he wants them to be in the funeral.

"I can't believe that the guy is dead. I mean his personality was garbage but he was one of us. every time I hear of a Villain dying I am remind of our mortality and that scares me, scares me the idea of losing my friends some day and being left alone."

Daisuke told him that he has nothing to worry about as he explained that a guy like Arturo doesn't have many friends so he can't lose many friends. Daisuke told him that people die when they have to die so he can't be worry about something that is meant to happen sooner or later.

Arturo ends the call. he washes his hands and he goes back to watch the movie. he sits next to Fumiko. he asks her if something interesting happened. she tells him that the class clown had a fight with the final boy of the previous movie. Arturo keeps watching the movie. he laughs thinking that for the first time in many years he is dedicating his time to himself and nothing else.

Fumiko is eating popcorn. she smiles when she sees a kill scene in the movie. Arturo is drinking a soda. he looks at her for a moment. he sees the emotion on her face. he calls her by her full name. Fumiko looks at him and he kisses her in the cheek.

"sorry I wanted to kiss your lips but then I thought that you might not like it if I kiss you in our second date so I am going to wait to our fifth date."

said Arturo in a seductive tone of voice.

Fumiko looks at the movie and she is nervously trying to enjoy the movie. Arturo looks at the screen also feeling nervous. Arturo wanted to taste the flavor of her lips but he didn't wanted for her to feel uncomfortable with him. he loves her a lot, so much that he even asks himself if he can ever love or like anything that isn't her.

"why do you love me so much?"

Fumiko asked while watching the movie.

Arturo didn't know how to answer that question. the truth is that when they were kids there were many things that he loved about her and for many years it was the idea of finding her and making her his wife that kept him alive and sane. but now she is different from when she was a kid. she has change so much not only her body, but also her personality has change.

Arturo is thinking in what to say because he doesn't have the answer to that question. he has loved her for so long that it even feels wrong the idea of not loving her or to love someone else. what am I meant to say? is one of the many questions that he asked himself as he thinks in the right answer.

"I don't know why or how. the only thing that I know is that every time that I am close to you I find a reason to smile. I find a reason to believe that there is good in the world. every time I am with you I feel something telling me that you are my other half. without you I feel empty and I feel like I don't belong anywhere, but those feelings are gone once I am again at your side."

Fumiko is thinking about his answer. she looks at his face for a moment like trying to find a clue on the meaning of his words. then she looks back at the movie. she didn't say any word as she watches the movie. Arturo whispers on her ear trying to understand why she seems so angry with his answer.

Fumiko is trying to ignore him at the moment. she was expecting something else. Arturo keeps trying to get her attention until he gives up thinking that if he keeps doing that any further he is going to make feel uncomfortable other people who are in there to see the movie. Arturo stands up and leaves.

for the rest of the movie Fumiko was watching the movie with joy and guilt. the movie was too good to not finish watching it, but she felt guilt thinking that maybe she forced Arturo to leave. the movie ends with a satisfactory end to be the final movie in a franchise.

Fumiko leaves the movie theater. she looks at Arturo waiting for her with a huge teddy bear and a bouquet of flowers. Fumiko asks him to forgive her for her reaction. he asks her if he can know what was the reason for her anger.

"sorry, is just that when you said all of those things I didn't felt like you loved me for me. but you loved me for you. let me explain better. I don't feel like you think I am special for my qualities but for the way you feel when you are with me.... I don't think that is real love."

Arturo didn't know how to feel about those words. he didn't believe in that. he truly loved her but he couldn't find the right words or reason to explain why is that he loves her so much. there must be a simple and practical explanation to the emotions of the human being jet there is no dictionary for such things.

Fumiko felt bad for saying that to a guy who is honest about his feelings, but she has doubts about him being truly and absolutely honest. Fumiko hugs him as a way to apologize to him. Arturo can't breath properly thinking that he finally has on his arms the girl he loves just like on his dreams.

"you are not doing anything inappropriate, right kids?"

said Chiko Suzuki who was at their side with a smile feeling proud of Arturo.

"who the Fuuuucckkk..... sorry dad... daddy."

Fumiko answered at first feeling annoyed without recognizing the voice of her own father until she turn around to see her dad with an angry face.

Fumiko was trying to explain herself to her dad. Arturo says hello to him and he asks him for the days in which he wasn't in the city. Chiko thanks Arturo for being good to his daughter and then he congratulates him for his birthday. he asks him to forgive that he wasn't able to be in there.

"boy you better not learn anything bad from this disrespectful child. and you better wash your mouth with soap or I will do it for you. who she thinks she is to talk to her old man like that?"

said Chiko feeling outraged for those words of disrespect.

Fumiko keeps trying to be forgiven only to fail. every word that she says only adds fuel to the fire. Chiko yields at her. Arturo asks Chiko to accompanied them on their date. Chiko accepts and the three of them go to a restaurant to eat like a family.

in the restaurant they talk about their childhood. Chiko was at first nervous to think that it was probably that Arturo was walking again on the wrong path. Chiko was glad to see some light in the eyes of the child that he left walk on darkness alone. he wants to ask to Arturo for forgiveness for everything that happened to him and his family.

Fumiko remembers that Arturo had a brother and that his birthday is supposed to be in two months. Fumiko with a huge smile asks for his older brother. that smile is easily erased when her dad screams at her. she sees an empty gaze on Arturo and she sees a lot of pain hidden behind his eyes.

"he, he.... he is gone... Jose and mom are gone. my dad, he is on jail for some crimes that he commit..... after my brother and my mom died he couldn't handle the pain and he massacred some bad people. since then I don't talk about my family..... I, I am sorry, but I don't like to talk about them."

said Arturo trying to control his anger and pain.

Fumiko didn't know. she haven't seen him in many years so she thought that he just left with his parents to some small town in which his parents were at the moment with his older brother. she never thought in all the pain that he has been hiding for a long time. she then remembered that she saw years ago a coverage about Bloodstain's death at the hands of Heroes. she looked at Arturo feeling heartbroken.

"he was your brother. the original Bloodstain was your brother? that is why you are younger than him and your power seems different. you were using the identity of your brother? oh my god I didn't know."

those words left Fumiko's mouth without thinking much on her words.

Arturo tries to contain his pain and sorrow when he hears those words. many tears are leaving his eyes and falling on the table. even when Arturo is crying he doesn't show any emotion on his face. he is either trying really hard to contain his pain or he doesn't know that he is crying. Fumiko stands up and she walks towards him to hug him.

Arturo closes his eyes and he holds her feeling like if he was standing in a cloud and feeling like letting go would be equal to falling. he opens his eyes to see Chiko with both thumbs up. Arturo is happy to know that Chiko approves of him.

later they kept eating and Fumiko went to the bathroom for a moment. Chiko was left alone with Arturo. this was the opportunity for which he was waiting.

"I found your father. I had been trying to form a special group to break him out of prison. I know that is a crime but I am no longer a Hero nor was your father a criminal in the first place. your father was one of the original Vigilantes of the new generation or V.N.G. they were Vigilantes who did the work better than Heroes or Cops. it didn't matter if the criminal was a Politician or a Mafioso he was meant to end in jail or underground. what your father did in that bar wasn't a crime but righteous justice."

whispered Chiko on Arturo's ear.

Fumiko comes back from the bathroom. she says goodbye to her dad and she continues with her date with Arturo. they go to some places until it gets dark. Fumiko told Arturo that she wanted to go to her home and Arturo offered himself to accompanied her. in their way they look at the bright moon.

"thanks for today, it was a fun date."

said Fumiko before entering on her home.

Arturo stayed in front of the door of her house for four minutes and then he left. he couldn't believe that she thank him. he told to himself that today was a great day as he was walking on the direction of his house.
