A Gift

The air whistled with silence. It had been a few hours later, she felt alone.

"Why am I stuck in such a beautiful place without anyone?" She cried out to the universe, wishing for someone to hear her.

She wandered around, as her wings stood out.

Her wings hadn't gone away, they were spread out.

"And why leave me with wings? You think this is a joke?" She scoffed.

She figured there was more of a reason she was thrown in a place like this, or maybe she had died.

She started to wander through the forest, seeking other creatures and humans.

Then she spotted something farther in the distance and her eyes glimmered in beauty.

"It can't be real." She glimpsed from afar in awe.

She started to run closer toward what caught her eye.

As she got closer toward it, she beamed with joy.

She slowly walked into the pond, "who cares if I got clothes, this is probably a dream." She muttered to herself.

The water glistened with an eye-catching splash of sky blue, when you touched the water it'd sparkle in beauty.

As she marched into the water, she noticed how fast the tide got deeper.

It was like walking in water, but underwater.

She flinched quickly, she felt something tap her feet.

"Ah! Don't eat me!" She squeaked, innocently.

She could almost hear giggles and laughs in the water, she tilted her head in confusion.

"It can understand me?" She thought with curiosity.

She felt a rush of water pressure grab her legs, she flinched to get out of it's hold.

"What the hell is wrong with this water? Does it not like me?" She growled while hitting the water.

It suddenly stopped and she could almost feel it wandering away, she felt alone without it there.

"Hey! Come back!" She screeched, as she started to swim in the water.

This pond wasn't huge, it was probably three times the size of an inground pool but it got deeper, and she hadn't noticed that much.

She suddenly stopped and looked down at the water while floating around in the water. She could see what it looked like under the water, from above the water pretty clearly.

Her mouth opened in shock, "so pretty." She smiled, then noticed there was a lot of beautiful unique fish in the water.

One of the fish caught her eye, it was like it was swiftly spinning around and chatting with other fish.

It was an inky fish with glowing wings, it had jet-black gills and it had opposed eye colors.

She gasped, "So cool!" She exclaimed, wanting to swim under the water to explore.

She suddenly dived in the water, exploring the pond.

She went face-first into the water, wandering the underwater areas. She went by many unusual fish, as she got deeper she spotted many abnormal things.

She suddenly felt as if a swift splash hit her, she went tumbling one way, startling a variety of fish.

Her head bashed coral, her eyes stuttered to stay awake.

All she remembered was seeing a creature staring at her, face-first.

Her eyes gently shut, feeling unsure of the surroundings.

As she fell into a slumber, she felt as if an eminence was carrying her.

She muttered quietly, "where are we going..?" she stuttered upon her tongue.

She could sense their body-movement flinch once she spoke.

All of a sudden, the body rapidly discharged her from their arms.

She twitched, feeling abandoned.

"Just keep your head above."
