You broke me

"Triplets?" Chris shouted as he drove into the hospital parking lot.

He was almost at the hospital when he got a call from doctor Christina. The moment he answered, she told him the news.

"Yes, Mr. Ash. Miya is pregnant with triplets for your friend Jackson." Christina's voice echoed through the phone speaker.

"That's good!" Chris said with excitement.

"Mr. Ash, not to be disrespectful, but I don't think this situation is good. Miya is happy about this news because she believes that the kids belong to her husband. Yet I am deceiving her."

"Then what should we do? Tell her the truth and have her abort the kids or go through with your original plan? However, these two plans end with these children dying, and that's not what we want. Right, Doc?"

"Yes, Mr. Ash."

"Okay! Since we are on the same page. I will be awaiting more updates from you."

"All right."

"Goodbye, Doc."

"Bye, Mr. Ash."

Once their call ended, Chris got out of his car and headed inside the hospital.

"What is that dude doing here?" Lucas said when he spotted Chris entering the building.

"Hey, man! Welcome back home." Steven said after Chris entered the intensive care lobby.

"Thanks, Steve," Chris stated, then approached the others and greeted them.

"Where's Jennie?" He asked Rose after hugging her.

"Oh, she's with Jackson," Rose answered.

"That's good. I will wait for Jennie to come out. Then I will go in and see him."

"That's all right."

After his conversation with Rose, Chris was about to sit down when his eyes caught a glance of a familiar face.

He immediately stood up and raced out the door. Once he caught up with the person, he tapped her on the shoulder.

"Miya!" Chris uttered with a smile.

"Chris?" Miya said in shock after she had turned around and saw him standing behind her.

"What are you doing here?" He asked her, pretending as though he did not already have the answer to his question.

"I came to do my checkup and ultrasound. Surprise! I am having triplets."

"What? That is amazing!"

"I don't know. I hope that you are right."

Jennie has been sitting in the same position for a while as she stared at her husband.

Suddenly her phone began to ring. She then stared down and gazed at its screen.

The name that appeared on the screen almost made her lose her mind. She tried shutting the phone off, but her hand was shaking too much for her to press the off button properly.

"Are you not going to answer it? I am sure Leon and the baby missed you." Jackson asked.

He stopped staring at the wall and turned his focus on his wife. At that instant, Jennie felt like her heart was going to stop beating.

"Jackson, you are talking." She said as she tried to sound excited, but the tremble in her voice could not permit her.

"Get out," Jackson mumbled to her.

"Babe, let's talk about this, okay?" Jennie cried.

"'I said get out." He softly stated.

Jennie found herself breaking down in tears. She could not stop herself, and the tears kept flowing.

"I... I... sorr..." Jennie tried to speak, but the words got choked back with her cry.

"Get out of here!" Jackson screamed.

Jennie backed away when she noticed the rage and brokenness in her husband's eyes.

"Jackson?" Rose said as she stood up from the bench.

Julie, Steven, Mr., and Mrs. Harper's attention also got drawn when the screams came from inside the room.

"Get out, Jennie!" Jackson yelled.

Once Steven heard that voice for the second time, he did not hesitate to rush into the room, and the others were right behind him.

"I think something is going on inside the intensive care unit," Miya said when she heard the screams.

"I think so too. Do you want to tag along?" Chris asked.

"Sure."

The moment Chris and Miya entered the room, things had escalated, and everyone seemed confused.

"Get out!" Jackson kept yelling repeatedly.

"Okay, buddy. You need to calm down. What you are doing now is not suitable for your health. The doctor said you are still unstable, and any strain on your body will cause severe danger to your health." Steven explained as he tried to get Jackson to quiet down.

"Tell her to leave. She doesn't have the right to be here. She lost that right when she broke me." Jackson said with anguish in his voice.

"What is Jackson talking about, Jennie?" Steven asked after facing her.

She could not find the words to explain herself. Everything was happening too fast, and all she wanted was to erase this moment from existence.

"Jennie, what happened between you guys?" Rose called out after seeing the devastation on her son's face.

"I never meant for things to get this far, and I honestly did not want to hurt him." Jennie cried out.

"What did you do?" Steven angrily asked.

"How is having a kid with someone else not hurting me? I give you my all, and you rid my heart in pieces as a reward. Just get out!" Jackson angrily said.

"Jackson!" Jennie cried.

The moment that she had feared since the accident happened has occurred, and not in a million years did Jennie think that it who be this crushing.

"You heard the man! Get out!" Steven shouted.

The anger he felt was something he was struggling to keep under control at the moment, and every time Jennie it only fueled his anger.

"Steven, it's not what it seems?" Jennie said when she saw the hate in his eyes.

"I told you before to keep your lies hidden well! I told you not to break him again. Yet you ignored all my warnings and did the opposite." Steven screamed.

He walked over to Jennie, got a hold of both her shoulders and slightly shoved her towards the door.

"You are not needed here. He's fine without you now get out and don't come back!" He said in rage.

Jennie gazed at the faces of everyone, and all she could see was rage and disbelief on their faces. Yet the only face that mattered was Jackson, and he appeared like a wounded puppy, which made Jennie feel offended with herself.

'How did we get here?' She thought at the tear roll down her chin.
