A Letter From An Anonymous

Weird. Mysterious, yet an eye-catcher. These are the only words to describe a woman like Hiraya is, after she's gone through such traumatic experiences. The once bullied, and discriminated girl is now possessing an enigmatic aura which serves as a big threat to bullies trying to hurt her. Everyone was clueless on what has happened to her not until she started acting strangely towards her biggest bully, Alia. The girl, Alia wasn't aware of the changes coming towards her. All she can remember is that she was only messing with Hiraya, sending her letters pretending as a guy, confessing his love for her. Eversince she started sending letters to Hiraya, the woman never replied to it, not until the day before Hiraya went to school, wearing a playful smirk, throwing glances at her that seemed like she was making fun of her. The moment she started receiving replies from her, a weird feeling started to overtake her. Suddenly, Hiraya's playful smirks started making her feel like she's choking, out of breath—and her glances sending butterflies in her tummy, slowly giving in on her. But then one night came, another letter was left on her window. "I do remember how you tortured her mental state and all, I'll come take you tonight and show what my real world is, Alia. Always watching, Atarah" Dumbfounded, yet too late for her to realize that the Hiraya she used to bully wasn't her anymore, it was Atarah, a peculiar woman that came out of the blue one rainy night, taking over the real Hiraya's lonely yet rich life. A question started echoing in her mind—Who is Atarah, and what kind of creature she really is?

Chapter II: Missing In Action

It's been days since Hiraya were last seen in the campus, Alia, on the other hand, was left enjoying her momentum. For the past four days that her most abhored person—Hiraya, wasn't around for her to play with, she kept herself busy on observing whoever might be sending her those letters.

"Just were in the world do you think is that Hiraya hiding? "

Alia crossed her legs, resting her back on her swivel chair.

"Hey, what are you thinking?"

'Who could that be? With an initials of A and a T—who could that be? ' The questions were keep on echoing on her mind like an annoying boomerang, bringing her utmost curiosity to life.

"Ey, earth to Alia~" Serra, one of her friends came snapping its fingers right on her face.

"What was that again?" she answered with one her eyebrows raised.

"What were you thinking this whole time, Alia? You were making your own tiny little world again inside your head as if I'm not here talking with you." Serra replied while rolling its eyes.

" I have been witnessing you spacing out for these past several days, Alia, I mean, what's with you? " Serra excitedly pulled its chair close to her friend, waiting for her to tell her about it.

" Do you remember that night of the meteor shower forecast? " Alia asked.

" Yes, and what about it? "

"That was—"

"Those meteors were heaven to my eyes, isn't it a pretty romantic view for lovers? "

Serra bluntly stares at Alia.

" Wait a minute, are you blushing?!" Serra giggles, playfully poking Alia's cheek with her pointing finger.

"Blushing, who? Just—" Alia sighed as she stormed pass the room.

"Forget about it. I was just asking about the meteors, dumbass." Alia murmured as she turned her back to Serra, wearing an annoyed face.

" Something happened, right? Tell meeee! "

A group of people can be seen walking along the same corridors where Serra and Alia are, wearing those specific black suits.

" Now,who are these people? " Alia asked Serra, who's being unaware of what's happening either.

The group walked passed them, directly walking to the direction where her own special room is.

*click*

The door clicked open as one of the person puts the key on it.

"How dare them enter my room?!" Alia madly approached the group, pulling one of the men's ties and pushed the others a few inches from the door.

"Now, who do you think are you, entering my room without permission?" She asked, her eyes full of furious.

"Pardon our intrusion, but Lady Agane handled us the key for us to renovate this room." One of the men replied.

" Renovate what?! This isn't her room for her to lay her fingers on so why on earth is she giving you the permission to touch a property that wasn't even hers, huh?! " Alia gritting her teeth, asked them once again.

" But Lady Agane says so. She will be staying here starting tomorrow. Now if you don't mind, madame, we still have lots of work to start with." The guy loosen her hands from his ties, then tries to fix them again.

" You may leave now. " The tallest of one commanded.

"Hey Alia this isn't right why are they—" Serra did not even finished her statement, getting dragged by Alia along the corridors.

"And what the hell's with those men in suits?! They even look gorgeous with it that it feels illegal for me to be attracted for them—"

"Shut up Serra, I'm not in the mood!"

The students were watching them as they walked pass the hallway.

She is Alia Mamono, why is she being treated like this?! And to think that without Hiraya's presence, she is still being annoyed by her.

Four days. Within those four days, she have received four letters as well, counting to five, including those first ever letter that she received that night. For her, those letters were nothing but mockeries.

'For the gates may be dark

Yet a firefly would spark;

Cross those gates for even a thousand would count,

For a paradise to be with, even heaven cannot meet. '

And those poetic letters that she finds weird. 'Surely, that sender is mocking me.' She tells herself.

How dare that stranger make fun of her? Sending her weird letters. What's with those fireflies?! She can't even stand its metaphors. Why on earth is someone using metaphors on her?!

"I'll be going noowww! Get home saafe, okayy?!" Serra shouted at her as the lady shut her car's door closed.

"That Hiraya, did she get some backup for her and asked someone to reply my letters?! She's got the guts for making fun of me now?" she murmured, blankly giving those death stares into thin air in front of her.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the road, a kid with her mother is currently sitting on a bench, facing Alia.

"mamaaaa~" The kid cries as she meet Alias death stares that wasn't even really for her.

" And where the hell is my car?!! Damn can't this day be more nice with me?! "She started walking , stomping her shoes on the street.

" What's with that lady doing, unleashing her tantrums here in an open street?!" The mother of the kid asked herself while comforting her little girl.

'LILY OF THE VALLEY ST. "

Alia stared at the corner seeing the roadsign. It's not a familiar place for her, nor the ambiance of it.

" For Pete's sake I wasn't even aware of where I was going so here I am, ugh! " She throws a kick on a little stone with full of frustration.

" It's not a matter of week, yet here you are now craving to see me."

Craving.. who's craving?

"I'm here." Alia turned around as she hears someone whispered right into her ears.

Seeing who made it, Hiraya is now facing her, its right hand giving her little waves while wearing a playful smile.

"And what do you think you're doing?" She raised an eyebrow, insulting her by looking at her from head to toe.

"Are you having that really hard time to meet my eyes that's why you ended up screening my whole system just like an x-ray does?" With her arms crossed, Hiraya slowly walked, approaching her.

"You see, I've never been happy since the very first day that you entered 'my' school." She stares at her wearing a serious face.

Alia doesn't know how to act, for this is the first time that Hiraya learned to meet her eyes, and dared to approach and even get this kind of close to her. It's like she's staring right into a different person's eyes now.

Those eyes are new. The little grins. The gazes, and those playful annoying smirks.

"You see that street name?"

She was busy checking Hiraya out until it pointed the street signboard.

'Lily of the Valley... so we're talking about street names now? '

"Yes.. we are."

Alia surprisingly stared at Hiraya. It's not that she have read her mind, right?! It's not even possible for a person to do it, why is this weirdo getting even weirder at times like this?!

"That streetnames defines what you are to me."

She doesn't know if she would laugh or anything. The next thing she knew, Hiraya cannot be seen anymore.

"I'm a Lily now? What was that?" She was about to burst into laughter not until her phone started ringing and saw the caller.

'Butler Jeff'

She took a deep sigh then answered the called.

"I told you I was waiting right here for hours now! Why can't you even arrive on time, huh?!"

'Madame, you're not even on the waiting shed, we are looking for you the whole time.' says from the other line.

Realizing where she is, she let a frustrated kick on the road again and told the butler to pick her up.

'This day is weird, i hate it. '
