Weeks passed with the mismatched family finding some kind of normalcy amongst each other and in their various fields of work.
Despite all of their different backgrounds, they meshed well together in their professional and personal lives.
Varya was spending most of her time in meetings regarding the infrastructure of the empire while Ebari focused on managing soldiers, castle workers, and a plethora of other roles that benefitted the empire in some way. To say both of them were busy was an understatement.
Despite these things being at the very forefront of their existence for weeks, Varya continued to agonize over the lost transmission that one of the advisors had recorded. She still lost sleep often and kept the advisors on a short leash in case any of them unknowingly revealed information that would clear their name or otherwise.
