After that... rigorous night, Cameia and I fell asleep in one another's arms, the large, muscular woman wrapping me in her embrace.
Feeling incredibly safe as she held me close, I was in such a deep sleep that, according to Cameia the next morning, I didn't even wake up when a drunk Anko and Kurenai came back and joined in on the 'festivities', our Snake Charmer attempting to convince Cameia to join in.
Sitting gingerly at the dining room table, I blinked a few times, my body still hot from last night.
Makoto gave me a knowing look, while Karin sat beside me with a tilted head, wondering why I had yet to touch the meal of scrambled eggs and grilled salmon, staring idly at the plate.
"Aunty?"
Jolting awake, I glanced over at the small red head, giving her a tight smile.
"Y-Yeah, Karin?"
Reaching out, she laid her tiny hand on my arm, her red eyes filled with worry as she asked "Are you okay Aunty?"
Nodding, I turned to my plate and started eating, managing to stomach the meal even with a bloated stomach.
Thinking that, I laid a hand on my midriff, blushing slightly as I felt the small bump that Cameia gave me.
Makoto smirked at me, only to turn around as I glared at her.
Anko, Kurenai, and Cameia stumbled in, the three women a little exhausted by last night; Anko had apparently vented a lot with Kurenai, while Cameia had gotten a little... too excited, going another round with me after I passed out.
Sitting down, Anko groaned as she rubbed her temples, while Kurenai placed her head on the table.
Smirking at them, I then blushed as Cameia sat beside me, her hand ruffling my hair before she dug into her plate.
The meal passed by relatively quietly, the only one speaking being Karin as she asked me and Kurenai about Shinobi training; both of us tried our hardest to answer her wholeheartedly, but the hangovers, of both kinds, made it rather difficult.
Finishing up, Kurenai and I got to our feet, nodding to one another as she said "We need to go apply to the Academy..."
Anko looked up briefly, blinking a few times before groaning, saying "Have fun... argh for fucks sake..."
Laying her head on the table, Anko groaned again.
Cameia just stared at me before saying "Good luck..?"
Nodding at her, I made my way to the door, cleansing my system with a quick burst of medical chakra, which I gave to Kurenai as well.
Feeling rejuvenated, we exited the house, Karin standing at the door and waving.
"Bye Aunty! Bye Miss Kurenai!"
Waving back at her, we left the Compound and walked towards the Academy, where we were entered and made our way towards the Main Office.
Inside was the Head Instructor, as well as the other main instructors, but...
Well, there were only around a dozen people, for a few hundred kids...
Seeing Kurenai and I enter, the Head Instructor, a tall, thin woman with long, braided brown hair, smiled at her.
"Ah Kurenai! You're back! Did you want to take up your old position?"
Nodding, Kurenai said "Yes Miss Tiaga. In fact, I have my... wife, Kokoro Kanei, who also wants to apply."
Turning towards me, Miss Tiaga stared intently at me, pursing her lips.
"Well, that all depends on what she wishes to teach. We have Taijutsu slash Kenjutsu available for all years, as well as an opening for the Kunoichi Class for our current Third Years. Interested?"
"What would all three classes consist of? The same as a decade ago? Basic Tai and Kenjutsu, as well as culture and such for the Kunoichi?"
Miss Tiaga nodded, before saying "You wish to take all three? Bold. I like it. Now come; let me test you. Kurenai, you are free to resume your old position as History and Genjutsu Teacher for Third Years and above."
Bowing, Kurenai said "Thank you Miss Tiaga.", before following behind us as we made our way towards the large training grounds.
Reaching the center, Miss Tiaga lowered into a stance, raising her hands and standing like a cat, her hands drooped slightly like she was prepared to claw me.
Dropping into my own stance, I prepared for her to launch herself at me, wanting to react instead of act.
Smiling slightly at me, she dashed forwards, her speed incredible as she appeared before me in a blink of an eye, swiping her hands at me.
Blocking with my forearms, I pushed back and swept my leg out, only for her to jump over it.
Pushing off the ground, my feet sunk into her midriff, making the woman grunt.
However, she grabbed my legs and tried to swing me the other way, only to widen her eyes in surprise as I crunched myself towards her, swinging a fist towards her skull.
Dropping me, she blocked the strike and backed up, sighing as she said "I'm getting old... You pass for Taijutsu. Next, Kenjutsu."
Pulling out a scroll, she tossed me a wooden ninjato, the straight edged blade feeling comfortable in my hands.
Spinning it around, I easily parried her blade as she dashed towards me again, before twirling her blade around and disarming her.
She pursed her lips at that quick bout, only to chuckle as I said "Sorry, but I'm a damn good Kenjutsu user if I say so myself..."
Nodding, she sighed before taking the blade from me, placing it back in the scroll.
"Alright; that's two of three. Next, just a few questions..."
Miss Tiaga asked "Where would you use yellow roses?"
"To wish someone a speedy recovery."
"Name of the dance used by the Daimyo of Fire in his court?"
"Waltz."
"Advice on infiltrating a business or court?"
"Don't stand out; if using a Henge, match the natives, and memorize etiquette. For example, in Kiri the women are the ones to hold open doors or carry items, while in Kumo the women are to never walk in front of their male partner; either side by side or slightly behind. As for business, be neither outstanding or worthless; be average, so as to not attract attention at all."
After another few questions, Miss Tiage nodded, smiling at me.
"Alright, you are hired. Not many Kunoichi commit that to memory anymore, so expect some less than stellar students."
"Yes ma'am."
Streching her arms, Miss Tiage said "The Academy is on break for another week, so you can start on the third. We'll send you the schedule, pay details, any items or material needed to be memorized, and the like by tomorrow. Good luck, Miss Kanei."
Bowing slightly to us, Miss Tiage walked away, and Kurenai and I grinned at one another.
"Well, looks like we're employed~!"
