Chapter 3 Amber Lori

Aries Pov

The two girls appeared to be engaged in a furious argument. The girl had beautiful blonde wavy hair and stood 180 cm tall. She was dressed up in a fancy red dress with some makeup on her face. She came from a wealthy family, as I could see. Her golden eyes were fixed on the woman.

The second woman was 175 cm tall and had long red hair in a ponytail. She was dressed in a black shirt, black leggings, and black boots. Her neck was adorned with a cocker. Her appearance suggests that she is a tomboy gothic girl.

The screaming became louder as the blonde girl shoved the red-headed girl into the locker. Jim and I looked at the situation with stunned expressions on our faces. This argument has progressed to a new level. Someone was going to get hurt if no one intervened and stopped it.

I looked at the other students recording the fight on their phones and laughing and playing bets on who would win. This aggravated me. These are future hunters that will protect the innocent from demons. And they are acting so childish that it is not even funny hunters should act humble and demonstrate leadership and show a sense of honor.

I clenched my fists and continued to stare at the two women fighting. At the time, there were no teachers in the hallways. The next class was about to begin, and if I did not act, things would only worsen. When Jim saw my determination to step in, he looked across at me. His lips would break into a slight smile.

"Judging by your expression. You want to step in and help?" He asked me.

"Yes, I have no choice. It wouldn't sit right with me if I didn't help." I responded with a smirk.

"I didn't know that my friend had a hero complex." He said with a chuckle.

"Hey! I don't have a hero complex!" I responded.

"Anyways, go ahead help out. I'II be your backup if things get out of hand." He said.

"Alright, thank you, Jim," I responded with a smile.

The redhead female had been grabbed by the collar of her shirt by the blonde-headed female. She was about to throw a punch when she lifted her hand. Before the punch made contact with her, I caught it. Both females had shocked expressions on their faces as they stared at me.

"You're a hunter in training, so that's enough. This is not how you should act. If you have a problem, properly resolve it." I remarked, my gaze fixed on the blonde woman.

The blonde woman glared at me and dropped her arm, and stormed off. I let out a sigh and dropped my arm. I turned to face the red-headed girl. She was looking down at the ground with nothing but anger and sadness in her eyes. I felt sorry for her. I didn't know what was happening, but I knew she was hurting.

"You okay? Need a hand?"I asked, extending my hand out to her.

"LEAVE ME ALONE!"She yelled, slapping my hand away.

I was taken aback by her shouting. She merely glared at me as she raised her head. Tears threatened to stream down her cheeks. After watching her body language, I could see how arrogant she was now. Body language can reveal a great deal about a person's personality.

The redhead girl rose to her feet, her gaze fixed on me. She walked by, her shoulders bumping against mine. She came to a complete stop a few steps away from me and turned to face me.

"I didn't need or want your help. So do me a favor and stop playing hero and mind your business." She scoffed as she walked away.

I stood there, stunned, as I watched her walk away. I wasn't angry or irritated with her because she treated me. I realized what she was up to when cornered against a wall. And the fact that someone had to save her may make anyone feel self-conscious.

"So that happened. What was her problem?" Jim asked.

"I don't know. I tried to help and got yelled at. Man, girls are confusing." I said, rubbing the back of my head.

"I agree with you on that one." He said with a giggle.

"Alright, let's not run into no more moody girls." I chuckled.

"That wasn't funny at all." He said, giving me an unamused look.

"It was funny, and it should be funny!" I said, poking my finger at him jokingly.

"Whatever." He said, rolling his eyes.

"Fine, be that way. That's why I'm not walking to class with you," I said, sticking my tongue out at him.

"Okay, feel to but don't come sitting next to me at lunch." He said with a chuckle.

"Alright, enough jokes, let's get to class. I said. The fight already wasted our time."

"Alright, the last one is a rotting egg." He said as he started to run off."

"Hey! Not Fair!"I said as I chased after him.

Since he cheated, Jim and I ran to the classroom he had won. We walked into the classroom and looked around. We couldn't find any open seats because it was so crowded with students. We noticed two empty seats. The one on the left was on the left, and the other was on the right. Jim took the right-hand seat, and I took the left-hand seat.

I took a seat and looked around to see who I was seated with. I was sitting next to the same redhead I had met in the corridor. I didn't believe I'd see her again, but we were in the same class. Even if she was harsh to me, I think I can get to know her. She was most likely having a horrible day. Everyone has bad days now and then. As a result, it was worth a shot.

"Ummm, hi," I said to her.

"Ugh, what you want." She responded.

"Im Aries, nice to meet you." I smiled at her.

"Im Amber Lori. Now can you leave me alone?" She asked, getting annoyed.

"Umm, ok, fine, my bad," I said, turning back to the front of the classroom.

The teacher had entered the classroom, her left hand holding a clipboard. She stepped behind the desk and set her clipboard on the table. Her pink hair was tied in a bun, and she stood 170CM tall. She was dressed in black dress pants and a white dress shirt. She was also dressed in a black pair of boots and a white lab coat.

"Good morning, class. I will be your weapon arts teacher. I'm M.s Bell." She said.

Her pink eyes stared at every single last one of us. I could feel her eyes judging us by our appearance.

"You will learn about the different weapons and how to use them in this course. They all push you to work on your foundation and pay attention to what I'm teaching. This is your future, so give it everything you've got." She gave the class a beautiful smile.

Her voice was charming and seductive, and she won the hearts of all the male pupils. Their eyes were filled with hearts. They must adore this teacher, and I don't blame them; she is quite lovely.

She'd started teaching us about the many types of weaponry and how to utilize them to our most significant advantage. She used the whiteboard to draw some illustrations to help us understand what she was saying. I returned my gaze to Amber, who was taking notes as the session progressed. With that enthusiastic grin on her face, she appeared to be enjoying the instruction.

"You seem to be enjoying the lesson," I said.

"Yeah, what about it?" She asked in an annoyed tone.

"Nothing, I just enjoyed seeing that happy look on your face," I said with a chuckle.

"You're creeping me out. What are you trying to do?" She said, getting a bit loud.

"Im just trying to be friends with you. You seem like a fun person to be around."

"First of all, literary just told you to leave alone in the hallways. Second of all, I don't need friends." She said, rolling her eyes.

"What makes you say that? We can't always do things on our own." I responded.

"Ok, it's clear to me that you have a hero complex. You want to be my friend to fill your complex, and don't feel guilty. I don't want to be friends with people like that. I do me a favor and fuck off." She said, turning away from me.

I was exploding with rage at this point since she is far too stubborn for her good. I'm not doing this to satisfy my so-called hero complex; instead, I'm doing it to be there for her. I could hear the sadness and grief in her voice just by listening to it. I couldn't take it any longer. Perhaps I have a hero complex, but it's healthy and honorable. I leaped from my seat and gazed down at her.

"AMBER, LISTEN TO ME LOUD AND CLEAR IM NOT DOING THIS FOR A STUPID COMPLEX. I SEE THAT YOU'RE HURTIG, AND I WANT TO BE BY YOUR SIDE AS YOUR FRIEND. SO GET THAT DEPRESSED STICK OUT YOUR ASS, AND LET ME FUCKING HELP YOU!" I yelled at her.

Amber and the other students just gazed at me, their faces flushed with surprise. I breathed a sigh of relief as my system cleared. I hadn't planned on yelling at her, but I did, and I don't regret it. Then, all of a sudden, a shiver ran down my spine. Ms. Bell gave me the deadliest scowl I'd ever seen when I turned around. I'II would be dead right now if looks could kill.

"Aries, please meet me after class, please."

"Yes, Ma'am," I said, sulking.

"Thank you." She said, returning writing on the whiteboard

.I sat back down at my desk, staring at it. On the first day, I made a major mistake. I allowed my emotions to get the best of me, and instead of thinking before acting, I ended up acting on instinct. I need to learn to control my emotions, or I'll end up acting rashly and causing additional issues for myself and others.

The bell rang, telling students that it was time to switch classes. They got up and started to pack their things, and walked out of the classroom. Amber got up and packed her things. She gave a look of guilt before she left out of the room. I sighed before getting up and packing my things. I walked towards Ms.Bell's decks and stood in front of it.

The bell rang, signaling that it was time for students to switch classes. They stood up and began packing their belongings before exiting the classroom. Amber stood up and grabbed her belongings, giving a guilty face as she walked out of the room. Before waking up and packing my belongings, I sighed. I approached Ms.Bell's desk and took a position in front of it.

"Aries, your yelling. You were being very distracting."She said, looking at me.

"Yes, ma'am, I was im sorry I let my emotions get the best of me, "I said, looking down in shame.

"I could see that. Judging by your conversation, I could tell that you were worried about Amber. Am im right?" She asked.

"I know I can tell that she been some things. I don't know what happened, but at least I want to stand by her side." I said, smiling a bit.

"You did the right thing but in the wrong way. It would be best if you started thinking before acting and saying something. Because thinking on impulse and cause you trouble for yourself and your classmates."She said.

"Yes, ma'am, I understand," I responded.

"Ok, since it's the first-day im going to let you off with a warning, ok? Don't let this happen again." She said, glaring at me.

"Yes, ma'am, it won't happen again!" I said with a gulp.

"Now get going." She said, waving me off.

"Ok, ma'am have a good day," I said as I started to walk off.

"You too." She responded.

I exited the classroom and entered the corridors. Amber was standing in the hallway when I entered. She rubbed her arm and wore an anxious expression on her face. She locked her gaze on me and moved closer until she was directly in front of me.

"Umm, hey." She said nervously.

"Hey, you need something?" I asked her.

"I just wanted to stay sorry for getting you in trouble even though most of it was your fault." She said.

"Yeah, I admit it was myself. I shouldn't yell like that."He said with a chuckle.

"But anyways, but you truly meant what you said by there?" She asked.

Yes, I will always be there for you no matter what happens. You're not alone; as a buddy, I'm here for you." I hugged her as I wrapped my arms around her.

"All right, you'd best keep your word." As she hugged my back, she said.
