It doesn't become any easier if you have to deal with a dark past that looms at every corner. How will Lais Felix and Helen Song, two best friends with tragic pasts, handle life as soldiers while running from their past? Will they manage to escape their tragic beginnings? Nine Years Ago
HELEN
"Then what else will you call me!?" Felix screams out, shocking Koppal and myself.
I have never heard him scream or be angry before. But that is what he seems now, angry, anguished.
"I'm a mistake! Nothing but a freaking abomination! My own father said so! No wonder he hated me, no wonder he hoped I was never born! All I am is a product of sin. I should have never been born! Then maybe…maybe my father would not have had to hate, and my mother would not have to die. I'm an abomination, a mistake. I'm the worst, I'm the lowest of all! I deserve to be called Malius, I'm nothing but the product of darkness!" Felix screams out, in anger, in frustration, in pain.
"Your highness, please, please. Don't call yourself that name, you don't deserve that. Please, you are more than that. You are not a mistake. Please, don't cry anymore," Koppal begs.
