Chapter 26: Cassandra

I stared out the window while the instructor talked about post spring break training. Luckily, we'd made it through at least half the semester without the academy revoking our hex training. We'd spoken to Aurelius who said he would speak to Headmaster Eliphas about our concerns. Of course, we didn't know if we had changed the headmaster's mind or if he were delaying the inevitable.

There hadn't been a resurgence of Edius or Ren, which made most of us uneasy. We figured if he wasn't spending his time attacking us, then he was probably spending his time planning an attack. The five of us had to stick together. Aurelius reiterated we couldn't defeat Edius individually, but together we had a chance. The guys all agreed we needed to stay close and not venture too far from one another; though, I still felt a division between Dash and Braeden. Even Kyler seemed to have something weighing heavily on his mind.
