Draven finally looked at her. "Didn't I tell you, I have never met someone like you before?"
Avelina was still and unmoving. Though her thoughts and heartbeats were steady, she had no idea what to say. She was at a total loss for words.
Draven stood up to his feet. He grabbed hold of her and pulled her in, hugging her. "I have quite missed you and your charming presence. It was pretty boring without you. I mean, your usual self."
Avelina slowly blinked her eyes and gradually wrapped her arms around his waist, embracing him.
"I missed you too. A lot…" Her last sentence was more of a whisper.
Draven pulled back to look at her. He gently grabbed her chin and looked into her eyes. "Did you?"
Avelina frantically nodded her head, swallowing hard in the process.
Draven half-smiled, ruffling her hair. "Why don't you wait for me? I must have my bath. I will be with you afterward." He lifted her off the table and put her down on the bed.
