"Great. I'll tell the HR staff. See you soon," Claire answered, hanging up and quickly calling the HR department.
"This is Claire. I'm hiring a new helper, Elvis. I need you to handle his paperwork and get him set up as soon as possible," she directed.
The HR boss replied, "Of course, Mrs. Claire. However, we will need Mr. Joshua's approval for the new hire."
Claire's grip tightened on the phone. "Fine, just get everything ready. I'll handle Joshua."
As she hung up, Claire felt a sense of purpose. She wouldn't let Mia or Joshua weaken her power. If they wanted to play games, she was more than ready.
Meanwhile, Joshua's helper entered his office. "Sir, the HR department just told me that Mrs. Claire is hiring a new helper. They need your approval."
Joshua looked up, his face stiffening. "Who is she hiring?"
"Someone named Elvis," the helper answered.
