"What should I do, it can't stop bleeding" she cried looking down at her blood-stained hands.
She looked around but could not find anything to use "take off your shirt," she said.
He chuckled in pain, "Tati, I know it's been long but we can't do anything in this situation" he said.
"What the hell are you saying, take off your shirt right now," she said helping him take it off. she folded it and placed it on top of his wound adding pressure to it. She sighed, "the bleeding has slowed down."
He sighed as his eyes slowly closed. "Hi, don't sleep right now" she tapped his face.
She looked around now that she had stopped his bleeding she remembered the haunting of the ghosts. "You said you would protect me now why are you sleeping before me"
Jack opened his eyes weakly, "Am here, not sleeping at all" he said trying to move his head up.
She moved his head placing it on her lap, "better" she asked.
"Mmm," he said.
She pulled the lamp closer and held on to his wound.
Jack was in and out of sleep, and Tatiana felt his body's temperature raise, she placed him down and picked up the lamp. Forgetting her fear of ghosts she walked around the cabin and grabbed things she could use, lucky the tap still flowed with water grabbing a small bowl she filled it with water and walked to him.
She sighed, "Your lucky am not cold-blooded like you" pulling off her top, leaving her only in her bra, she dumped it into the water and then passed it on his body to help his temperature go down. He finally went back to normal after three changes of water, she sighed watching him sleep soundly. Moving to his wound, the flow of blood had slowed down.
She got up and pulled down the old curtains, dusting them. She pulled one over him and the other she used to cover herself hearing the weird noise of insects and animals outside in the forest she moved closer to the sleeping Jack for comfort.
Silently praying that the next morning they would find a way out of the forest.
...
"You're really a bunch of fools, how could you let them escape" Teddy's brother shouted.
His men turned away, "Sorry boss "
"I don't care if you don't sleep you go back and look for them. It's a big forest they can't have gone far" he yelled.
