Intruder

Tatiana was working late in the office when she heard a strange noise coming from outside her door.

"Meredith is that you?" she called but got no answer. She got up walking out to check who it was. It was so late and most of the staff had left already.

She heard the door to their coffee break room close, turning to see nothing but the door close.

The sound of her heels on the tiled floor as she walked moved closer to the room.

"Who is in there?" she asked pushing it open. Before she could turn on the lights someone pushed her away.

She fell hard on the floor but turned and see someone run out. She kicked off her heels running after them.

"Who the hell are you" she shouted grabbing the arm of the intruder, who was dressed in black with a hood and mask on.

They turned pushing her off, Tatiana grabbed on forcefully throwing the intruder off balance. They both landed on the floor, she moved climbing on top of them.

"What do you want in my office" she yelled trying to pull off the mask.

The other proved to be strong too and fought her off hitting her in the face with files that had dropped to the floor during their fight. Tatiana fell off crying in pain when one cut her face and the stranger ran off.

The noise had attracted the security guard who was making his rounds. He ran inside to her on the floor in a mess.

"What happens boss?" he said.

"Go after them, someone was in here," she said.

The guard got up and ran out but didn't see anyone so he returned to her.

"Your bleeding we need to get you some help he said.

She called Steve who rushed to her after leaving Gabriel with Patricia. The police took her statement and left. He drove her to the hospital where they treated her cut and stitched it.

"How are you feeling, "he asked.

"Am fine just shaken up? "she said.

"Next time don't fight an intruder and instead hide while you call for help, "he said. "Anyone else would that not go head to head with them"

She laughed, "I just wanted to know who it was "

"Why would you fight them, what if they had a weapon and attacked you with it, please be careful next time," he said.

"I will I promise, "she said.

They walked out of the hospital to his car.
