Tatiana called and told them he had found Patrica and they were having fried chicken.
Eric, Alex, Mark and Steve drove to where she had said they were. Patrica had looked up with swollen red eyes but an oily mouth filled with chicken crumbs.
"You guys are late, it's almost done," she said. Alex and others sat down to join her in ordering more.
Tatiana got up, "Where are Jack and Gabriel?" she asked.
"He was sleeping so he took him home," Eric said.
"Which home?" she asked.
"His home, he doesn't know where you leave so he had to take him somewhere," Eric said.
Tatiana sighed, "That sly bastard" she turned to her friend and then back to Eric. "She is not okay, I calmed her down but you need to talk to her," she said walking away.
...
She called Jack on her way home but didn't get a reply.
"Welcome back, young mistress," the maids said the moment she walked.
"Where is son?" she asked.
"Master took him up to sleep," they said.
She was heading for the stairs when she heard his mother's voice.
"Oh my God Tatiana" she called.
She had avoided her at Eric's mother's birthday but now she could not. It as there house. She turned to put on her best smile.
"Mother," she said.
"You finally came to see us," she said hugging her.
"Not really mother, just came to pick up my son. But I will visit you when I get time" she lied, she hated everything connected to Jack.
"Oh, my grandson is here".
"Yes, Jack bought him from the party," she said.
"Oh, then let him sleep, it is not good to wake him up when his already sleeping" she said leading Tatiana away.
"Am sorry mother, but I have to take him and am in a hurry"
"But why has it been so long since you were here "she frowned.
"It was hoping signs of rain and I hate driving in the rain so I want to leave before it starts and my boyfriend doesn't want me to stay out this late with Gabriel "
"Let's go say quick hi, to my husband before you leave then," she said.
Tatiana sighed finally giving up, "Get us some tea," Mrs Avil said the maid.
"Tatiana" his father exclaimed hugging her "you finally came to see us".
She fakely smiled sitting down...
"We are really sorry about all that happened in the past," he said.
"It's all in the past father," she said.
"But you never gave us a chance to properly apologise. We are really sorry for your mother's and property loss".
She felt something clutch her throat but she smiled, "thank you for apologizing, father but it's all good now".
"Thank you for saving our company, Jack told me about it too," he said.
She nodded.
"Am sorry father but I have to go now?" she said.
"Okay but please when you get time, please introduce our grandson to us"
She could see the fear of being rejected in his eyes.
She smiled, "I will soon father," she said walking out.
She walked up the stairs and opened the door to Jack's room according to her memory of the house.
He was laying down next to Gabriel deep asleep. They looked so peaceful sleeping together that she smiled.
Something flashed from the window and the sound of rain was heard outside.
She frowned looking out the window, "Oh great it's like the weather isn't only side either tonight"
