Sitting on the bank of the brooke we found, our toes dipped in the water as we listened to the peacefulness of crickets chirping around us. I snuggled closer to Micah, his grip tightening around my shoulder as he place a delicate kiss on the side of my head.

"This is perfect." I sighed

"Yea it is, it's been a while since we've been able to enjoy nature."

"I wish we could stay like this forever."

As I uttered those words we jumped as several dark shadows trampled loudly through the brush. I let out a scream as they rushed us. Several masked men tackled Micah to the grassy ground while a few more dragged me away through the brush.

"MICAH!!" I screamed for him but to no avail.

I felt a sharp pain hit the back of my head, and then black.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I woke up in pain, reaching my hand to the back of my head I felt the dry crusted blood on my hair and winced. I was laying on the cold stone floor of a dungeon. I knew not where I was nor what day it was anymore. I reeked of body odor and blood so I knew it must've been several days since the attack. Rats shuffled along the walls, I shivered from both the cold and disgust.
A loud bang of an iron door signaled someone's approach. The heavy thud of boots became louder and louder before stopping in front of my cell.
"Good. You're awake." A deep, cold voice sneered at me. Looking up I was greeted with the sight of a huge man, his greasy black hair flipped over one eye. A large scar stretched from his forehead down to his chin, he looked on at me with disgust.
"What do you want from me??" I asked him with a shaky voice.
"Rumor has it you have a way with these...abominations." he said as he pulled a tiny dragon from behind his back. Holding it by the wings he shoved it through the bars of my cell, causing it to scream in pain.
"You monster! It's just a baby!" I yelled at him rushing to the dragon and gingerly wrapping it in my skirt.
"Ha! Me?! A monster?! Look at what it's kind did to my face!" He yelled back angrily pointing at his face,
"I would love to see it's kind burn!!" He gave an angry turn and stormed out of the dungeon.
Bringing my attention to the dragon I held in my lap I examined its little body for broken bones. Luckily there were none but it was severely malnourished. Looking to the cell doors I found a tray with gruel, it's not much but it would provide this baby with some nutrients.
