The Rest?!

Jasper hurried back and April dropped her comic book and snatched the bag containing the feminine products out of his hands before running into the bathroom the moment he opened her door. He stood there awkwardly and decided to find a place for the ice cream in the mini fridge while he waited for her to come back.

She emerged wearing a different pair of pajamas and thanked him without meeting his gaze. The bag with the stuffed animal was in her line of sight and she immediately forgot about her embarrassment.

"Violet!" she cried with delight as she pulled it out.

Jasper looked at her in confusion. "…Violet?"

"These are collectibles. They each have their own name and backstory. The purple octopus's name is Violet. I used to have the same one."

That was news to him. These were collectibles? Did that mean she collected them? Would she be happy if he bought a bunch of these things? He was sure he would be able to find some online.
