Invasion

The atmosphere seemed tense, nobody was around, it was as if the whole town was depopulated. Breanna Styles had been away for studies. She walked through the deserted streets of Silvinia town. So much seemed to have changed in four years. She had left this place with a heavy heart due to an occurrence she would rather not resciminate over.

She rang the bell to her parent's house, she regretted not driving here as she preferred to enjoy the scenery along the way.

The door opened revealing a woman in her late fifties.

"Welcome Miss, your father has been waiting for you in his study," she said, smiling at her. Everything seemed odd, why was Maria acting strange. She didn't seem pleased seeing her despite knowing her from her childhood.

Breanna softly knocked the same old door of her father's study. Nothing had really changed around the house. "Come in, Breanna darling," her father's deep but calm voice said. Breanna didn't know where to be sad or disappointed with the cold reception she was receiving.

"Dad, why did you summon me back in a haste? And where is everybody?" She asked taking a seat opposite her father.

Richard Styles looked at his daughter, she had not changed much. He felt sad for having called her back to face the inevitable.

As the Alpha of the Silvinia Pack, he had responsibilities to protect his people.

"Breanna, so many things have happened while you were away," Richard said, leaning forward to hold his daughter's hand.

"I am sure you have heard of the invasion going on in almost every weak Pack," he said, lowering his eyes in guilt.

"Dad, what are you trying to say? Where's Mom and brother?" Breanna asked her voice breaking. She didn't want to imagine that they were this unlucky to have been invaded by the lycans.

Though she was away, she had heard of the invasion of Lycans who were looking for breeders. They were said to result in every way possible to anyone who tried to resist.

"They took your mother and brother demanding that I should summon you back," Richard explained pain written all over his face.

"But how did they know about me dad? And where are the rest of the pack members?" Breanna couldn't stop with questions. Nothing was adding up at this point.

"Leonard betrayed me, he gave up your name to save his family, now he's the current Alpha," he paused clenching his feast. "The pack members fled to protect their daughters and this rest were moved to the new pack house," Richard explained feeling powerless.

Breanna found all this too much to handle. How did everything turn out like that? She felt guilty, she should have been there to protect her family.

A loud bang at the door made Richard move protectively in front of his daughter. Although they had succeeded in taking away his Luna and son, there was no way he was going to allow them to take his daughter too.

"Breanna Styles, you have been summoned before his Majesty immediately," the guard with a familiar face said, looking at her. Breanna couldn't believe it, she felt a pang of pain pass through her heart at the painful memory.

This very man, Victor Rivers, had rejected her at her mate four years ago, he had termed her as too powerful for him, saying he needed a more submissive mate. Now here he was reduced from a Beta's son to a guard. Breanna stiffed a laugh at the thought.

"My daughter is not going anywhere," the Alpha voice furiously boomed in the room.

Breanna looked at him begging him with her eyes not to make things worse. "I'll be alright dad, don't worry," she assured him, hugging him.

Richard Styles watched as his daughter was escorted out of the room. He couldn't do anything. His people were right terming him as the cowardice Alpha. He lowered his head in disappointment. Although he had seen a ray of hope in his daughter's eyes, he couldn't help but fear for her life. Breanna had always been impulsive and never one to take insults.

"Took you long enough to return," Victor teased Breanna, breaking the silence as they approached the massive building that was visible from a far.

"If you were you I would not do that Victor," Breanna replied gritting her teeth at him. She felt her wolf stir in anger.

"Or what Bre, what are you going to do? I rejected you and out of shame you ran, let's see how you'll take being used by that lycan beast," he said, laughing as if he were mocking her.

"At least he is a man you'll never be!" Breanna snapped back feeling her wolf boost in pride.

Victor's eyes widened he didn't seem to take the insult well, as he grabbed her neck and pinned her to the wall angrily.

He looked at her with an evil grin plastered on his face. Before he knew what was going on, he was laying on the ground with Breanna on top of him bearing her teeth to him.

"Never try that again, mut!" Breanna felt her wolf suffice and warn him. His face turned white from fear. No one knew about her developed strength yet, she had not just fine to cry her ass off or study plainly. She had focused on herself and with help of her wolf and a friend she had turned into a strong wolf. Her abilities had heightened to a surprising level she herself didn't understand.

The pack house seemed even more enormous from up close. She marched to the entrance feeling a murderous intent from what had been taken from her family by her so-called uncle.

Everyone looked at her with surprise written all over their faces. A guard nodded at her and started walking inside, taking that as her cue to follow, she entered the mansion.

"The alpha is expecting you," the guard stated ushering her into a grand hall.

The hall fell silent as all the occupants turned their heads to look at the intruder. Their conversation seemed to have been intense before she walked in.

There he was, Leonard in all his glory flushing a smile at her. "Bow down and greet your alpha child," he ordered.

Breanna felt her wolf push in anger, she knew if she were to be given a chance she'd take many of them on in a fight before they even arrested her. She took a deep breath in contemplating on what her treacherous uncle had just said. It was as if he wanted to humiliate her In front of his group of betrayals.

" I will never bow before betrayals like you!" Breanna challenged causing gasps to echo in the room. Nobody had the courage to challenge an alpha before his pack. Breanna felt her blood boil, ready for a fight if any occurred.

"You really have no shame, just like your stupid father, today I'll teach you how to elders," Leonard said signalling for a guard to grab her.

Breanna turned pouncing in the guard throwing him against the wall. The hall fell silent in shock.

"You think you are strong to take me on? Silly girl," Leonard said trying to hide the fear that braced his face. He had never since that strength except from the invaders, the lycans.

Breanna looked at him ready to attack him in his blabbing. She could see fear in his eyes, no matter how hard he tried to conceal it, making her smirk at him.

She felt a sting on the back of her neck, catching her by surprise. She turned to see Victor holding a long syringe in his hand smirking at her. She felt her muscles giving out and laughs disappearing around her.

She saw victor walk towards her pulling at her clothing, ripping it apart. They couldn't possibly want to do this to her, her mind panicked. How cruel had these people turned? No words came out of her mouth. Too weak to do anything she felt alone tear find its way down her cheek as she suffered the humiliation.
