Chapter 4: Great encounter

After the dinner with the Williams I went home to get ready for my interview it was starting at 2:00 and it was already 1:30.

When we reached home I went to my room to freshen up and change my clothes. When I was ready I said goodbye to my parents but only my mom replied but I just smiled at my dad and left for the interview.

I decided to not take a car so as to not grab attention, so I walked to the office as I was walking I tripped and bumped into someone I was already preparing myself for the pain after falling down but luckily I didn't feel any pain as I was about to fall because he caught me.

I wish he never caught me so I awkwardly said thanks I wanted to leave but he pulled me towards him and I could hear his heartbeat it sounded like a beautiful Melody playing in my head. But for some reason I didn't push him like I should have because as far as I remembered I always felt uncomfortable around men but for some reason I felt safe in his arms.

But I quickly brushed off the idea I wanted to find out who had the audacity to hold me like that forgetting that the person just saved me from falling down and totally embarrassing myself.

I looked up to the person and and the next second I stood frozen looking at him as I was trapped by his beautiful reddish brown eyes they seemed to tell a story but I couldn't quite figure out what it was. I desperately tried to look away but he's eyes seemed to have trapped me before I finally forced myself to blink and look away.

I looked up at him and quickly told him to let go of me as he was still holding me but I was shocked by his response.

I can drop you off I saw you when you came for the interview last time I'm guessing you're here to check your results and go for the official training while congrats you got the job.

I just looked at him a shock, at the first interview they told us to come back to know the results so what was he saying and and how could I let a random stranger drop me off.

My brain was still trying to process what he just said my head was still hazy and I felt confused but before I could say anything he quickly pulled me into his car and zoomed off.

( INSIDE THE CAR )

I was so confused and lost in thought wondering where we were even going and what was happening when I suddenly heard him say.

" By the way my name is David what is yours?"

I was shocked he just dragged me into his car and now he's asking my name, on a normal day I would have thought before saying anything but for some reason he's words felt like they were slowly hypnotizing me to do what he said, but I suddenly shaked my head to get my thoughts together and finally decided to trust him enough to tell him my name.

My name is Faith but why are you helping me I don't even know you.

Well because I'm late for work and if my dad asks me why am I late I'll see I was picking up a cute girl, since he wants me to get married anyway I'm sure he'll be happy. 

After saying that he suddenly winked at me. The way he winked at me made my heart beat faster and a chill went down my spine.

I shaked my head to brush away the thoughts. I was slowly getting bored in the car because he was driving so slow so I couldn't help but stare at him and admire his...

I slapped myself hard before I could think of any inappropriate words I couldn't believe I was drooling over him, A MAN. No way

I didn't even realize that he was staring at me, I turned to ask him why he was staring but all he said was "cute". And I blushed, BLUSHED, me blush because a guy simply said I was cute. 

What is wrong with me today I have received a lot of compliments and never had this reaction before so what was different about him.

I noticed the car stopped and quickly jumped out, I thanked David for his "help" and told him I owed him. I quickly turned around to leave but he held my hand and pulled me toward him again and said.

"If you really owe me meet me at the boucher's cafe at 3:00 p.m. after work and buy me dinner. 

I said yes but all I could think of was our closeness, we were so close I could feel his breath on my face and for some reason he smelt like the ocean. And coincidentally that was my happy place.

I quickly stepped back to get a hold of myself, said sure and quickly left before he could stop me.

As I was walking into the company the thought of him still lingered in my mind but I brushed it off and started walking to the head office to find where my new table was.

I started to think about the decisions I made to get this job. I couldn't believe I was going to be working for the RK company my dad's biggest rival.

Even though my dad's company is bigger, if my dad were to find out I would be toast. The only reason I decided to work here was so I could get enough money to start my own business to prove to my dad that I'm worthy of working in his company.

I knew my dad would never let me work in his company so I decided to go behind his back and apply for a job at his rivals company giving them a big advantage of destroying his company, but I had no other choice he could have just given me a job at his company and none of this would have happened.

When I reached the main office they told me the CEO wasn't around they also said I should meet his son for more information. To the led me to where she sons of his was.

When I stepped in I was shocked to see he was sitting on a chair playing video games like he didn't even care about what "DAVID"

WHAT!!! How could he be the ceo's son he doesn't even look like he's interested in business...

(POV DAVID)

20 minutes before.....

I decided to finally go to work so that my dad would stop disturbing me, not that I even had the intention of doing any actual work.

I was driving to work and I decided to stop and buy some snacks, I came down from my car and was heading towards a nearby store when suddenly I bumped into someone A GIRL.

She almost fell before I caught her. I felt the world stop it was like we were the only ones there, I felt a strange feeling as we stared at each other's eyes, it was like we had known each other for a very long time, which was not possible since we just met so I wondered why I had this feeling. 

But she awkwardly looked away and I notice I had seen her before somewhere. I quickly racked my brain to remember where I had seen her and that's when I remembered.

When I last came to the office I saw her. She came for an interview to get a job so I decided to give her a lift because I knew she got a job. She was the best out of everyone,because of her confidence everyone else was just scared and besides even if she didn't get the job who would ever be able to refuse this CEO's son (smirk).

(INSIDE THE CAR)

I told her my name and asked for hers she said her name was Faith, after that she didn't say any other thing which was kind of strange since I thought girls were talkatives but she was quiet.

While I was focusing on the road I noticed she was staring at me and then all of a sudden she's slapped herself. I wanted to ask her when she slapped herself but decided not to do so.

So when she asked me why I was staring I just said "cute", and I noticed her cheeks turned red. Was she blushing, I didn't have time to be sure because we had reached the office and she suddenly moved out of the car as soon as I stopped.

I came out of the car I told her to meet me at the boucher's cafe for compensation and she agreed so I went straight to my office still wondering why my heart was beating so fast as I was near her.
