Chapter Thirteen

"Eh?"

Staring at the hand that reached out to him, Caspian glanced up and saw the Crown Prince.

"Can you repeat what you just said?"

Arthur smiled,"Will you go dance with me?Young Master Caspian." while shaking his hand.

"Go dance with him now!" Gwen whispered beside him, before pushing him out of the seat, Arthur perfectly hug his framed before it landed on the ground.

Caspian glared at Gwen, before turning his face back to Arthur,"Of course Your Majesty."

Arthur grasp his hand and led him in the center of the room, the others gof out of the way and the light soon descend to their figures.

As if both of them were alone in a spacious room, just the teo of their intwined hands.

"Are you shock?" Arthur asked, wrapping his other arm around the Pinkette waist, while the other held their linked fingers.

He shake his head,"Not really."

"Was it obvious from my hair?"

Caspian almost let out a gasp when Arthur decided to twirl him around, bringing him back to his arms.

"Of course it's obvious!You have the emperor's eyes." He glared at him, pinching him on his arm.

Arthur laughed in response,"I'm gonna lift you up okay?" Caspian eyes widened,"What?!"

Arthur bring both of his arms at his waist and lifted the Youth up in the air.Caspian closed his eyes and unconciously grip the Crown Prince shoulder tensely.

Arthur eyes twinkles staring at the beauty in his arms, just like the first time he met Caspian.Those hair that flutters wavily in the wind, as well those eyes smiling with the children.

Arthur place Caspian down and hug him infront of everybody.He didn't care if thoses eyes are peering them publicity.

He just want to hug this Youth and savor these moments.

"Arthur," Caspian place both of his hand on Arthur's chest and tried to push him away, but Arthur tightened his grip more.

"Ehem, stop hogging the spotlight Arthur." Valerie came while dragging Gwen behind her.

The Crown Prince sighed, before he let the figure in his arms free.Glaring at the grinning woman, he said,"The room is really spacious enough for hundreds of people to dance around Valerie."

"It's our time to shine, isn't that Gwe—"

The people screamed when the glasses exploded and scattered around the room.

"Guards!Protect the people!" The Emperor quickly demanded, taking out the sword at his left waist from the sheath.

"Caspian, you should go there." Arthur nudge Caspian towards where the crowd is sheeking shelter.

"What about you?!"

"I'll be fine, i'm gonna help my Mom strengthed the shield." Arthur reassured the worried Youth.His heart feel warm seeing that Caspian actually cared for him.

Though, back then he wasn't treated kindly.Who wouldn't?He chase down those friends of his who only leech him off of money, even beat up those thugs that surrounded him in the alleyway.

Caspian nodded, he grab Gwen and left the scene.He also need to find his family,

for sure those people would not hesitate to jump in danger just to find him.

"Can you find anyone with obvious pink hair?" He asked the woman, they stop at the corner.Succesfully avoiding the stomping of the people panicking.

Gwen shake her head,"Not yet."She looked back at the scene, blue particles slowly spreading and creating a big wall.

"What happened earlier?"

He totally forgot that scene.The first villain to appeared at the ball, trying to kill the Crown Prince because he was a thorn to their plans; Crimson Red.

They dyed the battlefield in color red,creating an ocean of dead bodies.It was totally gruesome and cruel to humanity.

Red cloak wrap around them, strictly didn't show any single details if that Red is a person/woman/man at all.Trying to find Red is really impossible at that point.

Nobody even know who is Really Red is.

"Look what we have here.Small ants running around like a headless chicken." A powerful voice echoed around the room.

"Who is that?" Someone asked from the crowd, all of them stop and stared at the figure floating in the air.

If only they didn't attack and cause chaos, maybe this will fascinate some people, but obviously these person is Red.A serial killer who wouldn't show mercy even if the victim is a child.

"Well, to answer your question.My name is Red, and I am here to kill the Crown Prince." Red said, a dagger appeared out of nowhere and pointed at the target, who was being protected by mages.

"It's this annoying low cheap budget of red riding hood." The Emperor gritted, clenching the sword.

"Hey!Do you know how much this cloak cost?!This is only limited edition of it."

"We don't care!!"

"Boo!"

These damn people really don't care for this person!Caspian thought, if they only knew that this person can kill them in just a second.They wouldn't mess with this person at all.

"Anyway time to kill."

Without having a second thought, dozen of black daggers appeared and flew towards the Crown Prince.The Mages quickly deflect the upcoming danger, pretty soon new hundreds of daggers appeared.

"Your Majesty you must flee the palace right now!" One of the mages yelled, they wouldn't hold up for too long.

Arthur shaked his head,"No I can't.As the future Emperor, it's also my job to protect the citizens."

"But you're still the Crown Prince," The Empress appeared beside him,"You go behind the shield right now.Your Father and I can do this alone,they are going after you and not us."

"But.."

"No but Arthur," The Empress shake her head,"Look at your Father there.He's alone taking care of those shadows.Did you see any scratch at him?" Arthur eyes scan his Father figure and the state that his Father is still standing pretty strong.

"Go now, Caspian will die worrying for you," He takes a last glance to his parents and left to go at the other side, Red saw this and directed a small dagger that turn curved and past flew the mages.

Arthur felt danger right now and duck under, the dagger flew over his head.

"Protect the Crown Prince!"

Dozen of Royal guards made a circle and carefully deflect the daggers going to them.Once they succesfully protected the Crown Prince, they got back to defeat those shadows that seem to decreased by a minute.

Red gave a tsk, before diminishing the daggers and flew up high in the air."Damn these annoying Emperor."

Red saw their hair stands up suddenly, they got alert and turn to the side, almost got hit by the Emperor's sword that flew to them.

"You should have prepared better Red." The Emperor threw a lazy smirk at them, annoying the villain on the air.

"I did,"

On cue, some people behind the shield transform into shadows! Caspian immediately runs to Arthur and grab him by the arm,"Do you have any plans?"

"I still didn't get my ability yet.It's not midnight," They stared at the wall huge clock at the distant.

[ 9:30 Pm ]

Before even Arthur can unlock his potential, all of the people who gathered here will die.

"Watch out!" Gwen was too late to yelled, she saw a shadow leap into the air and flew straight to them!

A huge pointy block of ice put a stop of the oncoming danger that can cost two lives of the teenagers.

"What is that?" Valerie muttered behind Gwen, green eyes shockingly stared at the humongous ice structure before them.

Hiding behind those terrifying block is the Crown Prince and Young Master Caspian.

"Caspian are you okay?!" Arthur asked the confused Caspian who stood before him, protecting him unconciously.

"I'm fine."
