'Forgiveness huh? I've been doing that to everyone who has ever hurt me, but where has that gotten me? Nothing but pain', I thought to myself.

But my mom was right, I wouldn't have been able to move on from Roy, had I been holding grudges against him, and even in the present case with Elizabeth, if I wanted to move on, I had to stop holding grudges against her, no matter how difficult it was for me.

As for Joshua, I didn't hold any grudges against him, but I was disappointed in him for trusting Elizabeth over me.

After staying in my mom's garden for a couple more hours, I decided to help my mom in the kitchen, but before I got inside, my mom came outside and said,"Issy, you have a visitor. He says he's your friend from college."

I was surprised and wondered which of my friends from college would take the trouble to visit me at my small hometown. Besides, my parents had already met my small circle of college friends, so my curiosity over my visitor increased.
