Chapter 81

The next day, I went back to my hometown with my parents and Leo.

Aurora and Gabby had to stay back for their own work, while I needed a change of scene, to help me heal.

While at home, I helped my mom with her gardening, and it was proving to be quite therapeutic for me.

Taking care of the little plants, and seeing the beautiful flowers around me, gave me a sense of peace and it took my mind off of feeling sorry for myself.

"Mom, look at the daffodils I planted last time, it survived. I thought they would have died already", I said, pointing to the patch where I planted them, and she smiled and said,"All it needed was a bit of better manure, lots of care, and a bit of time, and it survived."

When I didn't respond anything, she came and sat down by my side, and said,"Do you know Issy, that daffodils symbolize new beginnings?"

I looked at her with a blank stare, all I knew were that the flowers in her garden looked beautiful, and other than that, they were just flowers.
