What an exciting hell this is

After checking his status, Calvin peeked inside the boss room for a bit to know what they will face.

A few seconds later, he stepped back while cursing. "Fucking hell. This is literally a fucking hell."

Madelyne asked him. "What did you see?"

Calvin sighed to calm himself as he sent her a picture of the boss area with a bitter smile on his face.

Madelyne looked at the picture and the moment she did, she can't help but say. "This is hell alright."

Based on the picture, there were only 6 goblins in the room. But those goblins are more troublesome than 40 or even 50 normal goblins combined.

Out of those 6, there were 2 of each type of elite goblins which are the goblin warrior and goblin archers. And as if it was not hard enough, the last two are both 1st grade Boss monsters. One of them is taller than the goblin warrior and wields a bigger sword and wears a combination of leather and iron armor.

As for the other boss, its as big as a goblin archer. But instead of leather armor and a bow, it wore a blue robe and wields a wooden stick almost as tall as itself.

"They both have melee and short range. The shaman will probably be the most dangerous since we don't know its spells. And they have a chance of calling for reinforcements when their about to die." Calvin said after Madelyne finished looking at the picture.

"This is annoying." Madelyne grumbled before she continued. "You think you could kill that shaman Cal?"

Calvin shook his head. "Nope. Their too far in and their guarded by the three in the front. I might get discovered before I can even reach them. I don't think I can even take an archer out even if I reach them."

"Your right. Hmm then what if..." Madelyne said after thinking about what he said.

The two started thinking on their plan while resting. In the end, they finally came up with a plan that satisfied them both.

They stood up and readied themselves to go in and complete this dungeon once and for all.

Madelyne looked at Calvin beside her and smiled. "Ready?"

Calvin took a deep breath and smiled excitedly as clear excitement and fierceness appeared in his eyes. "Yeah."

Feeling the change around him, Madelyne smiled as she felt the ever familiar feeling of safety when she's with Calvin.

At the same time, a system message sounded in her ears but she didn't noticed it as her entire mind is focused on the power surging through her body due to Calvin's influence and the upcoming fight.

As always, Calvin used Camouflage and sneaked behind one of the goblin warrior.

With his new equipment and improved stats, he was now able to go toe to toe with the goblin without even sweating. Needless to say, it was obvious what would happen to it if he dealt a surprise attack.

Using the combo of Body Enhancement, Power Strike and Lacerate, he beheaded it instantly with his axe.

The moment that happened, his Camouflage wore off revealing himself to all the goblins in the cave.

Seeing that they had already started to move, Calvin faced the chief and used Power Strike again together with Axe Throw.

Meanwhile, Madelyne followed up with a shot from her bow and Mana Bullet in quick succession right at the chief before casting Mana Bomb to the remaining goblin warrior.

"Graaahhh!" The chief screamed in anger as it saw the warrior died but feeling three attacks coming, it hurriedly defended and stepped back as it knew that it won't be able to escape unscathed from those three attacks.

This left Calvin free to use Charge at the other goblin warrior and the moment he moved, arrows and a Mana Bullet shot past where he stood before.

The goblin warrior seeing Calvin rushing to it screamed as it charged to Calvin at its full speed.

For the very short time that Calvin used while charging, arrows and spells constantly targeted him from the three goblins in the back. But he bared his teeth and forced himself to move even if he felt pain from getting hit by some of them as he only had one goal in mind. To restrain the last goblin warrior so Madelyne could finish it.

The two knew they can never afford a long battle as they will surely die so they decided to take out the two goblin warrior first. This way Calvin will have more leeway in defending while Madelyne took her time in killing the archers as soon as possible.

Soon, Calvin and the warrior rammed each other and this time Calvin came out stronger as he stood still while the goblin stumbled back for a few steps.

Right at this time, Madelyne finished casting her Mana Bomb and shot it to the stumbling goblin warrior.

Without being able to defend in any way, the chief just getting back from defending the three attacks that came its way, and with Calvin blocking the way so that the archers and the shaman won't be able to interrupt the spell, the ball of mana flew without any obstructions right towards the back of the goblin warrior.

BOOM!

A loud explosion rang out in the cave as the goblin warrior flew from the impact with its body mangled and turned to mere pieces of flesh barely hanging to each other.

Unlike Calvin who needed to use 3 skills to instant kill the warrior, Madelyne only needed one Mana Bomb because of 3 reasons. The spell she used is far stronger, her stats are more focused on intelligence rather than being all rounded like what Calvin did, and most importantly because of the big boost in her stats from Calvin's Safe Haven skill.

Calvin hurriedly drank a health potion and a mana potion as he saw the chief coming at him with rage all over its face seeing the two goblins die without any resistance.

Instead of facing it head on, Calvin ducked down and kicked the foot of the chief, making it lose balance as it flew past Calvin due to the inertia from its speed.

Calvin looked back at the 3 goblin attacking from afar and saw them looking at Madelyne's direction and knew immediately what their planning. So he used charge again while bearing the pain in his legs from forcing himself to use it again as he rushed towards those three.

And once he got close enough, he used Taunt and roared at the same time. "I'm here you fucks!"

All the goblins attention including the chief was drawn towards Calvin due to the Taunt skill as they screamed in fury in unison. The goblin archers and shaman launched spells after spells while the chief stood up and ran at its full speed towards Calvin.

Despite seeing all the projectiles coming to him and hearing the furious roar of the chief on his back, Calvin felt more excited, joy, and alive at this moment.

And those feelings made him grin fiercely and a savage glint flashed past his eyes as he can't help but roar to let out all the his feelings.

"HHAAAAAHHH!"

His aura became more powerful that it the goblins flinched for a moment as they felt scared due to Calvin's powerful aura.

As for Madelyne, she has the same look as Calvin right now as she felt even more powerful than before and once again ignored or rather, didn't heard the system alerting her.
