Chapter 76

We take off running together in man form. He was faster than me but still stayed with me till we made it to the others.

"Lyria!" They shouted when they saw me.

"You were gone for a long time."

"I know it took longer than I expected, but I'm back and I found a village. So let's get going before it gets dark."

"Hey Lyria who is that?" Sam's asked in her small voice as she pointed to Noah.

"This is Noah. He stays in the village we're going to."

Lily walks over. "So, what's the catch?" She crossed her arms and asked.

"The female chief doesn't like me. I have to keep my face covered at all times so I'll be staying outside of the village. When I get settled I'll make sure you all know where I'm staying but I'll have to leave for a while. I promised to help someone a while ago and I'm late for our meet-up."

"We've only been free for two weeks when did you meet someone?"

"I met a winged beastman the day we escaped. He helped me kill the rogue that was trying to kill me. He wants information on the inside."

"Lyria, you can't do that. The king is awake and you no longer have his claim. He'll kill you if he spots you."

"I'll be careful Lily but if I can help bring them down then maybe I can get some revenge for all the lives lost by them."

Lily started crying so I went up to hug her.

"I'll come back, I promise. Let's get our new home set up. You're in charge till I get back."

We started to gather our things and were on the move in no time.

"So your leaving, where?" Noah asked out of curiosity.

"To Blackmist Forest."

"What, why? Don't you know how dangerous that place is?"

"I do. They're the ones responsible for destroying my home and murdering my family." I can't look at him now. The pain from the memories is starting to come back.

"I'm going with you then."

"I don't care, just don't get in my way."

Noah nodded his head and we went to Fox Tail village.

A female fox elder met us at the entrance of the village.

"The young ones will be staying with the elders and the male will have to find his own place."

"I understand."

"I'll see you girls in a couple of weeks, okay."

"Silver come with me." Lyria walked away with Noah and Silver following her.

I showed Silver the falls.

"My things can go in there for now. Make your place out here somewhere close by. I'll be back in a couple of weeks." I pointed toward the falls in the direction where the cave was behind the falls. He still refused to look at me.

"Silver are you going to ignore me forever."

"It's just easier for me this way."

"Well, it sucks for me. I'll see you later, take care, Silver."

"You take care and stay safe." I smile at him before grabbing my bag and heading out with Noah.
