Kaye is Dead

Jean Mary hidden herself under the blanket out of fear and uttered a silent prayer over and over. After 30 minutes she tried to peek from her blanket but the shadow is still there. Fortunately, she has it a habit of checking the locks to make sure it was locked properly. Her habit began when there was a time during her childhood that two men tried to sneak in their house to steal. The two men were apprehended and jailed because her father called the police who responded so fast.

Jean Mary tried to ignore the man outside despite her fear. She knew that the Reynold's mansion is sturdy that it can't be trespassed easily. Knowing this, Jean Mary's fear subsided a little bit.

The following morning Jean woke up, she looked out the window where the shadow was and what surprised her that there was a pair of man's clothes hanging outside her window. She felt that a big rock was lifted from her heart and thankful that the "shadow" turned out to be clothes. She thought it might be Jan's clothes that he hanged and forgot to remove in the afternoon. Since Jan's room is right next to hers she decided to inform Jan.

Knock. knock. knock.

"Come in." Jan responded without looking the door because he knew it was Mr. Smith.

"Good morning." Jean Mary greeted him.

Jan was puzzled why would Jean Mary visit his room early in the morning.

"Yes?"

She again rolled her eyes and said, "There you are again and again with your one word response."

"Sorry."

Indeed, you cannot change a person in an instant. "You forgot your clothes outside my window. You hanged it there and it scared the hell out of me. My eyes are covered in dark circles, I didn't sleep well because of it." She informed him. She walked towards his bed and sat. "Owww. Your bed is so soft." Jean Mary played on Jan's bed like a kid feeling his soft and bouncy bed.

Jan's eyes widen when Jean Mary did that. He closed his eyes, took a deep breath to calm himself when he saw that his perfectly arranged bed is being crumpled. He also noticed that Jean didn't change her clothes from yesterday that means she didn't have her shower yet.

"I did?" Jan answered him while his eyeballs moved from corner to corner.

"Yes, have you forgotten?"

"Uhmmm. Yes, I did. I will get it later." He said so Jean Mary will not stay any longer in his room.

"Be sure, so it would not cause a misunderstanding." She told him while observing his room. She noticed that despite of the dark colors and the lack of sunshine coming through, Jan is an organized person, his room is very clean and everything is in order. She then guessed that he might also have an Obsessive-Compulsive Personality. What a poor boy. She stood up and bid him goodbye. When Jean Mary was already outside of his room, he rushed to where Jean Mary was and fixed the crumpled beddings.

After that, Jan checked the clothes and get it from there. He called Mr. Smith afterwards."Mr. Smith, please check who is the owner of this clothes."

"How on earth did it happen?" Asked Mr. Smith in disbelief.

"That's why I ask you to investigate. No person in his right mind would do this. Maybe his target is Jean Mary."

"I will do as I told." Mr. Smith said.

"Please install security cameras in every corner even outside the gate. I have been complacent to overlook about the security of this place because I know that no one would dare to come." He said.

"Yes young master." Mr. Smith has been dismissed.

At school, Anne asked Jean Mary about the changes in her life and how she is associated with Mr. Reynolds.

"Jean, ever since the incident of Mr. Reynolds giving you your notebook, you have been subjected to every school girls envy. You know how handsome he is."

"Well just so you know. I don't intend to be envied by anybody." Jean said.

"You know, you cannot stop them to envy you. You are beautiful and smart. You don't have to do any surgery to achieve that perfect face and body of yours. That's why Kaye envied you to death." Anne truthfully told Jean.

"Speaking of Kaye. How is she."

"Didn't you know?" @_@ Anne curiously asked her.

But Jean Mary just gave her a meaningful look.

"Ow. Yeah right." Anne knew that Jean was not gossipy, she didn't bother to open their class' group chat account so she wouldn't know.

"Come on, hurry and tell me." Jean impatiently asked Anne.

But Anne teased Jean Mary and decided to delay the information. "And what would I have something in return."

"Hmmmmm... I will treat you to your favorite restaurant and you can order as many as you want." She promised.

"Hmmmm... Let me think first." Anne again teased her.

"Come on, just say deal already." Jean Mary knew that Anne's weakness is food that's why she is a bit overweight but still, she is beautiful.

"Okay. Deal." Anne agreed with a grin.

"Now, tell me." She was already impatient.

"Okay, Kaye was a victim of a hit-and-run and the suspect is still at large." Anne started.

"Don't tell me the things, I already know." Jean rolled her eyes.

"Wait. Here's the shocking revelation." Anne said in suspense.

"What is it?"

"Kaye was immediately rushed to the hospital." Anne paused.

"Grrrrrrrr... Anne!" @_@

"And Kaye was recovering already because she didn't have serious injuries."

"Thank God. She's okay." Jean was relieved.

"No Jean, you're wrong. She's dead." A shocking revelation that hit Jean Mary.

"But you said she's recovering and had no serious injuries." Jean exclaimed.

"Yes, and that's the most mysterious part. It is suspected that she was killed in the hospital." Anne told her.

Then Jean paused for moment and remembered their conversation with Jan last week.

Her eyes were wide to realize that it might be really Jan who ordered to kill Kaye.
