The killer

The sounds of crickets could be heard in the background, the clouds covered up the moon, the fog was getting thicker, everything felt like a death scene from a horror movie where the hunted got scared by the environment first before the killer made his or her move….

He looked at his watch again and it was 8:03, he felt the same chills he felt in his bones the last time, his sense screamed for him to go back to a crowded area, but he had to go back with Blair, he went towards the direction Blair went…

The building was eerily quiet as he stepped inside "Blair, are you done?" he called out as he got to the ladies room.

He didn't get any sound from inside, his heart beat increased it's pace, he could hear it, this situation felt so wrong, but he couldn't leave Blair, he had to look for her, he started thinking of scenarios where things could go wrong or what if she was kidnapped or she's just playing a sick game of hide and seek with him….

While checking the first floor for Blair he heard footsteps behind him, "Blair is that you,'' he shouted out, but no reply came, he stayed still for a moment waiting to see if he'll hear the footsteps, but this time he got none….

He continued his search again until he'd reached the underground parking lot. Suddenly he heard a female scream, he quickly ran towards the direction of the voice…

As he got closer he saw Blair sitting on a chair with her back facing him, "hey Blair nice one, haha you got me, I'm sorry if you I didn't get your joke the last time, but it's getting late, common lets head back to the party, I'm sure Blake is worried by now," he explained, walking up to her, he placed his right hand on her shoulder, he got no response from her, then he shook her lightly, her body fell backwards on the granite floor….

Her eyes were gouged out, the sockets were empty with blood oozing out pouring unto her cheeks which dripped down to her lovely fairy costume, but this time she was a dead, bloodied fairy, the sight was so horrible for Josh to take in, he ran towards a corner of the car park, throwing up right after, the gag sounds were so loud, that when he thought back to Blairs dead body, he also remembered his ex and couldn't help crying….

Bringing out his phone to call an ambulance, the time still said 8:03, it felt like time stopped moving for him or it's either his watch and phone were broken, he tried making a phone call but it didn't go through, he looked at his phone and there was no cell connection.

I had some connection a minute ago Josh thought…. All of a sudden a waterproof bag from nowhere covered his face, he felt someone's arm wrap around his neck and the waterproof bag, he struggled with the person behind him, but the person was too strong for him.

Alan quickly remembered what he learnt in his defence class that he stopped taking a long time ago, he immediately elbowed the person in the guts and the person's arm loosened up a bit, he managed to get free of the waterproof bag.

The elbowing wasn't enough, so he kicked the person in the shin to stall time for him to make it out of the building.

He heard the person release a string of curse words, that's when he realised his attacker was a male in a bunny mask…..

Making it out of the underground parking lot back into the building again, he noticed that the bunny man wasn't chasing after him and he relaxed a little, he felt so sore and tense after all the struggle he went through.

Finally making a stop in front of the elevator, should I take the elevator or the stairs to the ground floor, but then in horror movies the lights always get cut out and the victim gets killed in the elevator, after arguing with himself about what happens in a horror movie, he came to a decision and took the stairs, on getting to the ground floor, he saw the bunny guy waiting for him at the entrance of the building….

"I'm definitely screwed," Josh murmured under his breath, taking another turn to find an escape route, he came out to a lobby, he tried to open a few doors and they were locked.

If he continued to try the doors out, his time would run out faster than he imagined, not having many options he went towards the receptionist desk and hid under hoping that the killer would think he's left the building and go out to look for him…..

"Oh Jay boo boo bear, you can run but you can't hide," came the distorted mechanic voice, it didn't sound male. But this time, it freaked him out and it was only Jasmine that made a reference to use that horrible nickname whenever she wanted to annoy him.

"You know, your sorry girlfriend was an easy kill, you should've seen the way she begged me for mercy before I hung her like a good executioner would do to his victims.. She was no fun." the bunny man stated, giving off a sadistic laugh that gave chills to one's bones…

Josh's chest kept heaving, the anger and pain boiled through his veins, he was itching badly to kill this man, tearing up a little, traces of tears stained his cheeks, "you killed Jasmine, you killed my Jasmine.'' Josh asked rhetorically with shaky breaths, coming out from his hiding spot.

"Bingo, there you are love," said bunny man, Josh was about to throw a punch at him… but his body couldn't move, everything just felt cold and blank, this time with no alcohol to numb his pains he felt the dagger, it pierced through his skull, with blood blurring his vision.
