Chapter 1: Planning a Divorce

I sat down under a shade in front of my ten bedroom mansion as the thought of my wife's nagging behavior entrenched my mind.

Considering taking her on a surprise since I'm already fed up.

I documented a divorce letter to make it more official. In the morning hours when my wife had woken up, I walked up to her with the divorce letter.

Nothing, I couldn't have notified her on the divorce plan. Not even the fact that it is and had always been glaringly obvious that I am not in love with her as much as she is with me.

I decided to take her on a date where we could sit and discuss matters, telling her in a manner that will entice her. She requested her friend go with us, that sent shock down my spine I turned down her request, she did that as if she knew my plans, but she insisted and keep pressing on on her request and I finally gave in.

At the Lunch, I handed over the divorce letter to her secretly without her friend noticing what was going on.

Emily took the letter, went through it and her mood changed. I could see her hands shaking badly as she stared at the papers in her hand.

Emily's POV

I could not comprehend what my eyes saw when he handed over the divorce letter to me. I actually really love Liam and would just pretend by giving him some attitude even though that was my mother's advice, because we can't tell with men nowadays

Thoughts running through my mind. Becoming restless I began thinking about what steps I should take next.

Finally,I came up with a plan of booking a dinner and inviting Liam's relatives.

At the lunch, to avoid messing everything up, I pretended not to be bothered about the letter till we get home. Maybe if I just ignore those horrible words he just uttered, they will turn out to be a figment of my imagination.

"I became traumatized by such an unfortunate afternoon after the stress at the office, Liam my husband choose to welcome me with heartbreaking letter."

At home, Liam had left me to go shower up while I used a different bathroom. As I shower up, I felt the thought coming up afresh and it took me ages to finally quit the bathroom.

I walked up to Liam to talk things out with him but Liam didn't have my time. He rather demanded for a break-up romance as this would be our last time meeting with each other. 

I could feel Liam's soft hands running through my thighs and the pleasure sending signals down my bones.

His touch is irresistible in the midst of being heartbroken, I still gave in to Liam in hope that everything gets better.

We could only end up having unprotected and express sex that night as Liam would not listen to me.

The next day, I had to be in the office on time. Unfortunately, I had a very important appointment I can't afford to miss because there was an important deal to seal. And I couldn't come with any plans to rectify or better still resolve the whole issue.

At the office, I came up with a plan of booking a dinner and inviting his relatives as well as mine. This will be a very great idea as he cannot afford to hearden his mind towards his mother's advise as she was the greatest thing he had in his life.

I returned home early that day.

"I booked a dinner to celebrate the family bond….. your mom and Ava will be there" I told him in a voice that's not familiar but seems to belong to a stranger.

I won't be at the with you people because I have an appointment and that's an unfortunate situation but I can't help Liam. Do hope you understand, my Love. He asked me if I had signed the papers.

Liam's POV

Putting on a bony face,I expected Emily to have signed. But she rather said not yet. I insisted she signed.

Do sign the divorce papers before leaving, it's for our good as you will be compensated for the sign up. Emily, remember it's for the best.

She still kept a deaf ear. 

Do sign and leave it on the couch for me as I horriedly left the room. This I did without giving her a chance to ask any question. 

I dashed into my room without hesitation.

Emily's POV.

Liam's words sent signals down my spine. At the office, Emily's words keep running through my mind. I sank into my office chair. My whole body shaking from the emotion that I'm trying very hard to keep in check, tears dripping from my cheeks.

Liam, this isn't what I expected of you after all we had together. I scarce can't take it in. I do thought that I certainly going to be Liam's priority since I was only trying not to act cheap. I am very wrong.

Just then a message popped up on my phone and it was my mother.

How can you book a dinner and not be present at the dinner with us. You have to choose between the appointment or the dinner with us. We're all waiting on you.

I began pondering on what next to do as I couldn't stand the look on Liam's face if he sees me. But my appointment in the office is over and and what excuses should I give so as not to attend the dinner?

My phone buzzing up with different contact trying to reach out to me but I kept a mute mood in order to avoid the meeting, but that didn't really work out as they would not just let me be. Everybody insisting I should be at the dinner with them, but my actual intentions for the meeting is to bring Liam's family and mine to get to know each other as well as discourage Liam's decision.
