29: Training Elements

The next day appeared quite fast. After home room and Asher noticed Winchester glancing his way from time to time and they had a certain feeling to them but he ignored it.

During Magic Theory class, Flenchwester looked out of it for several moments before he came back to reality and everything he said was just nonsense.

Finally, Magic Combat class. Victoria wasn't there like on the first day and many people expected her to come but even after about twenty minutes, she wasn't there.

'Did she get sacked?' Luke thought sadly.

After about another minute of waiting, the door swung open and a familiar lady walked in. After looking around a little, she turned into a purple blur and crashed into one lucky boy.

Eva fell on top of Asher and she gave a smile and everyone averted thier eyes.

"Ash~ You didn't come to visit me. I was so lonely~" Eva sniffed Asher's clothes and immediately, her expression turned dark.

"You...*

"You've been hanging about with a woman lately?"

~GULP~

"The teacher's smell pheraphs?" Asher gulped and he felt a sting of pain in his hand.

A little knife slowly drilled it's way through his flesh and blood and finally went into the ground, nailing his palm there.

"Your punishment will be way more than that. Asher~" Eva stood up and Asher could only smile wryly.

"Okay! Let's start. Good day students." Everyone finally turned around.

"Somethings happened and I'll be your Magic Combat instructor for the next two weeks. We'll be training your respective elements in the meantime to prepare you guys for... Oh, that's a surprise."

"Yes..." The crowd answered gloomily. On a normal day, they would be happy and excited. Of course, who wouldn't want to spend 20hours with the school flower but unfortunately, that flower had been plucked by an absurdly strong person.

"Everyone with the fire element, move here, Water, stay close to the pond, wind stay next to fire. Thank you~"

After a minute, everyone had been neatly arranged into the groups of their respective elements and Asher stood beside Eva, she said something about a demonstration or something like that.

"Fire element, watch closely. Asher, circulate your mana through your mana veins without stopping and cast a fireball. Everyone should he able to do this without incantation but the only problem with it is that you can't move and it has a delay in this so no one uses it in battle." Eva explained.

Asher did as she said, circulating mana through his mana veins but...

...what Asher didn't know was that only Essence could complete a circulation through his mana or essence veins in this case which led to...

A large shining [Sunball] appeared and created a large crater in the distance.

"Ah shoot, I messed up." Asher turned and gave an innocent smile to his audience.

"That was way more than messing up!" Cashel shouted.

Eva too was surprised but she chose to not say anything.

"Fire elements, continue what he did. You'll be doing that for the next two weeks and maybe just one of two of you might make a yellow fire. Next, Water."

Eva turned to face those standing by the pond.

"You guys can breathe in water so you'll be able to get in there for twenty minutes max, practicing mana circulation and absorb the element around you. You'll be able to produce ice with constant training. Asher." Eva turned to him.

Asher calmly walked over and removed his shirt and surprisingly or unsurprisingly, the badge from his uniform appeared on his shoulder.

Eva's face turned as red as her sister's hair but before she could say anything, Asher dived in.

'Mana circulation, absorbing water mana. I can do that.' Asher thought and right after, the entire pond turned to a large ice block with a stunned Asher in it.

It began to thaw and Asher came out and wore his shirt.

"Earth element, same thing as water. Dig a hole six feet deep." Eva was beginning to enjoy this. What would Asher do again?

Sure enough, the area Asher had buried himself turned to an hard unbreakable rock in the next moment and he came out breathing heavily.

"N-next."

Eva smiled brightly.

"Wind element. You'll be doing the same exercise as the fire element and you'll make up combo attacks with them. Wind supports fire after all. Asher."

"Now this one's easy. Asher pointed his palm out.

[Tornado]...

A small looking tornado shot out of Asher's hands and it began to pick up wind from it's surroundings until it was the size of a large tower and Asher smiled at what he was about to do next.

...+[Sunball]

The two attacks beautifully combined with each other and formed a blistering hot tornado of fire. The heat it emanated was enough to give some some 1st degree burns.

Everyone knew this was a demonstration but... Wasn't it too much?

The invincible looking [Surnado] as Asher called it got swallowed up by a large black hole that looked even more intimidating.

"Now that's done."

The wind elements started to move around to the fire elements side and they started practicing.

"Now, Original Lightning. Everyone that has awakened this element always has two or more but never in history has there been Lightning and Darkness.

Everyone turned to Asher with looks of anticipation but like she'd read read their minds, she said.

"I never said, it'd be Asher."

"Eh? Don't tell me..." Luke's voice trailed off.

"Blessed spirits of lightning, darkness that crawls in the deep, show me your magnificence as one! [Corrode Lightning]"

The clouds above turned and twirled and slowly, everyone inched away from Asher who was standing cluelessly until he was totally isolated without knowing it and by the moment he realized, it was too late.

~CRASH!~

Dust and derbis flew all about and the smell of fried meat permeated the area.

As the dust settled, everyone could see an absurd scene.

Asher laid on the ground all burnt and sizzling although he was still conscious. Eve was gently checking his vitals with a smile on her face.

"I told you your punishment wasn't over." She continue to check his pulse.

"If he were a normal person, his body would start to corrode and he would turn into a disfigured zombie in a few moments but... he is Asher."
