Second gene lock

"At such a young age" researcher John was shocked. He looked towards Bian who also showed of his microcrystal.

"Are all young people in the alliance so talented now." Researcher John said with a sigh.

Only the few personnel with resistance to the light entered into the tunnel. They made their way to the crystallizer storage unit, a corridor with different doors on the sides.

They picked up the different crystals and diligently sent them back through the tunnel. They didn't enter the doors with warning signs.

They continued ahead and reached an underground plaza full of strange statues of crystallizer deities, there were many forks on this path.

"These paths lead to nurseries of the crystallizers, it could be very dangerous" researcher John said.

Bian gazed at a pyramid shaped statue, his brain going overtime. They noticed his look and researcher John said, "that should be the real entrance. Get ready to move that statue" he said to every one.

Bian remained standing while the others moved the statue. "Fall back immediately, once you're done" based on Bian's previous instructions even the older Researchers dared not to disobey.

The underground passage was revealed. As they went back, a golden light came from the passage. Bian threw the special grenade at another spot.

Boom!

The golden light went towards the loud noise, it was a 12 by 12 rubix cube constantly turning while floating.

The image of the lightning rune surfaced in Bian's mind. Time seemed to slow to a crawl. Bian brought up his laser gun and shot two beams.

The golden rubix cube moved to the right and dodged a shot, another laser perfectly went into the gaps and fried some important components.

"Stop recording and help kill this creature!" Bian yelled and they all brought up their laser guns. After several shots, smoke rose from the cube as it collapsed to the ground.

Bian took a mannequin from Han Yan and approached the stationary rubix cube. He seemed to be checking whether it was still alive. It was a weird thing to do, but showed his caution.

Cleverly, Bian used the mannequin to pick up a transparent-green unicorn beetle that crawled out of the crack created by the explosion. Then he made his way back, keeping the beetle in a blind spot.

"It's dead, no worries. I saw some purple crystals in the hole" he said and handed the mannequin back to Han Yan. He picked up the unicorn beetle from the mannequin and put it in his pocket, giving Han Yan a wink.

"It's true, let's pry this open" researcher Toby said, he began to realize someone like Bian could go far. It wouldn;t be wise to stay on his bad side.

After 20 minutes they opened the crack and brought out 16 purple crystal. With all other researchers around and the camera rolling again, they put these crystals away and continued into the underground tunnels.

"Wait, this pattern." Bian paused and studied the statue then the wall. "There could be parasite crystals waiting to ambush us inside"

"Then what do we do?" Researcher John subconsciously asked Bian, since he seemed to have a solution to every problem.

With a shrug, Bian pondered for a bit. "Divide and conquer, that's all I can think of."

They made their way into the passage, each passage leading to a different room. At the end of the rooms, hundreds of black-crystal cabinets were lined up.

As they opened them they discovered many treasures including a crystallizer memory chip. It was used to store information about the crystallizers, humans couldn't access it due to their weak mental prowess.

Bian kept the chip, he heard a sound from above. "They're coming" he said and the team ran out, even before they spotted any signs of danger.

Bian stood at the entrance welding two laser guns akimbo, the lightning rune surfaced in his mind, time seemed to slow to a crawl.

With unparalleled skill and accuracy he shot down the parasite crystals that came from the cavern. Everyone shot at the crystals but Bian was many times more effective, he could follow their movements clearly thanks to the lightning rune.

Boom!

The last pink crystal was soon taken out. "Hmm, they weren't that much" a soldier said. They made their way back into the passage, clearing out all the treasures present.

The researchers and Bian were able to deduce a path among the many forks. After a while, they encountered a gap. It seemed like an abyss, darkness enveloped the depths.

A foot long crystal bridge, connected them to a fairy tale like castle on the other side. Above them, green chandelier like objects hung on the ceiling.

All the researchers face instantly went glum. Those crystal would trigger with a change in airflow, it was impossible to go across the bridge.

"I might have a way, we dual cultivated a skill to conceal our life force including our airflow. We should be able to avoid triggering the air flow" Bian said, he signaled Han Yan to play along.

"So you want us to watch only the two of you go ahead?" Researcher Toby asked.

"You could go by yourself" Bian said coldly. Toby looked at the countless chandeliers on the ceiling, he wasn't an idiot. Hundreds of blood sucking crystals would fly out of one of those chandeliers. He could only watch as the couple went ahead.

"Alright, just be careful" researcher John wasn't worried they would steal anything. After all they would all be scanned once they returned to the ship.

Bian held Han Yan, they made their way across the bridge. Han Yan carried a big bag with some mannequin and explosives. They soon walked off the bridge and into the castle.

In the castle lay many corpses in a messy way, Bian held Han Yan and carefully walked over.

"It very hot." Han Yan said. The nine-life cat pendant on her chest got incredibly hot. They soon played a game of hot and cold, as they navigated the castle.

They reached a simple looking hall with a red crystal the size of a pigeon egg embedded in a crystal pillar.

Bian pulled out the crystal with no problem. He place the crystal on his forehead, it soon melted into his mind.

"Argh!" Bian released a scream and collapsed on the floor. His head felt like an overfull container that was still being pumped.

Han Yan called to him, but it was to no avail. Blood leaked from his eyes, nose, ears and mouth, he couldn't feel any other sensation other than suppression.

He felt like his whole life, he had lived under a carpet. He wanted to be free, he tried pushing away the carpet. The red crystal aided him and he successfully broke through his second gene lock.

Mental point targeting is a mutant variation of vital point targeting. This mutation occurred because of the extraordinary soul force Bian possessed while being a transmigrator.

The violent reaction occurred simply because his fitness was to low to handle a second gene lock.

Bian woke up, everything around him seemed blurry, but his mind was incredibly alert. He was extremely calm.

"You're fine" Han Yan immediately gave him a hug, she had seen him bleeding and pass out. Luckily he woke up a few seconds later.

"Yeah" he replied weakly hugging her back. Bian now knew he had a special geno art, he brought up the memory crystal for the crystallizers, wondering if he could access it.

As he placed it on his head, he saw quite a few bits of information. Things such as where the crystallizers base were, the experiment to open a gate to the outside and so on. There was too much data on the chip, he could only view five percent of it.

"Whoa, no way" Bian stood up excitedly, he saw something unexpected in the data. He placed his hand on the crystal plaza where the red crystal was.

He used his newly acquired mental powers to activate it with a specific line of code. All the people on the crystallizer planet heard a mechanical shifting sound, it came from the core of the planet.

It sounded like the pumping of pistons and the turning of gears. A new pillar rose up beside Bian and Han Yan.

A white palm-sized crystal card floated above this platform.
