Bian looked at the crystal card in excitement. Han Yan wondered what it was. "Do you know what the crystal card is?" She asked.
"It's a memory card. It has a qigong called the story of genes." Bian said, he picked up the card and placed it against his head.
Luckily for him, unlike the earlier card, he could view the entirety of this one. The story of genes was embedded in Bian's memory. Mental point targeting could always bring it to his remembrance in the future.
"Come on let's go" Bian said to Han Yan. They made their way out the castle and across the crystal bridge.
"Did you find anything good?" Researcher John asked.
Bian brought up another memory card, it wasn't all that useful though since humans couldn't access them.
They made their way out the ruins, although there was still much to explore. The earlier planet quake gave them a bad premonition, they decided to leave sooner rather than later.
They joined those who were left outside and made their way out the underground ruins. As they all made their way towards daphne, they noticed another ship on the planet. It was all black, and looked rather menacing.
Bian sensed extra life force on the ship, two of which were extremely bright. "Mister John, we only have one surpasser on the ship right?"
Researcher John nodded with a dark face.
Bian went back to meet Han Yan, "Do you still have those explosives?" Han Yan answered with a nod.
"Does anyone have a mirror?" Bian soon got a mirror from a female soldier. He couldn't tell them of his plan as he wasn't sure if there was a traitor among them.
He took the explosives from Han Yan. As he looked into the mirror, the aqua impostor beast soul was summoned. It swam into the mirror and came out as Bian, the doppelganger strapped explosives and grenades on itself and covered them up.
Bian broke off a piece of the floor. He emptied out a box into Han Yan's bag and put the crystal slab into it, he shaped it to match his plans.
He carved out a crystal ball the size of a pigeon egg using his jade like hands. He got injuries due to the nature of the crystallizers planet, but this was according to his plan. Soon a red like crystal was ready, painted with his very own blood.
He placed some purple crystal and the red crystal on the slab. It looked like the box was filled with purple crystals, with a red one on top.
All the time Bian spent preparing took less than five minutes. He moved as though he had done the carving and preparations a hundred time.
Bian's second gene lock in mental point targeting brings out the best of his ability. If you could get anything from a range of 20 to 50 in a test, with this ability you would get 50.
If it was from 0 to 100, you would get a hundred. It doesn't boost you past your ability, but ensures you do the best at all times, meaning if your best was 99, you would always get 99 without fail but not 100.
As the crew members boarded daphne, they saw a group of people holding their men hostage. They were unhurt but their surpasser seemed to be in a stalemate.
Actually their surpasser was stronger than that of their adversary, but he wasn't overwhelmingly strong. If they clashed, the shockwaves could kill his members and destroy the ship.
"Tell me what you want damnit!" Captain Ji said, frustration evident in his tone. They had been in this position for hours, with no one saying anything. They seemed to be waiting for the crew to return.
The tension was high, everyone was ready to rumble for their lives.
"Wait!" A voice called out. "You want these crystals right" Bian stepped forward and opened a box full of purple crystals with a blood-red crystal on top.
Li Mingtang and Wang Hou looked at the red crystal with meaning in their eyes. Bian quickly shut the box.
Their application to daphne was rejected and they were assigned to another ship for unknown reasons. They fled from their assigned posts and even hired a rogue surpasser, they needed the key present on this planet.
This planet would only be visited by daphne, so they waited for them to do the hard work while they came in at the last moments to reap the benefits.
"Where did you get those." Li Mingtang asked with a friendly yet threatening tone.
"We found them in the ruins and in a castle. Please let them go" Bian pleaded.
Li Mingtang and Wang Hou looked in each other direction, before they could even think about it Bian continued speaking.
"Actually I'm just a little bit below twenty and I'm already a certified crystallizer expert. If you take me as a hostage, I can guarantee your safe exit." As Bian was speaking, his colleagues signaled for him to stop, but all had been said already.
"Alright first hand over the box" Wang Hou said.
"No, not until they are safe" Bian said resolutely.
Wang Hou got pissed off but Li Mingtang stopped him. They had a weaker surpasser and planned on taking captain Ji hostage in the first place.
That was risky enough, but now as long as what Bian said was true. He would be a good hostage and could even be used to explore more crystallizer ruins in the future.
Soon someone came up and whispered something to Li Mingtang, he started laughing after he heard it.
"So its all true, master at ancient language and crystallizer expert." He looked at Bian as though he was a golden goose.
He signaled for Bian to walk over and placed a laser gun to his head.
"You bastard" Captain Ji yelled. The surpasser stopped him while shaking his head. "It was his decision" he respected Bian's choice to risk his life for others.
They could only watch as they made their way to their space ship.
"Damnit, how could this happen?"
Bian ran into daphne clandestinely, shocking everyone. He yelled "quickly let's go!"
"But how.." Captain Ji as well as everyone was dumbfounded.
"No time to explain, we gotta move now." Bian said with urgency. "Unless you wanna be part of the fireworks."
Daphne fired up her engines and took off.
"Haha! Look, the people you tried to protect left without even saying goodbye." Wang Hou laughed.
He snatched the box from Bian, they were now in his ship. If Bian misbehaved, he would beat him until he passed out.
Bian surreptitiously pulled a grenade ring. Wang Hou picked up the red crystal at the same time, he saw the transparent slab and poured away the surface purple crystals.
"YOU HAVE A DEATH WISH!" Wang Hou yelled and held Bian up by the collar.
Li Mingtang and the others had an ashen look on their face, they had been tricked.
Bian calmly responded. "Yeah, but you're the one who's gonna die."
Bian disappeared, a plethora of bombs and grenades went off before the surpassers could even react.
BOOM!
A massive explosion occurred, for the same reason the surpassers avoided a fight. A ship could handle some attacks from the outside, any significant shockwave from within would trigger an explosion.
"Nice fireworks" Captain Ji was laughing his hat off. Daphne was in the upper atmosphere of the planet.
They watched as seconds later, countless green crystals poured out from several locations and approached what remained of the ship.
"Serves them right" Researcher Toby said. They were all glad to be alive, no doubt thanks to Bian.
"Let's celebrate, cookhouse soldiers! Burn through our finest reserves. Were going home" Captain Ji said enthusiastically. He toasted to Bian and they all celebrated him, even he blushed from all the praises.
They gathered a significant amount of loot from this ruin. Although some purple crystals were lost, they had gained more than enough.
Bian looked at Han Yan who was working overtime with the rest of the cookhouse soldiers.
"Actually we all did this together. A special thanks to the cookhouse soldier who carried the mannequins and even brought along extra explosives." Bian put Han Yan in the spotlight.
"Yes, you even mastered microcrystal at such a young age." With Captain Ji talking to her she didn't have to work as hard, giving her some time for relaxations.
"Rest, we'll handle the rest" the captain of the cookhouse said to Han Yan. He remembered his initial surprise when Han Yan volunteered to deliver the package.
Bian saved her a seat, they enjoyed a fabulous meal together. With everyone laughing and celebrating, it was a pleasant experience.
