In the confines of a training room, Bian and Han Yan underwent the grueling process of achieving their first breakthrough in Jadeskin. The intense cold seemed to seep into their very bones, and for what felt like an eternity, they endured the bitter chill.
Then, as if a miracle had occurred, a sudden warmth enveloped their bodies, luring them into a deep slumber.
When Bian awoke, he was stunned to find that Han Yan had transformed into an even more beautiful version of herself, her eyes radiating serenity. He, too, noticed an upgrade in his own appearance.
"It looks like we succeeded," Han Yan said with a smile, her voice filled with contentment. She initiated her Jadeskin, and her arm turned translucent like jade, the same transformation occurring with Bian.
After a few more months of diligent practice, Bian and Han Yan entered their final year at the academy. Bian's knowledge of the crystallizers had progressed to the level of a junior professor, and he felt more prepared than ever for the challenges that lay ahead.
With a sense of determination and excitement, they both knew that the time had come to venture into the sanctuaries, where they would hunt super creatures.
Bian and Han Yan embarked on their journey through the sanctuaries, using the incredible speed of the berserk golden growler to reach their destinations swiftly. With the use of mental point targeting Bian would lead the way to all the 24 locations he glimpsed.
"Hop on," Bian summoned the golden growler, and Han Yan joined him as they sped off towards their first destination. The first location was shrouded in secrecy, hidden like a map designed by developers.
Upon arrival, they disembarked the golden growler and descended into underground tunnels that led to the lowest layer. Waiting for them there was an albino mole, its digging nails seemingly made from tungsten, razor-sharp and menacing.
In this challenging environment, the term "ganking" took on new meaning. Bian summoned the minotaur, and Han Yan summoned the Holy Angel, and together, these two formidable super beast souls pummeled the mole into submission, with the Holy Angel delivering the final blow.
Han Yan was elated as she exclaimed, "I got the beast soul—it's a weapon!" Bian picked up the life essence and handed it to Han Yan.
"Since I got the beast soul, you should have the life essence," she suggested.
"Okay," Bian agreed, and they continued their journey, riding the golden growler to the next location. Bian had only licked the life geno essence halfway by the time they arrived at their next destination.
The scene here was peculiar, as a single puddle existed in the midst of the red rocky plains. Curiosity got the better of them, and they threw a stone into the puddle, causing a slug to emerge. Quickly, they summoned the minotaur and the Holy Angel to deal with this unusual creature.
The Holy Angel struggled to cut through the slimy slug, and even when it was severed in half, the slug regenerated. After a prolonged battle, the minotaur grew frustrated and lifted a giant boulder, crushing the slug into a paste.

Bian handed the milky white life essence to Han Yan, which was smaller than the one obtained from the mole.
Their journey continued as they rode the golden growler to a volcano, consuming the life essence along the way. The experience felt like lovers riding a bicycle while enjoying ice cream.
After finishing the life essence, they pondered how to interact with the larva inside the volcano.
"So, do we throw a rock inside or..." Han Yan wondered, and Bian merely shrugged. He summoned the minotaur with the intention of having it fetch a boulder, but to their surprise, it rushed headlong into the larva.
Both of them were dumbfounded as they witnessed the earth trembling for a moment before returning to calm.
[Super creature fiery beast killed. No beast soul gained. Eat the life essence to gain 0 to 10 super geno points. Meat inedible.]
The minotaur emerged from the larva, holding a fire-like red life essence in its hand, leaving Bian and Han Yan in awe of the unexpected outcome.
"Do you take spicy ice cream?" Bian asked jokingly.
Han Yan chuckled at Bian's humorous comment. "Spicy ice cream? I think I'll stick to the regular flavours, thank you!"
Bian and Han Yan enjoyed a moment of humor before continuing on their journey through the sanctuaries. The big red life essence was placed in a bag, they felt sated for now.
The golden growler's incredible speed whisked them away from the volcano to a frigid, snow-covered field. They entered a cave within the snowfield, which led to an underground dome shrouded in darkness.
Armed with torches, the minotaur, and the Holy Angel, they proceeded cautiously. Suddenly, they heard a blood-curdling scream, followed by heavy footsteps rapidly approaching them.
A towering, 6-foot-tall humanoid ice monster charged at them, but it was swiftly pushed back by the minotaur and had its arm sliced off by the Holy Angel. Before it could regain its composure, Han Yan beheaded it with a segmented sword, its edge impossibly sharp. In just three moves a super beast had been slayed.
With the threat vanquished, Han Yan remarked, "No more relaxing. Let's have a warm-up." The ice monster dissolved, leaving behind a blue life essence that instantly filled their bag to the brim, mingling with the previously acquired big red life essence.
"Hmm, let's find a shelter and purchase a better storage facility," Bian suggested. They continued their journey on the back of the golden growler, leaving the snowy region behind.
As they passed by a solitary stone pillar crowned with a colossal stony head. Bian swiftly recalled the map he had seen from Huangfu Pingqing, and within an hour, they arrived at Holy Shelter. Wanting to avoid causing a commotion, they disembarked from the golden growler from a distance.
Inside the shelter, they purchased a large sackcloth and plenty of rope. As they exited the shelter, a group of thugs approached them. Their lecherous gazes fixated on Han Yan, while they dismissively ignored Bian. One of them taunted, "Hey, pretty lady, why don't you come have some fun with us?"
These thugs had observed Bian and Han Yan entering and leaving the shelter alone, and they chose this moment to confront them.
"Unfortunately, I don't have time for this side story," Bian remarked casually. In a blur of movement, he disappeared and reappeared in the same spot, leaving a gruesome sight behind – the heads of all the people who had confronted them were now separated from their bodies.
"What about those who were watching from a distance?" Han Yan asked, her voice carrying a hint of calmness and bloodlust.
"I can't be bothered with them," Bian replied. He summoned the minotaur and instructed it to deal with those who had been observing the gang members' harassment. Three individuals tried to escape using sacred-blood wings, but they were swiftly dealt with as well.
Among the corpses lay the merchant who had sold them the rope and sackcloth.
"See what greed can cause? Didn't we already pay for the goods?" Bian sighed, then continued with his task. Han Yan followed him, and together, they tied the sackcloth to the golden growler using the rope, securing it atop the lion.
With everything in place, they mounted the golden growler once more and prepared to set off on their journey to the next destination.
