Cheeky girl

As Yin Zhu was the new maid who was going to start her work today, Madam Huo as the caretaker and the head maid of the Situ mansion carefully told her about the rules and regulations of the Situ mansion that every servant has to follow. The rules were simple but they were extremely bizarre, the first rule was to stay away from the members of the Situ family, a good servant's identity was to never show their face in front of their employer in any situation and the second rule was to lower her head in case she mistakenly knocks into the members of the Situ family.

As long as she was careful not to look into their eyes she will be able to get away with her life.

And the last rule was to never attract the attention of the three young masters and stay away from them especially when they were in heat.

" I tell you this not to scare you but to put you on your guard," explained Madam Huo with a kind smile. " The three young masters have eccentric behaviour and if you were to catch their attention of them, then it will be really troublesome for you. The last maid who caught the attention of all three of them …even her skeleton is yet to be found…but you don't have to worry as long as you stay away from them." She added hurriedly when she noticed that Yin Zhu's eyes widened with fear.

" I understand, I will try my best to stay away from the three of them." Yin Zhu had no interest in the three young masters of the Situ family, the only thing she cared about was working hard. She has been relying on her father and sister for so long, it didn't matter where she was working as long as she was paid well enough to support herself and her family, she will be willing to work hard.

"It's good that you are smart enough," sighed Madam Huo as she pushed herself from the chair and then walked around the cushioned chair before heading straight to the small wardrobe that was sitting at the end of the room and pulling it open. " I have been in charge of helping newly hired maids and I assure you, apart from your sister and a very few maids, you are the only one who didn't show interest in the three young masters. I believe that you will be able to work here without any problem just like your sister and father."

She rummaged around in the wardrobe before she pulled a fresh set of maid's uniforms and then walked over to Yin Zhu.

" Here you go, I think that this one will suit you," she handed me a set of a white blouse with light peach lining on the edges of its collar and a peach skirt with a bow in front of it to adjust its length around the waist. Madam Huo raised her hand and then skimmed her fingers over Yin Zhu's open hair and then said, " It will be better for you to tie your hair with a ribbon."

" Ca..can't I just let it down?" Yin Zhu asked when she heard Madam Huo ask her to tie her hair. She was wearing the invisible patch of skin over her glands but with her hair down, she felt a lot more secure than it being tied up.

Madam Huo blinked her eyes and then she nodded. "It's all right if you want to leave your hair open but at least tie these locks that are falling over your eyes, it will be troublesome for you when you are working."

" I understand, madam Huo...I will go and take care of everything," Yin Zhu rose from her seat and when Madam Huo saw that she was preparing to leave without eating or drinking anything, she shook her head and then crouched down to pick up a cream-filled bread and handed it to Yin Zhu. " I haven't poisoned it you know? You can eat it."

" Oh, I am sorry," Yin Zhu realised that she was too focused on listening to what Madam Huo was saying that she didn't even take a sip of her tea. She sheepishly smiled.

"It's all right, dear," Madam Huo waved her apology aside. " I understand it's your first day here, working at the Situ mansion is no small feat, you do not need to worry about something so small as this. Now go and help your sister in the laundry, I am worried that if I was to keep you any longer then your sister will come looking for you."

She chuckled appreciatively at her own joke.

Yin Zhu bowed to Madam Huo before she went outside, contrary to the warm room, the entire place was cold as hell. As soon as Yin Zhu stepped outside, she felt a cold breeze smack her straight in the face, she sighed and then put on her shoes before heading towards the iron gates where Mister Bo seemed to be waiting for her.

So, when she reached the entrance of the house, she tilted her head and said before Mister Bo could say anything, " I didn't dirty anything."

" I know," replied Mister Bo with a sharp glint in his eyes. " But you are one cheeky girl do you know that?"

" I am not cheeky," retorted Yin Zhu with narrowed eyes.

" Then what do you call a girl who despite being told not to do something does the exact same thing?" He lowered his gaze and pointed at her shoes. " I asked you to leave the shoes here."

" The point of wearing shoes is to provide our feet protection," Yin Zhu stated calmly. " Maybe you don't know but that cobblestone path is filled with pebbles and stones, if I went inside the house without wearing shoes then my feet would have been hurt and if they got hurt, then I would have started bleeding. If that happened then I would have stained Madam Huo's expensive carpet with my blood. Don't you think I saved everyone a lot of trouble by keeping my shoes on?"

"….." there was nothing Mister Bo could say in response to that cheeky answer.

Yin Zhu smiled when she saw Mister Bo's expression and patted him on the forearm. " Relax a little, mister or you will grow old sooner than you think."

" You cheeky!"

Yin Zhu poked her tongue out and then turned around to run away. Mister Bo watched her run away and shook his head as he muttered, " I wish the three young masters would stay away from her. If they were to get their hands on her …." Mister Bo shuddered at the thought.
