CHAPTER THIRTY THREE

He carried her to her room and stayed with her till she woke up. She groaned softly and opened her eyes. She blinked when she saw him in front of her.

"Wow, I probably died" she said as she winced in pain. The pain brought her back to reality.

"You've taken more than way too many blows. Life hasn't been fair to any of us"

"Am I dead?" She asked.

"Why would you think that you're dead?" Hardin asked her back.

"Because I'm seeing my dead brother"

He laughed and held her hand as tears slipped from the side of his eyes, down his face.

"No, you're not dead. You're very much alive. I am not dead either. I told you to run and you did. I made my way out too and found my way back to you. You're not dead little one. You're here"

"Hardin? I don't understand. It's impossible. I watched you die!"

"You remember the witch I was dating one time?"

"Yeah, Brenda, was it?"
