Catching Up

We walk to the large garden in the back so we can have some privacy and I find a place for us to sit. "I really am happy you're here.. I don't know anyone here except Rune and Fig and Fig is.. well you know." Leon watches me and smiles. "I understand. Do you want to come back?" Leon ask watching Fig chase the Fairies around in the garden.

"No, I mean I would love to go back but it's not safe for me to be there. Ryder showed up at the club and to say the guy is scary would be a huge understatement." I say and Leon snaps his head back to me with surprise. "He showed up at my club?" He says with a frown. I give him a small smile and nod saying "Yeah he popped up and we got to see each other up close and personal and if it weren't for Rune showing up... I might not be here."

Leon's frown deepens as he says "I'm truly sorry Syn... I had not realized how close he came to you.. If I had known... I'm sorry." I pat his shoulder lightly and say "What are you sorry for? You're not responsible for me Leon so none of this is something you should apologize for. Besides I'm safe here in Rune's castle."

Leon looks conflicted but he nods and says "I'm glad you're safe. Are you and Rune a thing now?" I watch Fig as he almost falls onto one of the many fairy traps and I giggle. "Yes... we are something. I'm still trying to figure everything out so things are all over the place but I really do like him." I say looking back to him.

Leon looks at me for a moment before nodding and saying "If that's the case then I am happy for you. If you ever change your mind about... anything, you can come to me okay?" He says with a gentle but serious look. I smile and say "Thank you I really appreciate it... how long are you planning on staying.. If it's for a while would you mind helping me with something?"

Leon's eyebrows rise but he smiles and says "And what would that be?" I feel a little bad asking but I'm desperate so I tell him everything and he doesn't even try to hide his amusement at the whole thing. "So you're asking me to teach you how to fight because Rune won't?" I nod and bite my lip in hope. He laughs out loud and says "It would be my pleasure."
