I looked at Atticus again after Edward Sandoval left. Fck! I was fooled. Edward Sandoval and Atticus had a deal. Edward knew about Blue's past but it seems like he doesn't know about Nicholas. Nick Sanford trained his consigliere very well. He's fcking loyal to him even when he's already gone.

"Why did you do this, Atticus?" I asked, balling my fists.

He heaved a sigh and sat on the couch. "I told you, Theodore. It was Senior Sanford's plan."

"Then, why did he plan this? You were able to save Blue. Why didn't you just let Nicholas and Blue reconcile five years ago? They fcking lost five years, Atticus. Nicholas could've seen his kid grow."

He bore his blank eyes to me again. "Because of Laura Browning, Theodore!"
