I was washing the dishes when someone entered the kitchen and spoke. “Someone called me last night. He said he wants to bring his friend here.”

I looked at Edward and smiled at him. “Who is it?”

He shrugged his shoulders. “I forgot to ask. He seems like a normal patient from downtown. Are you free tomorrow? They’re coming tomorrow night.”

I nodded at him. “Okay. Just look after Nicholai tomorrow night. Bring the patient to the bamboo house.”

He went behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist. I smiled as he rested his chin on my shoulder and kissed my cheek. “Are you really okay? Do you really like what you’re doing or you’re just doing this for my grandmother?”

I squinted my eyes and faced him. “What do you take me for? Of course, I like what I’m doing. Actually, helping people in need is what I want.”

He smiled and buried his face in my neck. “God! What did I do good to have an angel beside me?”
