13. Primal Beast Tiamat Final

Heya me again i kinda get stuck on this chapter, because i know what I'm gonna do about this chapter but i don't know how to write it down so yea i kinda got delayed for a day.

They continued walking while protecting Lyria and defeating many monsters that were panicking due to this storm and attacking them.

"This way?" Rei realized that they were heading towards the place where Grandcypher was parked.

But suddenly a voice appeared that annoyed them when they heard it.

"Yoo-hoo! Long time no see!" Drang appeared with Sturm.

Djeeta and the others remained silent, watching the two of them, and without hesitation began to draw their weapons.

"Wait, wait, this time we don't want to fight! Please lower your weapons," Drang said, waving his hands in panic.

"Yes he's right so don't get the wrong idea" Sturm nodded upon hearing Drang's words.

"Indubitably! You guys saved our lives, right? We'd simply like to return the favor," Drang said to all of them.

"We both want to help you fight Tiamat," Drang smiled as he said that.

"Eh?" Djeeta and the others were surprised to hear this.

"Help us? Aren't you mercenaries paid by the empire? Why are you helping us?" Rackam felt suspicious of the two of them.

"Yes, we are mercenaries, but that job doesn't apply if they want to destroy the island and everything in it," Drang nodded as he answered Rackam.

Rei, who saw this, felt confused as this was slightly different from the game story where Drang and Sturm only offered to help them leave the island.

"So, what do you think, Djeeta?" Vyrn asked Djeeta about her choice.

Djeeta sighed upon hearing that. "Well, let's just accept their help, the more people the better when fighting primal beasts."

"Yes, your captain is right. With our help, your chances of defeating the primal beast Tiamat will be higher, and -- Owch!"

"Shut up, you talk too much," Sturm stabbed Drang several times.

Those who saw Drang and Sturm's behavior could only shake their heads.

"Oh boy, we got two new unique members," Vyrn said as he watched the two of them.

After that, they continued their journey to where Tiamat was, with the help of Drang and Sturm they were able to defeat monsters more quickly.

Sturm suddenly approached Rei, who was still focusing on controlling his power behind them.

"So.... Are you human or a primal beast?" Sturm suddenly asked Rei.

"Eh?"

Sturm spoke in a tone that she was sure couldn't be heard by Djeeta and the others in front of them.

Based on their previous interactions when Rei was watching her chest and then Djeeta and Lyria hit him in the stomach, Sturm knew that the three of them had a complicated relationship.

"Why are you asking that?" Rei was confused by what Sturm was talking about.

Suddenly Rei remembered that Drang and Sturm were actually hired by the Black Knight who wanted to save Orchid, who had abilities similar to Lyria.

'It all makes sense now. So, the reason they are helping us fight Tiamat is because they both want to see my power, huh....'

Rei was sure that the two of them wanted to observe his power and report it to the Black Knight.

"Maybe I'm human, maybe I'm a primal beast, or maybe I'm an astral," Rei answered Sturm's question nonchalantly.

"Astral? It's impossible that you're an astral, besides astrals no longer exist in this world...." Sturm dismissed Rei's words as nonsense.

"And.... can you stop staring at my chest..." Sturm looked embarrassed and she really want to stab Rei.

"Ah, sorry, sorry," Rei realized that he unintentionally looked at Sturm's chest while talking to her, so he quickly looked ahead.

Rei was curious about Draph body, how could they be so small yet have such a large chest.

"I don't know why but I feel like you're thinking something rude about me," Sturm stared at Rei with a flat gaze.

"No, no, it's just your imagination...."

"*Cough* Besides, if you want to know more about me, maybe we should try to be intimate first " Rei tried to tease Sturm.

"Owch..." Rei suddenly felt someone stabbed him and saw that Sturm was stabbing him with a red face.

"What?? Don't joke like that!? Besides, don't forget that we are enemies," Sturm spoke quickly.

"Hahaha.... you are indeed cute, Sturm. I understand now why Drang keeps trying to joke around with you," Rei started to Patting Sturm's head without him realizing it.

Sturm felt strange because this was the first time someone had touched her head, and she eventually grabbed Rei's hand to stop the stroking.

"Stop it! I am not a child or your friend that you can just stroke as you please."

Then laughter was heard from Rei, and the two of them continued to joke around until they all reached the Grandcypher.

"It's here, This is where Tiamat's presence is the strongest..." Lyria stopped near the Grandcypher and looked up.

"Here's where... Hang on! Are you serious?" Rackam was confused because he only saw the Grandcypher and no primal beast at all.

"Yes... I can feel it, Tiamat is above us," Lyria answered Rackam.

They all looked up, but they still couldn't see anything.

"So.... how do we get up there?" Vyrn said to everyone.

Rei wondered if he could use his wings to fly up and destroy the stones attached to Tiamat's body to end all of this.

But he had never tried flying with his wings, and it had not been 30 minutes since he had successfully manifested his wings without losing control.

"No, there's still a way. Everyone, board the Grandcypher!" Rackam suddenly ordered them all to board the Grandcypher.

After they all boarded the Grandcypher, they just stood silently on the deck.

"So.... What now?" Drang spoke to all of them.

"This is the airship I crashed... I was afraid of the sky for a long, long time. But the Grandcypher was waiting for me all along..."

Rackam began to walk towards the helm of the Grandcypher.

"I can feel it. This airship will go the distance for us!" Rackam gripped the helm tightly.

"Sorry to keep you waiting, but I'm back now... And I'm following your lead into the sky!" Rackam suddenly did something in that place, and the Grandcypher suddenly started moving little by little.

"We're moving!" Djeeta shouted with joy.

"He did it!" Katalina was also glad to see Rackam successfully piloting the Grandcypher.

"Sure seems like it! Now to set a direct course to Tiamat!" Vyrn dropped onto Djeeta's head and held on tightly to avoid being thrown off.

"Here we come, Tiamat! We'll show you what the people of Port Breeze can do!" Rackam, with a determined look on his face, looked up.

They all struggle to stand on the Grandcypher's deck as Rackam gets closer to Tiamat, causing the storm to grew stronger.

*Gragh... Raghhh!*

"Look at that!" They all see Tiamat flying with three dragon heads around her.

"Tiamat is so huge.... I never thought a primal beast could be this big," Rei is amazed by the primal beast's appearance as this is the first time he has seen one.

"So this is Tiamat..." Katalina feels slightly scared feeling the power of the primal beast up close like this.

"Oh no... She's practically lost her senses! I can't believe she was pushed this far. At this rate... my power won't be enough."

Lyria panics as she is unable to communicate with Tiamat at all.

"Hey, look, there's something stuck to Tiamat's chest" Rei pointed towards Tiamat.

They all began to observe Tiamat more closely and realized that there was a black crystal stuck to her chest.

"Crystal? Is that it!? Could it be the dark essence used by the empire!" Katalina spoke to them as if she had seen the crystal before.

"Maybe if we destroy that crystal Lyria can communicate with Tiamat again" Rei proposed his thought.

"But how do we destroy that crystal?" Vyrn replied to Rei

"In that case, leave it to me. I'll jump and try to destroy it with my sword," Djeeta immediately offered herself.

"No!" Rei immediately rejected Djeeta's proposal.

"I will do it, besides I have wings so if I fall I can try to fly here."

"Wings?" Sturm was confused by Rei's words.

"Even though you have wings, can you use them? You have never trained with them at all so it's better if I do it." Now it was Djeeta's turn to reject Rei's proposal.

They both keep arguing but suddenly the Grandcypher shook as the wind attack from Tiamat manage to hit Grandcypher.

"Kyaaaaaa!" everyone fell as they all lost their balance except for Rackam who was still trying to control the Grandcypher.

"Alright, both of you stop your argument!" Katalina stopped Djeeta and Rei's argument.

"Djeeta, I know you don't want your friend to get hurt, but I agree with Rei. Even if he falls, he has wings that he may be able to use to fly" Katalina looked at Djeeta seriously.

"Hey, can you guys explain to us what you mean by wings?" Drang asked in a puzzled tone.

"But..." Djeeta wanted to continue saying something.

"Hey, I know you both still want to argue but there's no more time, we're getting close to Tiamat" Rackam's voice suddenly heard by them.

Hearing that, Rei immediately stood up and headed towards the front of the Grandcypher's deck.

"Rei," suddenly Rei heard Lyria's voice.

Rei turned around and saw Lyria and Djeeta approaching him, while Katalina and the others knew that what Rei was about to do could be quite dangerous, so they all let the three of them talk.

"I know with your strength you can easily help Tiamat.... but I'm still very worried about what if you fall to the bottom of the sky," Lyria looked very worried as she gazed at Rei's face.

Djeeta also wanted to say something but Rei immediately patting their heads.

"Relax you two, just leave it to me and don't forget I can fly so even if I fall, I can come back," Rei smiled as he patting their heads, Djeeta and Lyria just looked down with slightly red faces.

"Yes.... besides, you already said you will join my crew so you can't lose here," Djeeta smiled as she looked into Rei's eyes.

Hearing that made Rei laugh and pinch Djeeta's cheek.

"Look at those three, Hahhh.... Maybe I should find someone too, What about you Sturm?" Drang nudged Sturm but Sturm remained silent and staring at the three of them.

Sturm remembered the patting Rei gave her earlier, for some reason it made her feel calm and comfortable. And when Rei was Patting Djeeta and Lyria's heads, Sturm wanted to go there and stop them.

Drang, seeing Sturm silent, started to look at what Sturm was watching. When he saw Sturm looking at the three of them, he began to smile.

"Ohhh it seems someone is jealous," Drang tried to tease Sturm.

Hearing that, Sturm immediately stabbed Drang with her sword.

"Ouch.... Ouch.... Ouch Sorry Sturm Ouch... Ouch.... Stop stabbing me"

"Alright everyone, get ready!" Rackam shouted to them all.

Djeeta and Lyria returned to Katalina and the others, while Rei moved back to the front of the deck.

"Hey Rei!" Suddenly Rei heard Rackam's voice and turned around.

"Just focus on destroying that crystal and leave the rest to me," Rackam spoke with a smile and nodded towards Rei. Upon hearing that, Rei nodded and gave a thumbs up.

Rei then returned to the front deck of the Grandcypher and saw Tiamat raging and attacking the Grandcypher with its winds.

*Graaarrrrrr*

Rei took a slow breath and tried to focus on using his powers. He raised his right hand in front and commanded his sword to appear.

"Come!"

The air around Rei's right hand started to crack and shatter, revealing a small dark portal from which a golden sword emerged.

Rei immediately gripped the sword and looked towards the crystal on Tiamat's chest.

Drang and Sturm, seeing the sword, felt a shiver remembering when Rei had swung the sword and made them unconscious.

The Grandcypher drew closer to Tiamat, who used three dragons around her to attack the Grandcypher. But with his skills Rackam avoided the attacks and shouted to Rei, "Rei! We're almost there, get ready!"

Upon hearing that, Rei summoned his two black wings and prepared to jump.

"Wow, so that's what they meant by wings, I'm even more curious now about what kind of race Rei is," Drang looked amazed at Rei's wings.

Sturm, seeing this, remained silent and gazed at the black wings, The only thought on her mind is only

'It's beautiful!'

Tiamat continues to try to attack the Grandcypher, but Rackam keeps avoiding her attacks.

At the end, Rackam rams the Grandcypher into Tiamat's chest, creating an opening for Rei to attack the crystal in Tiamat's chest.

"Rei!" Rackam shouts towards Rei, and Rei immediately runs so he can jump onto the crystal located on Tiamat's chest.

Although Tiamat won't have time to attack Rei, the three dragons around Tiamat still try to attack Rei, and suddenly their three mouths start emitting green light.

"Tch...Of course, every dragon must have a breath attack ability," Rei sees the three dragons preparing to attack him with something.

Rei continues running, reaching the edge of the Grandcypher, and then jumps onto the crystal on Tiamat's chest.

As he jumps, the three dragons begin to release their attacks; three green lasers appear from their mouths and head towards Rei.

Initially, he wanted to use Phosphorus to deflect the attack from the three dragons, but he is concerned that the attack could hurt Tiamat.

Suddenly, a black magic circle appears behind Rei, emitting bright light.

"Paradise Lost!" Rei calls upon Rays of Light and stops the attack from the three dragons.

The battle between Rei and the dragons continues, but Paradise Lost, even with just two wings, is much stronger than Tiamat's attacks.

The beams of light from Rei start heading towards the dragons' mouths, but Rei commands them to stop advancing and only hold back Tiamat's attack.

Rei then reaches the crystal on Tiamat's chest and tries to destroy it with a strike from his sword.

He swings his sword, piercing the crystal while ensuring it only hits the crystal and does not penetrate it to harm Tiamat.

The crystal starts emitting purple light after Rei's strike, and Tiamat starts thrashing around.

*Graaaaaarrrrrgggg*

"Ughhhh...come on, shatter!" Rei continues to try to hang on against Tiamat's thrashing and uses his aura to accelerate the destruction of the crystal.

The sword stabbed into the crystal begins emitting a dark aura, and the crystal starts to crack.

*Crack*

*Booooommmmm* Suddenly the crystal exploded when it shattered and Rei was thrown

"Uaghhhh"

"Rei!" everyone who saw Rei being thrown ran towards him

Rei was thrown quite far and almost passed the Grandcypher, but Djeeta sped up her run and tried to catch Rei

Djeeta jumped and was at the edge of the Grandcypher, she managed to catch Rei before he fell from the Grandcypher but because of Rei's momentum, Djeeta also fell

"Aaaaaahhhhh"

"Djeeta/Captain" Katalina and the others shouted while Rackam tried to turn the Grandcypher around and catch them

Djeeta realized that she fell along with Rei and started to think maybe she wasn't fit to be the captain of her crew because how many times she was involved in something that could kill her before she could even start as a skyfarer

She then looked at Rei who closed his eyes, maybe because of the explosion effect that made him faint

Djeeta chuckled a bit as she remembered the first time they met

Djeeta's life changed drastically after meeting Rei, where Rei cooked food from his world, told stories about his world, and when Rei saved her from a hydra attack

Djeeta then hugged Rei and rested his head on her cleavage.

She then closed her eyes while patting Rei's white hair while thinking how soft it was and started to think maybe she should have done this from the beginning.

They both continued to fall to the bottom of the sky while Rackam was still trying to chase them

Lyria tried to summon Bahamut to help them while Vyrn panicked and wanted to chase them but he was stopped by Katalina

Rei suddenly opened his eyes, but he could only see from one eye as his other eye seemed to be covered by something

Djeeta suddenly felt like they stopped freefalling and were just floating there, slowly she opened her eyes and was surprised to see them floating

"Um... Djeeta, can you please not press my head against your chest," suddenly Djeeta heard Rei's voice

Djeeta looked down and realized that Rei's wings were emitting light

"Rei, you're awake!? And your wings? It seems like you can fly now!" Djeeta smiled seeing them float like that

She then released the head of Rei that she was still holding and finally hugged Rei around the neck while looking around

"Wow... this feels really different from when we used the airship, right?"

"Um, Djeeta, please don't move yet, I'm still not used to using these wings to fly, so for now, I'll just use them to stop us from falling"

Rei waited for the Grandcypher to reach below them so that Rei and Djeeta could fall onto it

Djeeta stopped moving her head and started staring at Rei's face, she just realized how close they were

Djeeta was amazed by Rei's handsome face, especially his white hair and blue eyes, and gradually her face turned more and more red

Her heart started beating fast and she didn't know why she felt like this

She wondered if this was Love? The grandma in Zinkenstill had taught her about this when she was still being raised by her, but since there were no boys around her age in Zinkenstill, she had never felt it before.

While Rei was also looking at Djeeta's face, he thought she looked very beautiful and maybe even more beautiful if she let her hair grow a bit longer

Rei saw Djeeta's lips that looked shiny and inviting him

Unconsciously, they both moved their faces closer to each other, slowly closing the distance between them.
