Chapter 7: Eventful First Day (2)

3rd person POV

"What do you mean that the monsters went through the barrier?!" Anthony exclaimed at one of the instructors

"But sir, they did, I don't know what to tell you, we have now called on many allies to come help, most of the named are busy with their quest or dungeons too." the instructor replied "The rest of the instructors are coming and there is one ranker who is free at the moment, but you know those rankers..."

"How strong are the monsters?"

"Strong sir, there are some that the instructors themselves can't handle one on one, this means that somebody has disturbed the monsters within the depths. But luckily, it seems like they're all only coming from the north."

"But that's where we're located!" Anthony yelled in frustration before calming down

"But it's at least easier to defend sir."

"That means the directors will have to mobilize, tell the directors, leave one of them and a few teachers here to calm down and protect the students, the rest of us will mobilize and fight them to the very best of our abilities, and you try to get in contact with every clan and teachers that is available to help."

<This never happened before, so we didn't think to bring many instructors with us, shit!> Anthony cursed as he then went to help his colleagues in the fight < If we win, we'll just play this off as part of the opening act, but that's only if no lives are lost.>

Cordelia POV

For a guy who's supposed to keep an eye on me, he sure is taking long to come to find me or something, then again it was my fault for not asking for that guy's number.

If he's that talented, he can just use magic to search for me through the large crowd. If his sister is a famous raider, that means that he's rich too.

So he's talented, handsome and financially stable, if he can cook, I might have just ask him to marry me right there and then, it's not like it's that rare to see people marry during their academy years anyway.

My father definitely made the right decision to keep him away from me, stupid hot sleeping guy.

But then several live screens then popped up in the middle of the coliseum, it's a live feed of what's happening at the barrier, the barriers have been penetrated, it seems like the teachers doesn't know about this live tape either, since it would probably cause a panic, not just here, but in the whole tower that monsters can go through the barrier of a safe zone.

Fortunately, it seems that the monsters are only coming from one direction because all the screens are showing the same scene, some have different angles, but it's the same spot, so it's at least easier to defend.

But then all the screen pointed in one direction, a familiar silver haired person, similar height and hair color and everything, but he's in this long black collared jacket that goes to his knees over a white collared shirt and black pants. He also wore a black mask to cover his face, but it's him, Perseus Silver...but why is the tower pointing the view at his direction.

3rd person POV

Perseus then opened up his spatial storage and a sword in a black sheath, he then unsheathe the sword, it is a silver chokuto with a dark black handle which he hold with his right hand.

He was standing on one of the tallest trees as he then in a flash jumped down. Despite being upside down, he cut down many flying creatures flew towards him, and all of them died in just one cut.

He landed perfectly and charged forward to where the teachers were at, cutting and slicing up any enemy that comes in his way, and with a swipe of his hand, a wall of spiky ice froze over the ground, freezing anything that got caught it its path, the wall of ice was well over 20 m tall.

<Instant cast?!> Cordelia thought in extreme shock <Chant-less casting should be normal for at least half of the elites, but even then...even without a chant, there's still a second or a few seconds delay till a spell activates. To think he did with just a swipe of his arm.>

<Silver storm.> Perseus casted.

Hundreds of silver blades of light then appeared in the sky and around him, it then slew around the whole area piercing every monster in sight, it all flew straight through the chest of heads of monsters and it just look like a swarm of bees swarming around a bush of flowers, but it is light blades flying at lightning speed.

A flock of wyverns then appeared from forest flying at high speed releasing screeches that can be even heard from the arena. Perseus backed away a bit, and crouch down, bracing his legs to kick off the ground to jump.

It barely took a second, but at the nest moment, a head of a wyvern flew off. he then jumped from one wyvern to the other, causing one to fall after the other as they couldn't even comprehend the speed of them being cut down. He then used one of the bodies of the wyverns to have something to stick to as he then kick it off and jumped towards the ground.

The flying blades killed almost every beasts that came into contact. The ground then rumbled as a giant rock golem about 20m tall burst from under the ground.

"Ground splitter." With both his hand on the blade bringing the sword down, the golem got split into 2 along with the forest itself as there is a clear visible mark of a giant slash on the ground.

'Quest complete! Emergency resolved'

But after than, the status screen of every raider popped up, the list scrolled it self up to number 11 where only the nickname is available for the spot.

"The silver prince." Cordelia read aloud with a hand over her mouth to hide her gasp of amazement.
