Perseus POV
The beasts are now about 50 minutes away, we are now just waiting near the academy in the open fields for the beasts since it will be a more advantageous fight for us.
"Lia, he rested enough, can you wake him up with cold water please?"
She did it after a moment of hesitation. Elliot jolted upwards and looked at his surroundings. And coughed out the water that went through his system.
"That wasn't a dream..." he muttered
"Well, rise and shine, handsome elf, they're increasing their speed, 24 minutes tops. Should be enough time for the 2nd best raider to freshen up and kill the beasts alongside the rest of us."
Emma and Lia are just here to fill the spots since I don't mind giving them my identity and if it's those 2, especially Emma, who has been super curious from the beginning, they'll figure it out by my 3rd year in this academy.
"You can sense it too, right?" My sister asked "The monsters that are heading our way all have strength similar to the ones in the pit, albeit just a few fractions weaker."
"I seriously can't believe I have to remove my limiter for this."
"Me too." she sighs "At least not this early."
"Lia, Emma, just because you're watching from a distance, doesn't mean you should be entirely useless, send constant healing and support magic to these 3. Richard will take west, Elliot the north, you 5, the south. Me and Diana will take the east since I sense that they are the more powerful one."
"Are you seriously taking the stronger ones? I know you can't occupy 2 spots in the rankings, you know." Elliot retorted "The tower won't allow to be both the prince and the weaver guy at the same time."
"You'll see."
I got to my status screen and went to the settings and go to the limiter section. I took many deep breaths and my finger shook above the yes and no confirmation after I clicked 'Remove all limiter'.
As I resolved myself, I saw glimpse of my past and hear voices that was all too familiar to me and brought back terrible memories.
"Perseus, it's okay, I'm not hurt." the voice of the younger Diana said to reassure me
I saw her with injuries all over her body and even small spots where her bones were visible and her flesh barely regenerating with her blame flames.
On my hands, blood, it was everywhere as I held my blood soaked head and crying my heart out and curled up on a field of red sharp and ragged rocks. We were in Tartarus, it was dark at most places with the brightest spots are lit by the flowing river of Phlegethon.
It was either really quiet or really loud in the abyss due to the sound of the screaming tormented souls that found their way down there, or sometimes if you find the right spots, you can hear growls and roars of the monsters in there.
Around us were many dead corpses that looked like they were incredibly ravaged and got savagely devoured.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry."
"I know you didn't mean to hurt me, c'mon we need to move." she pulled on me and got me up
"Sis, I hate these powers, I can't control them...please...I don't want to hurt you again..."
The vision ended there. my powers have definitely become more stable throughout the years, but I still have trouble with some. It is both a blessing and a curse to have the blood of my 2 parents.
Tartarus powers are very dark and you can say that it is the darkness itself, he is one of the gods that even the Olympians or Hades wouldn't want to go against, Hades himself only rarely go down to the abyss to check on some things.
My mother is the goddess of the sun, so she embodies light and is arguably the strongest amongst the Japanese deities.
I have both their powers in my body, sometimes they balance each other out, but other times, well since they are polar opposites, they also clash against each other. They are equally balanced only when I sleep or expel a lot o mana from my body, otherwise, it clashes and mix that with the colossal amount of mana swirl in me, it's a pain.
It took a minute, but I clicked yes.
3rd person POV
Before Elliot and Richard can even move to their section of the open field to fight the oncoming stampede of monsters, they can sense an absurd amount of mana being released, they turned to see the Silver siblings with swirl wind and mana around them.
A certain number appeared right below Perseus' right eye, the number 11. For those in the top 13, the moment they got placed there, they will have a tattoo of their rank somewhere on their body. But what shocked them nest was that Diana had the same number but below her left eye
The mana in the area is now distorted and chaotic with the pressure coming from those 2 even more intense than before. Everyone on the floor also got another instant pop up screen from their status screen with the name of the 11th rank being replaced and the number 1 being revealed for the first time.
'Rank 11. Name: Diana Silver. Age: 26. Race: Demigod. Nickname: The Infernal Princess. Current floors reached: 52. Individual threat level: SSS.'
'Rank 1. Name: Perseus Silver. Age: 18. Race: Dhampir/Demigod. Nickname: The Weaver of Calamity. Current floors reached: 17. Individual threat level: N/A'
Cordelia touched the screen to make sure of Perseus threat level only for another pop up to show up.
'Strength cannot be measured by the current threat level system.'
And a single digit of the number 11 under Perseus' eyes turned to dust leaving the number 1 dead center below his right eye.
"Well I don't know which god decided to mess with me, but it sure is relaxing to finally be let loose after a long time." Perseus said as he then stretched his body
