Chapter 33: Emma (2)

Perseus POV

Due to the earlier incident of the pseudo dungeon turning real, it seems people are starting to take the hypothesis of the frequency of it becoming an actual one seriously when no one cared before.

But due to that, the directors are now leading some scientists to study those portals, and the directors room is now only guarded by 2 patrolling officer, I can knock them out, but it'll be bad once they wake up. So I just have to use magic to make them slowly fall asleep, but afterwards, the director's meeting room have magic detectors that can detect my presence the moment I step in.

I would need help, currently I'm just blending in the shadows and used magic to become a shadow and hide my presence. As I was thinking of a plan, Emma walked by the room a bit later and talked to the guards and whatever she said, the guards then went away.

She then whispered under her breath which my enhanced hearing picked up.

"I know you're here, Perseus." she mumbled as she opened the door and head in

I then used shadow magic to shadow travel into her shadow as she headed in and closed the door. I popped up to see her cross her arm.

"Don't worry, I convinced the director that I would be here with my brother, though he doesn't know that you're the one who's actually here." she reassured "There's no camera in here since the directors' meeting are extremely secretive, my brother will cover for us, don't worry."

"Why are you doing this?"

"I know you're trying to investigate something in the academy, your sister asked me to help, but like you, she kept it all a secret, if it has to be a big secret, I assume this is one of those places."

"You know me too well, tch."

"Not well enough, you still hide many secrets."

Yeah, like me being in the Mirage Legion and many other things.

I then went around to check the shelves of books and used magic to investigate things in the room. I se nothing, Emma helped out even though we don't really know the exact thing that we're looking for.

I then removed one of my limiter since I see nothing.

'Skill: Eyes of Horus reactivation.'

My right eye turned golden and the left turned silver. The eyes of Horus, the right is the sun or the morning star, representing strength, also associated with Ra as the eye of Ra, who is the god of the sun. The left equated the moon or evening star, representing healing, sometimes also associated with Thoth as the eye of Thoth.

Horus have both the eyes, and I also possess the same skill, it's a skill that I put under my limiter so that I don't activate it by accident, I can see it, there's something on the large round meeting desk.

It's in the center, and you have to inject mana into it, But it's not that easy, you have to be a good mana manipulator as there are a maze of wires where you have to navigate your wires, so just injecting mana without proper skill won't work.

It took minutes but my mana reached this mana battery of sorts where I charge it up and it activated something. The table lit up and then twisted and sunk to become a staircase that goes into the dark which got lit up at the presence of my eyes.

'Magic and presence detector have been deactivated.'

'The meeting room's door is locked until you close the stairwell.'

I stopped using it and put my limiter on again, I do not plan to use this again for a while.

"Your eyes sure shine brightly. You work well as a flashlight." Emma commented "But you're not just finding one thing in this academy, are you?"

"No, I have many things that I need to know, the school will be empty again during the clan draft, I'll stay behind in the dorm and investigate more."

I then took out a flashlight from my spatial pocket since I don't want to use any more magic in case there's a boss somewhere down there, I brought along one of the brightest flashlight along as well, it lit up a lot.

I then headed down with Emma following me from behind.

"Aren't you going to stay up and keep watch just in case the 13 gods decide to mess with us?"

"Yeah, no." she replied "I rather keep watch over you."

"Seriously, why did you come and watch over me? I don't really need help even though I'm grateful for today."

"You always find yourself in the center of many things, Cordelia is too young and weak as a partner as she is right now, even my strength as of current isn't enough to qualify. What were you thinking when you ask her? She may have potential based on her father's report, but she can barely qualify as an F rank right now, along with the rest of your class."

"Cuz she was pretty, I guess."

"We know that that's a lie." Emma grumbled "You aren't that much of an idiot, you're probably one of the smartest person I know."

"Thanks."

When we arrive at the bottom of the staircase, we learned something alright, something that can shake the tower at its core, the 13 lords and the secret of the 110 floor tower.

We learned a lot of things.

'Congratulations, you are the firsts to find out one hidden secret of the tower. Calculating rewards...'

"Yeah, sis, that's what we learned." I reported

I got back to my dorm and Emma followed, I called my sister and reported everything I learned the moment I got in and lock the dorm. Even the Mirage Legion wouldn't know about this, so only 3 people currently know of the secret.

"Gods, if this spreads, the tower will be in disorder." Diana replied "And why is Emma in your room?"

"The academy currently hasn't arranged her a room in the teacher's dorm, and she's too lazy to go back home, she doesn't know how to warp either, so she's just going to sleep here for the night."

"Then warp her there."

"She moved, I don't know where her new home is."

"Then please do not do anything that cross the line alright, you guys are not dating anymore."

"I know...I know." I replied as I then turned to see her sleeping in my bed
